I just have to say I cannot wait until Moscow show. According to Adamsquotedaily, she knows of at least 100 people going.

  2. glambotgram says:

Very interesting article and I think will be appreciated by the peeps here.

    Yep Pauler did it.

More than 100 going to Moscow, We should definitely get video, woohoo.

  3. Miss Chaos says:

Excited about possibly seeing Adam on the Red Carpet tomorrow nite, or even in the audience. And sounds like we will be getting videos or info from Moscow, how cool will that be. He probably is just singing songs from GN, no surprises, he will keep a tight show, hes not gonna add anything new and take a chance I dont think.

  4. luval says:

Miss Chaos. I pretty much agree with you about the concert. I think he’ll be doing the GN show. As during the 2010 GN tour there weren’t many surprises…Metallica, Purple Haze… a couple others. But honestly, this is why I loved his tour! Many artists change their set list with almost every show. How many times have you gone to a concert and not hearing a song you were hoping for, yet they sing it the next night in another city! I’d be pissed off!! Yes, a very tight show I think too. Quite possibly a new song?? I miss GN and could see it again and again. But whatever he does, I cannot wait! Hope we get some crumbs.

  5. dcglam says:

I’m sure they’re gonna show Adam in the audience tomorrow night!! Yay!!

Yep….. the only reason I’ll be watching! Wink

  6. asiangurl says:

Don’t know if it is ok to say this but over at homeplanet they have a couple of new pictures of adam at carmit baby shower..
Adam looks gorgeous as usual but the one of tommy is too cute.

  7. glambotgram says:

Asiangurl I just looked at those— too cute.

  8. milwlovesadam says:

Hi guys, hey, I just heard from mlg. She would be happy to make a poster for Moscow, but wants some pictures sent to her for ideas. I’m not going to post her e-mail here. If somebody has a pic, please contact me at the fansite and I’ll tell you how to contact her.

  9. glambotgram says:

Awesome Mils I flove the posters.

How about when he won the Golden Otto Prize “Best Male Singer” from Russia There is a picture of the magazine page.

    http://yfrog.com/z/5o92365038p

Also the harem pants would be appropriate for Russia poster IMO

  10. AL says:

Looks like Adam will be on Russian radio on Saturday – radio Maximum!

    Maximum

  11. AL says:

And he’s #3 on their Best Tracks too!

    Best Tracks

  12. Kradamour says:

Also the harem COSSACK pants would be appropriate for Russia poster IMO

Geez…! Let’s get it right, peeps!
Yes, they would! and add that fabulous white peasant shirt to them, and his tall brown leather boots…(swoon)

(slaps cheek) Oh, right, pics for a poster. I lost track for a minute and thought we were discussing assembling an outfit nevermind… Rolls Eyes

VERY glad to hear that peeps will be in Moscow! and really I think it is almost better if they do GN again, I frankly can never see it too many times.
And please oh please let him do a cossack dance as part of the show, just a few steps, that would make me so happy! and would seal his fandom in Russia forever…

  13. milwlovesadam says:

    kradam…LOL….

  14. Kradamour says:

Adorable pics, asiangurl! thanks for posting!

Older son is over the pacific ocean right now going back to Korea. sadz. Nice to have new comments for distraction.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if someone did a live feed of the concert in Moscow??? It is younger son’s senior prom night so I’ll be up anyway…
Russian radio, too – end of performance dry spell! Woot!

  15. Kradamour says:

mils, my dad was Serbian. Cossack blood flows in my veins. Love.those.pants…

  16. eywflyer says:

milw, thanks for relaying the info from mlg. I’ve emailed her, and Adamland will be sending some pix. Will be really cool if we have a new poster for the Moscow thread!

Speaking of Moscow, the plan is for renataademelo to start up the thread very early Saturday morning. I’m sure most of our chat will be on that thread during the weekend, although I would ask that chat completely unrelated to the Moscow show (like Quebec plans) remain on this thread. After Moscow, this thread will be active for a few more days, then as previously discussed we’ll move to a new open thread on Wednesday, June 1st.

  17. nkd says:

I have to say that Kirstie Alley looks so good!
I need Max to work out with me!

Yes, the cossack pants would be very fitting for the Russian concert. That’s the only place I like them. And the white peasant shirt would be perfect!
Now what time did we say Adam’s performance will be?

  18. milwlovesadam says:

Well, I’m nearly 100% Russian,( Belarussia, Minsk and Pinsk ) however, the word “Cossack” to me is, well, not pleasant. It has to do with history. And hate/bigotry/fear/murder and rape. Cossacks are the reason my family on both sides left Russia and came here.

That being said. I just plain don’t like the pants. Sorry.

But, if he did that Russian dance, a la, Fiddler on the Roof, you know that squatting kick thing, I think my heart may never recover. And, if he did it while wearing the white peasant shirt from KISSFEST and the laces, I would need CPR.

Aah yes. We all have our ” fantasy Adam ” ….

  19. milwlovesadam says:

Hey, did anybody watch Glee tonight? I had an Adam moment when Kurt and Rachel were 1) On the Wicked stage and 2) realized that Kurt was wearing an Adam style of suit ( WWFM video much?) with Adam’s curly toe boots, and his hair very very very much like our boy’s. Short on the sides, middle up and pompadoured.

When the camera zoomed out, and you could see the whole profile of him, it was just so Adam!

  20. asiangurl says:

Good night everyone, sweet adam dreams. Sons had both computer and laptop tonight. Couldnt use it. Bye!!

  21. Kradamour says:

    mils, I hear you.
The cossacks were a dangerous and violent force, and much of what they did – especially in more recent history – was unforgivable.
But Serbs’ Cossack roots are very ancient, almost mythical – like the Serbs, the Cossacks were also a wild and joyous people – untamed and uncivilized by our standards – and it is that which Serbs take pride in.

  22. Kradamour says:

eywflyer, thank you for the explanation of the threads to come. I love that this site is so organized and well thought-out!

  23. HK fan says:

    Hi all.
I enjoy reading all your comments even though I don’t always post, haven’t really got much to contribute re all the food talk…don’t know what a lot of the stuff is, now if you want to know about such delicacys as chicken feet, fish cheeks or abalone….
I never have any good Adam stories either like Mils, I just wish I had a photo to whip out like she does. i did have a kinda of, slightly Adam related moment last week. I was waiting for my youngest after her dance class when one of the other mums started talking to her daughter in a foreign language. I said “are you from Finland”, she looked at me all shocked and said ‘Yes, how did you know the language?”, I said long story, but someone I know is going out with a Finnish man!
Counting down to the Russian concert, hope he gets there, the Icelandic volcano is causing lots of problems over European airspace again.

  24. Kradamour says:

Wow, HKFan, that was a lot of cool information in one post! Fish cheeks, Finnish, and volcanoes! I also would be very sad for the Russian fans if flights became difficult for Adam, and I think he must be looking forward to being on a stage again.

How impressive that you recognized the Finnish! a very nice little story for a morning post.

And I would like to know more about fish cheeks, please. Shock

  25. CODYSMOM says:

Sadly no Quebec for me.Will save the money so we can go to more concert’s when Adam’s new tour start’s.
Hk fan,I used to eat pickled chicken feet and pickled pig’s feet. Are those anything like this.I was born and raised in Kentucky, and some of the thing’s I had to eat as a child would make me gag if I had to eat them today.

  26. HK fan says:

Haven’t eaten chickens feet myself, can’t bring myself too. My husband has though, at a chinese banquet (always the most expensive, disgusting stuff). Watching him gnawing on them looked just like he was eating a little hand, complete with knuckle and little nails..yuck. Don’t know if they’re the same Codysmom as they’re not pickled. They eat all parts of everything here, the fish cheeks are supposed to be the best part of the fish.
And as to ‘the morning post’ its now 9.15pm here….thats why I’m usually late to the party, totally wrong time zone!

  27. Ron says:

    Good Morning,

I see now that TPTB for the St.Agathe festival have made a small but slightly significant addition to their flimsy 7-line write-up of Adam when you click on: “Learn more about this artist”.

I can’t help but wonder (well, not really!) if my thoroughly researched (really!) and carefully worded tirade email to them had something to do with it. Smile

The minimal bio describing Adam as a mere “participant” on Idol and that his first CD placed on a few music charts just didn’t cut it for me. Smile

I emailed them as complete an accounting and listing of everything Adam has done/achieved post AI :!: I told them to feel free to use any or all of the information that I’d provided them, LOL (as if they would).

Clicked on Send and off it goes. Wait, though. I, of course, had written it in English. Rolls Eyes Fortunately, my partner’s first language is French and he works as a French translator. It’s fortunate too that he likes Adam very much and so he translated it for me and I re-sent it. (I’m sure that’s just what he felt like doing after a full day at the office … translating! But, he did it.)

Did I think they were going to completely revise their write-up of Adam because I sent them an email? Of course not. But, as I started to mention at the beginning of this, the bio now includes a Link to “Visit the website of Adam Lambert”. Clicking it takes you to AO.

So, that’s an improvement. At least those who haven’t heard of Adam will know that his biggest claim to fame is much more than being a participant in a singing competition. Wink

  28. Kradamour says:

Ron, outstanding!!!! and your partner merits a big thank-you, also! Très très cool!

I wonder if Adam knows just how tenaciously we fight for him? Rolls Eyes
I think he knows part of it, but he would be amazed…

  29. Oksana2000 says:

    Hi!
I just finished reading Richard Rushfield article in New York Post. (If you want to read it, look for link in MJ’s today headlines).
    Then I read comments.
Comments made me sad, because I suddenly realized that Adam with his incredible talent has no chance to became big in US.
I’ve never lived in the “country”. Neither here nor in my homecountry. It was always a big city.My views and opinions are most likely not representative for majority of population, who clearly wants clean cut non-threatening crooner.
Maybe Nigel is right and Scotty will became the biggest selling Idol in US.
    And nowhere else.

  30. milwlovesadam says:

Hi kradam, thanks for your insight on the “Cossacks.” So, Milwaukee is known as being a very ethnic city, ethnic neighborhoods and restaurants, and huge ethnic festivals which draw hundreds of thousands of people here every summer. So what are our largest ethnic groups here? German, Polish and… Serbian. Huge roots here of Serbian folks. Also a lot of Italian, Irish, Russian, Mexican and of late, Thai/Vietnam/Hmong. Throw in the Greek and Jewish contingents, and we have quite a melting pot here!!

    Ron: Respect!! Good job!!

  31. milwlovesadam says:

Oksana, I read that article and scanned the comments. I’m going to hope that those same ignorant posters are like the usual few people who just comment negatively everywhere. I’ll ignore it and them.

Adam is very polarizing. People either love love love him, or don’t get/hate him. Same with Gaga and a few others. To me , it is like art. People either love it or don’t get it. It seems like if art causes people to think or interpret it, it turns them off. If they see a color or image they don’t “agree” with, they just negate it.

This seems to be a very American thing. It saddens me. I do really believe that Adam will be a bigger star overseas ultimately because of this.

  32. Oksana2000 says:

Mils, these people attacked Rushfield for being snob from the big city, who doesn’t know what MOST of the America wants. Average people want average things. Nothing wrong with this. Anything out of ordinary scares them, makes them feel uncomfortable.Nothing wrong with this either.
As you said Adam is very polarizing, and being himself he will never conform.I will be his fan forever beacuse he NEVER bores me.And I get easily bored… Frown

  33. riskylady says:

Oksana, I too read the Rushfield article and the comments, but am not worried. Consider the source (of the comments): The NY Post is a Murdoch paper, conservative, he also owns Fox network where Fox News is also very conservative, thus mostly conservative readers. That theme of the city-dwellers on the East and West Coasts of America being “less” American and having no family values is often brought up.
But, Adam’s US tour really did a pretty thorough path through smaller cities and middle America, in smaller and medium size venues and some festivals, and I thought he was very well-, even surprisingly well-received. In Kansas, they stood up for him against you-know-who. I thought it was a brilliant thing for him to do, so even though they may not be the most vocal and visible to us, I do think there are many fans there.

  34. nkd says:

There will be those outspoken bigoted people, but I think that Adam becoming a big star in the US, will depend on his music. Many people don’t know much about him. They may have heard of him from AI, or know WWFM, but not much else. They are not immersed in Adamness as we are!
He needs a great album with multiple hit songs and people will buy it. 2, 3, 4 million albums sold is huge! Hundreds of millions in the US, just 1% need to buy it! With that comes more national exposure, and who couldn’t love him?!!

  35. glambotgram says:

Waving from small town America here, farming community. I don’t even know the population, local school district enrollment is 1627, K-12.

But I get it, get him and will always love him.

  36. Kradamour says:

nekkid, this time I think your sunny personality is correct. But I think Oksana is correct, also.

Yes, he is polarizing on the two ends. Love or hate. But I think that the vast majority of peeps don’t know / don’t care / never heard of him / forgot about him.

He needs a great album with multiple hit songs and people will buy it.

ITA. I think that the songs on FYE were not very radio-friendly and I was surprised that WWFM did as well as it did. When I finally heard it on the radio here a few weeks ago, it actually didn’t appeal to me in the soup of the music around it, but it isn’t my favorite song on the album anyway.

I also agree that the rest of the world will ultimately be his major fanbase. I live in a very progressive part of the Bible Belt, but it is still the bible belt. Today in a store Kary Perry’s song “I Kissed a Girl” came on and after a few bars the manager changed the station with a look of disgust. I don’t see this changing, nor do I see Adam accommodating it. We may lose him to Finland, if he and Sauli stay together. In Finland he would avoid the worst of the pap issues, and could live a more normal life. And Sauli wouldn’t be the social inferior that he is here, or as he would be perceived by many. Lots of posts on other sites have ridiculed him (and worse) for “living off of Adam”.

BTW, my almost-Adam moment today: I was in a new thrift store today (my addiction) and saw a set of tapes/book to learn Finnish. It looks very, very difficult…and I am something of a linguist. I almost bought it, though…sad, I know. But it would be cool to be able to read the Finnish press about Adam and Sauli!

  37. luval says:

Why can I not find the NY Post article?

  38. jlurksacto says:
  39. turquoisewaters says:

    Bravo, Ron!

  40. luval says:

Thanks, jlurksacto. I never thought to look under the Ai getting old thread…was looking for Adam.
I’m not too worried about him. (and I’m usually Debbi Downer). Much of America wants basic hometown values in their everyday life. But isn’t it funny…Adam is family oriented, monogomous, kind, sweet, intelligent, amazingly talented, respectful, humble, loyal, committed to several charities…what most people want in this life. But the general public doesn’t know this. Of course we know the one thing that prevents people from embracing him.
I think (if he wants to ), he has to get himself out there on more …if I dare say…family oriented shows. The Talk was amazing, but it is a new show, in the middle of the afternoon…not too many peeps watching. Kimmel, Fallon, etc. are great but the majority of people could care less. I’m not really sure what would put him on the map for middle America. I would say he has to be invited to the White House but again…certain groups would not like this very much.
As someone said, his next album really has to have hits on it, I think. And beautiful songs and melodies that have a “hook” and are radio friendly. But we (I) have to be prepared to not necessarily have a hit sophomore album. It could be the one after this.
And Ron….yeah for you!!! And hope your test results were good! oops..just remembered…no results today…a holiday in Canada.

  41. nkd says:

Just one more input from me on this matter. Gaga, Rihanna, Eminem, etc…not family, middle America friendly, but huge stars!

I don’t see Adam compromising his music or it’s integrity to have songs on the radio. We all know that there is a bunch of s*%$ on the air right now, but there are some really great songs getting play also.
I’m trusting in Adam and his great musical taste. Given the time and the incredible collaborations he has had, I’m very excited and optimistic about this new album. I can’t wait to hear some of the new music.
Ste Agathe would actually be great timing for a new single to be tested, or two or three…!

  42. Kradamour says:

Ste Agathe would actually be great timing for a new single to be tested, or two or three…!

From your lips to God’s ears, nekkid!

  43. milwlovesadam says:

Where’s Waldo? Is it Red Carpet time yet? Ooooh. What will he wear? Will Sauli be with him? Or Mombert or Dadbert? Will his hair be anything different? Will Ryan gush and swoon all over him? And, will he wail with James or Steven? Or just sit in his seat all sweet and purty?

Okay. There’s my list of questions for tonight. Now, let the fun begin….mwhahahaha.

  44. nkd says:

For anyone not finding it yet, red carpet coverage from AI.

Do you wanna bet that Adam will be quite late? Why this time should be any different.. Smile

  46. luval says:

I’ve been watching the idol link for about a half hour and all I get is audio…the video is the same couple of people standing around looking for stars!
