Tonight Adam is playing the Sainte Agathe en Feux Festival in Sainte Agathe des Monts, Quebec. Thursday ticket holders went to get numbers to attach to their tickets. The first 1,000 could get the numbers.  The show starts at 9:00pm Eastern, 8:00pm Central, 7:00pm Mountain, and 6:00pm Pacific, except for Arizona which is Pacific time during DST.
I hope the weather is beautiful and since lining up before 5:00 pm is prohibited that all of our friends get to a good vantage point for the concert. Plus they get fireworks after Mr. Hotstuff Lambert finishes his set. What an appropriate end of a concert for Adam!
We have so many members going so come here for all the meet-up, dinner, pre-concert and concert posts.   Plus our very own Suz526 will be taking videos!
And a big THANK YOU to mlg for our St. Agathe poster!
ETA: No Cam tonight. Adam sang a new song “Outlaws of Love” from the album. It’s slow and quiet according to Eywflyer.

jlurk, you made the one thousandth post but you deleted it! Rolls Eyes

  2. nkd says:

and my total fantasy is that the crowd would have started to chant “Pick You UP!” and he would have finally given in!

Do you think he even remembers the words to Pick U Up?
He was having a great time!

  3. jlurksacto says:

    but you deleted it

another Burning Man in the wrong place.

  4. Kradamour says:

Ooooooh, then I was the thousandth post! Smile
Okay, RL must be really tedious for this to make me so happy…

  5. luval says:

kradamour…I’m positive that they would have done more in Paris but wasn’t there a time crunch for the club to close (like many of the other venues)?

  6. Kradamour says:

Hmmm…maybe, luval. He was running late (quelle surprise!) and I am thinking that could be a possibility.
Could have eliminated the lame opening act and made more time for Adam, IMHO.
I loved that there was no opening act for Adam in Ste Agathe. GA is hard enough without adding insult to injury and making us stand through an opener!

  7. luval says:

Went over to the feathers thread at mj’s to look for a post of mine and it’s hilarious! Kradamour…when you start asking the Universe for Adam to play in Quebec…then we are let down because he’s not booked for the big festival. Then page 63, at 6:35pm JOJOSIE posts something about Adam playing at a festival in Quebec on July 29th! And the madness begins.

Nkd posts “got my tickets, now where are we going?”. Ron starts the countdown with 85 days.

If you’ve nothing to do go to the site and take a read. Starts about page 63 or you can go a few pages back and read the first rumors. Memories!

  8. luval says:

Now you are going to think I am losing my mind but was there pyro at Ste. Agathe? The festival was advertised as shows with pyro. Maybe they meant the fireworks after.

  9. Kradamour says:

Yes, luval, the fireworks after were the pyro (but early announcements seemed to indicate some pyro on the stage). Also there was supposed to be a food area with fire-related food (grilled, flambe) but I never saw that and perhaps it never happened.

Thanks for the link to our madness before we found our new playpen sandbox here! Do I have other things to do? Nothing more important than reliving great memories! Off now to do just that!

  10. Oksana2000 says:

luval, thanks for bringing that link to MJ’s thread. Holy moly, 1874 comments!! And the last comment is ablsolutely priceless. Hehehe..
BTW,the person that made that last comment was most likely banned by MJ. Smile

  11. luval says:

Oksana…that last post was put it almost a month after everyone stopped posting. Now that is creepy!

  12. nkd says:

Also, ahem, nekkid, I am not so patiently waiting for the rest of your recap! You’ve taken us up through Chapter 3.3, but left off after OOL. On 8/25, you said that you were working on your recap of the rest of the show, but… where is it?? Bated breath and all…

Now…tap tap tap… where is the rest of that recap of yours??

cwm, can you feel me ignoring you? Wink
I have three lines written. It’s been hard to get back in the right mind to continue, maybe tonight. Smile

  13. cwm says:

Why yes, nekkid, I CAN feel you ignoring me! Wink

  14. nkd says:

I’ve been really busy with work and family, and had a difficult time getting back to the recaps. For what it’s worth, here is the last of Chapter 3, the concert.

    Chapter 3.4
The rockin’ end of the concert!

What is it about this voice that draws us in and saturates our soul? The voice and the passion was the beauty of Outlaws of Love. It was such a privilege to be the first to (publicly) hear an amazing new song. I think that moment will stay with me forever, at least I hope it does!

Now it’s time to crank it up!
Sure Fire Winners! He enters the stage with such confidence, teases with Tommy, and finishes the first verse. Then the tongue, the missile will fire, and playful naughty Adam is back! I love the posing, and he is not holding back on any vocals tonight! Every note is to the extreme.
    Audience participation time. Jump now?!!!
Hey yeah! Hey yeah! Hey YEAH!! That was much higher than I could sing along, but such fun! I adore that laugh!
I had flashes of Freddie Mercury at a Queen concert.
What a great energy boost, as if we needed one!

There he goes, my baby…SEXUAL…! Adam walks towards Tommy, takes his arm and does the corniest imitation of John Wayne ever! Grin Fever has been one of my favorites since the release of FYE, seeing and hearing it performed live again makes me happy happy! Of course live, we get Adam dancing and hip rolling and grabbing and…oh yeah! As he gets to “your mine”, Adam points straight to the back at Sauli. At least that’s how I saw it!
Oh, I love dancing Adam, the tail is waggling, the tongue is out, and there’s a little microphone play! Shock The boy is HAWT!
(Did my daughter really see her mom act like the completely insane fangirl that I am?!! Yup!)

It’s Whole Lotta Love. This is another song that I had not seen performed live. I’m in heaven! Monte teases us with the opening bars of Smoke on the Water, then morphs into WLL.
Now we feel the first raindrops. It feels really good at first ‘cause we’re hot and sweaty! Adam starts with “you need coolin” and points to the falling rain. It’s raining hard now. The wind is kicking up, too. (Dang Adam, it was all of that rain dancing you were doing!)
Adam takes off his vest and throws it to the side, and Monte plays his guitar with his mouth and then lying on his back!?!! This is plugged in WLL!
“The rain gods are telling us the show is over, but we won’t go!”
That was incredible! Adam in a wet tank top and all!

I can barely remember Whataya Want From Me. The rain kept falling, the wind was gusting, umbrellas turning inside out, fumbling for ponchos…we were WET! I’m thinking that this WWFM was to be as spectacular as the one in Moscow, however chaos took away a little of the fabulousness. But we all know that Adam is always fabulous! Maybe someone else has a better memory of this.

He tells us that we are f*ing awesome, and to go get dry in an orderly fashion! Ha! We’re not going anywhere!!! We were not at all sure Adam and the band were coming back out, but we waited. The stage was completely dark, it was still raining, we were so wet, but there was nowhere close by to go get dry, so we stay and hope! This has just been too awesome to leave.

The band returns, the lights are up, and Purple Haze starts. Mr. Hawt struts back on stage! The hair has finally fallen in the rain and wind, now looking like a ruffled cockatoo! I love how Adam performs and plays with this song. The notes he sings are outrageous, but I always want more! He tells us good night again and leaves with kisses and merci beaucoup.
It’s really over now. We gather our belongings and leave the once dusty, but now muddy field. It’s still raining! This was not exactly the ending we had envisioned, unless someone is holding out and snuck the rain in the vision, but it was, the concert of a dream.

  15. nkd says:

    Whew!!!

  16. cwm says:

    Love ya nekkid! Thanks!!

    Now I feel complete. Smile

  17. Kradamour says:

    sigh.
Yes, nekkid, that is exactly how it was….So good. So wet…!
I would love to know what Adam was thinking after the stage went dark and we were still there, waiting, in the wind and downpour. What he was feeling, knowing that we were waiting for him, in spite of discomfort, of cold, of soaking…waiting just for him.

  18. luval says:

nkd…wonderful!!!! Knew you could do it! And kradamour I too would love to know what he was thinking then.

  19. Ron says:

GREAT recap, nkd!! You brought so much of that wonderful evening back to me!

He tells us that we are f*ing awesome, and to go get dry in an orderly fashion! Ha!

Yes, I do think he said “orderly fashion” but I seem to remember that, immediately before or after he said that, he included “in single file”. LOL I think we might still be there if we followed that suggestion. Smile

I’ve learned that if one is going to do recaps it should be as soon after the event as possible. I’m losing some of the finer details. My last recap left off with leaving Montreal for Ste.-Agathe. My memory of arriving there is different than yours nkd. I thought we went to the hotel first and then went to get our numbered tickets. I don’t want to do another recap if I can’t get the facts straight. So, we’ll always be in Montreal … LOL … which took an hour to leave before we found I-15 North. I think jlurksacto must have had a falling out with the talking lady who was telling us how to navigate (I guess she lives in the dashboard) because he stopped listening to her. Smile But, do you think it mattered to me? No. Not in the least. I just kept reveling (that’s a good word for it) in the fact that I was in the same car with jlurksacto, nkd, Calli and ladybugs. When would the five of us ever find ourselves traveling in the same car again? As long as we were together sharing the drive it was all good! I wouldn’t want to change a moment, a single moment, of that 4 day, 3 nights trip.

I suppose I could recap the dinner party. Let me mull over that one for a bit. Wink

  20. Kradamour says:

After the concert, when it was well and truly over, luval and I made our way back to the hotel in the driving rain, walking in the middle of the street because the sides were dark and wet and slick. We were so beyond soaked that the water literally didn’t matter; we were one with the elements and we were still so focused on what we had seen and heard that we were gasping words and impressions and OMGs as we struggled through the rain. Suddenly I realized that there were fireworks! but what we had just seen so eclipsed them that we barely turned to look, except once when the sky was filled with a purple haze – really – of violet colored fireworks made hazy by the rain.

Once in the hotel room, we stripped off our dripping clothes and I put on my kimono and grabbed my laptop, mindful of my obligations to everyone who could not be here! But more than that, I needed to express what I was feeling and I am a writer, and I needed to write – and my fingers hemorrhaged words as fast as I could type them, I couldn’t even pause to read responses to my posts, I just felt a compulsion to write and to post and to write and to post…Ron came to the door to fetch Luval and me to join him and some others at the bar…so tempting!…but right then, I needed to write. So we shared an enormous and wonderful hug, in case we would not see each other again in the morning, and luval and Ron left me to my frantic typing.

Here is an assemblage of those posts that began at exactly midnight, edited and reposted for this end of concert recap:

    Kradamour says:
    07/30/2011 at 12:00 am
I’m back and mostly dried off.
    Best.F*ck.Ever.
I’ve been to 5 glamnation concerts. Tonight made me forget all of them.
It will be the concert that years from now, people still talk about.
The best performance of every song. Ever. And possibly ever to come. It was that good.
Adam owned the stage. And he owned us, and he knew it, but he also knew – and so did we – that we owned him.
He was so delighted to be on that stage – every pore in his body exuded delight. He had missed us. And he was playful and happy and fulfilled on that stage.
And Sauli was in the control booth. He walked right past us on his way there, escorted by a security officer. And tonight, he saw Adam perform the most amazing set of his career so far. And then went home with him. I hesitate to imagine their meeting after the performance, or what they would say to each other. When I start to think about it I stop myself, because tonight will be so special to them that even thinking about it feels like an intrusion.
I am so very, very grateful to have been there with friends, with posters from this site who have become, indeed, friends. It would have been unbearably lonely to leave the concert alone tonight. There is so much to say, to share, to analyze, to love. I am so grateful for our mutual understanding and flailing. Tonight, in the afterglow of the concert, I truly love each of them.
Remember at the beginning of glamnation, how we talked about Adam’s “patter” sounding canned and stilted? That was hard to remember tonight. He held an easy conversation with us. He knew us, knew what to say, and held a conversation as a part of the performance. And every song included instructions to jump, pump, clap…there was a dialog in ways that I have never experienced at any concert with any performer.
As I glanced at the jumbotrons, and the closeup of Adam’s face, I suddenly realized that he has grown up. During Idol, there was a young-ness to Adam. He was 26 going on 20, in some ways. His face and expressions and mannerisms were almost surprisingly smooth and young.
Tonight he was clearly a young man of almost 30. The tour has matured him in some deep and tangible ways, and I cannot wait for the richer and more nuanced music that this maturing performer will create for us.
And finally, because I am exhausted, I will add that Monte and Tommy and Isaac and Adam have become an amazing unit. Their interaction was natural and seamless and comfortable, as multiple parts of one organism. And we were part of that organism, too, partners in the creation of an evening that thousands of people will never, ever forget.

  21. luval says:

Ron…so you haven’t made it to Ste. Agathe yet. LOL!!
When does Adam’s next tour start? You have a little time.

Kradamour…so that’s what you were doing when I left the room! It’s nice and fresh in your mind at that time. Thanks for the great read. Book coming? Smile

  22. nkd says:

Kradamour…that was great! It made me go back and start rereading from the beginning of the thread. This time will not soon be forgotten. It may not all be remembered correctly, but not forgotten! Smile

    Ron says:

I don’t know anymore Ron, I thought we went straight to the ticket booth. Well straight, as in a rather long path to leave Montreal, then at one side of the venue, then the other side of the venue, which included a circle around the town to get there, just to find out that we were on the right side the first time! If that confused anyone, join the crowd!
Then as I recall, we went for lunch, got some Canadian cash, and on to the hotel. Maybe the talking lady in jlurksacto’s dash remembers! Grin
And I wouldn’t change a minute of it either!
I miss you all so much! I’m ready to do it again.

  23. cwm says:

Thanks for the recap of your recap, kradamour. It’s obvious how deeply you were touched that night.

I posted this in the September chat thread, but it seems appropriate to post it here as well, since it’s art based on this show. This is a beautiful piece of fan art, derived from a photo Tuke18 took at the Ste. Agathe show:

    http://twitpic.com/6g0qji

  24. Kradamour says:

thanks for the link, cwm! One of the best fan art pieces I have seen.

recap of my recap…chuckle! I guess it was. Rolls Eyes

I’ve been listening to an Eric Lapointe CD today (he performed the night before Adam) and it really put me mentally and emotionally back into Ste Agathe…his gravelly over-used over-smoked voice is exactly what Adam works hard to avoid (thank goodness!), but it has an amazing power for the songs he performs. “Mon Ange” gets me every time…it was his closing song at the concert. Mmmm.

  25. riskylady says:

nkd, kradamour, ron, what a wonderful surprise to come here and find these posts. Took me right back to that unforgettable night! I so agree with you kradamour, really the one I will remember the most. I do remember the others in special ways: How touched he was to see that huuuuge record crowd that stayed for the concert in the baseball stadium in St. Pete (there are pics of a tear-streak during Soaked) and the only night I saw him at the buses, just a young kid in a baseball cap, so beautiful; The GREAT crowd of almost 6,000 at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, the bus drivers dancing on the stage; and the rapt, entranced audience in London, in that beautiful old theater, with glory notes all over to celebrate the end of the tour.
But this was the first time I was close and could really see Adam’s expressions first hand, get those eyebeams. And the epic new song, then the rain, and the crowd that WOULD NOT GO!!!
Oh, three of my favorite things: The little conversation about the fanfic lolol and how he just laughed it off, so sweet to indulge his fans and not be uptight about it (I don’t read the stuff, but I’m sure Adam knows that a good number do), and Monte playing guitar on his back !And his song-rant to the rain gods. I seem to remember that after he left the stage after WWFM and telling us to go in an orderly fashion, we began chanting his name.
And all the other adventures with all of you, so fun and memorable BECAUSE you were all there.
I would go to another concert in Canada in a flash! Thoroughly enjoyed the country, what little I saw. Can’t wait to see more.

  26. riskylady says:

cwm, gorgeous fan art! Thank you! That’s going on my phone as wallpaper.

  27. Kradamour says:

I would go to another concert in Canada in a flash! Thoroughly enjoyed the country, what little I saw. Can’t wait to see more.

I’m betting that he will play a concert in Quebec again next year – not necessarily Ste Agathe, although perhaps. Not gonna try to visualize it yet, though. Smile

I seem to remember that after he left the stage after WWFM and telling us to go in an orderly fashion, we began chanting his name.

I think you are right, riskylady, but honestly that last part is all a blur. How wonderful it was for Sauli to see/hear that! (If it happened lol!)

  28. riskylady says:

Haha, kradamour, I think we should conserve your visualization skills as much as possible so that when we really need them (as we did for this concert-to-save-us-from-total-fan-meltdown) they will be in full force again. Things should pick up soon with new promo, single, album, etc.

  29. floridagirl says:

Kradamour, I remember reading your original post on the night of the actual concert once I returned to the room I shared with Cher and Margie. I had goose bumps as I read it as I was still on such a total high from the concert. Your words were just so beautiful and descriptive in explaining the evening and I definitely agreed with everything that you said. As I re-read it now, those goose-bumps returned. What an amazing show he put on that night!

I had been to six prior GNT shows and this is the one that I put at the top of my list. The others were all wonderful and definitely worth it but for some reason his confidence and beauty really came through that night. He did own that stage. He was so happy to be there performing for us(and it showed) and I was so happy for him that Sauli was able to witness the love that he was receiving back from all of us. He is truly a special man and he deserved all that and more.

nkd, I am so happy that you finished your recap for cwm. We got to enjoy it as well! Between what you posted and the extra added pieces from the others, I believe that everyone explained the night precisely as it happened (or at least as I remember it – lol). I have some cobwebs up there in my brain now regarding the smaller details so I am very happy that everyone else has a better memory than me! All I can say is that I had a terrific time with all of you there and I cannot wait until the next tour so that we can get together again.

  30. nkd says:

floridagirl, I’m glad I finished the concert recap too! It was great to relive and remember, or what we think we remember. Wink
I am always so tempted to delete everything I write, or continue editing it forever! Never satisfied and somewhat embarrassed.

I love SFW, Fever, WLL…and really really enjoyed them at this concert. Adam was better than great. But, my mind never left OOL through the rest of the show, or for the next few weeks. That song and the special performance of it, were emotional and poignant. It was difficult to get past it to continue the recap. I’m thinking this next album is going to turn me to goo!

  31. Ron says:

nkd, you are a jewel in the crown of this online family! Please don’t ever feel embarrassed about sharing your thoughts! I love reading your comments and I hope, by now, that Mr. nkd kinda sorta knows that I sorta kinda love you too. Wink

  32. nkd says:

@ovationimpact was in Ste Agathe with us. She drove in with cgesq. This came across twitter a few days ago. I liked it!

  33. adamized says:

nkd, thank you for taking us through to the end. I love your memory of the night. It so perfectly brings it all back.

kradamour, it was wonderful to reread your outpourings. Gave me goosebumps all over again.

I am missing everyone. I hate to think we will have to wait until summer for our next reunion. I promised myself I would never attend a jingleball but if Adam goes to one on the east coast, I may need to readjust my thoughts on that matter.

  34. nkd says:

Awww, thank you Ron. I love you too.
I thought I was here alone tonight!
And it is the sharing of my thoughts that’s embarrassing!

  35. nkd says:

What are we all doing awake now?!!

  36. nkd says:

adamized, I don’t think I can make it to a jingleball this year, but it might be tempting. Very tempting. New music and meeting up with friends!

  37. adamized says:

Morning! Went back to bed after my early morning musings. I know the jingleballs fall right in the middle of lots of folks family time and Adam is usually on the stage for no more than 20 minutes and there are lots of screaming kids, but…..

  38. Kradamour says:

I am always so tempted to delete everything I write, or continue editing it forever! Never satisfied and somewhat embarrassed.

    nekkid
, cherie, you have described the virgo curse. And blessing. Embrace the compulsions, they are what make us who we are! Smile

  39. luval says:

Love to see everyone still posting on this thread. I can’t get this concert out of my mind. I still watch the video’s, fondle my foxtail Smile and relive every moment with all you wonderful people.

And nkd, the same thing happened to me at the concert. After OoL I couldn’t concentrate on anything else!

And another thing, like the first GN show and others, I really never noticed the background lights, etc until I watched the videos. I could not stop looking at Adam’s face and other parts. And the medges…after seeing and hearing discussions about them for several pages here and there finally seeing them in person was a thrill! I’m nuts.

    Riskylady,
    Great post-cap!!
Are you serious when you write that Cher had cancelled the reservation?? If you only knew how many times Ovation Impact and I said to ourselves when we were driving the hour plus convoluted path to find this God-forsaken hotel “to hell with it, we will just grab the first hotel we find”….but then we said that Cher had paid for the room, and everybody was expecting us!!!
In the long run, I’m glad we found all of you. It was a great last night together.
Hope we get to do it all again SOON!!!!!!!!

Nope. Hadn’t cancelled it. It was already prepaid from Miami. When we checked in though, the lady asked for you and Suz because you both had rooms already paid for. I told her Suz wasn’t coming for sure and didn’t think you might be. So when you said you were coming, I just called ahead to make sure someone was there to get you a key since it wasn’t a traditional hotel and it was early am. She would have given me the key earlier in the day if I had known for sure you were staying overnight. Nice lady. She allowed riskylady and myself to keep our room until 3pm that last day since we had 5pm flights.

  41. cher says:

I could add something to that story of us trying to find the Montreal parking lot where our cars were. The firemen I went up to ask about other parking lots when we couldn’t find our cars said “Oh, must be women.” Hmmm. Kinda sexist, except I didn’t see jlurksacto taking a share of the blame right then. hahaha.
At the second lot we saw across the street, I decided to be smart and use the remote alarm from my rental car to point across and see if my car lights lit up when I pressed the remote. Well, a pair of car lights did flash when I did that and I said “yeah!! found them!” Except that when we started to cross the road to the parking lot, two people appeared and got into the said car and drove off. We cracked up. What timing that they had pressed their remote control at the same time as me, but it was their car. So we had to keep looking and we did find the cars at the third lot. Poor Suz was literally dropping on her feet after being up until 6am that morning after St. Agathe, had had only a few hours sleep and it was now well after midnight on Sunday morning.

  45. Seeing as how I just joined this website I thought I would go ahead and give my little recap of the show.

In the eyes of a first time Adam-concert goer!

First off I wanna talk about the trip to get there because it was one heck of a journey. First flying from Chicago to Toronto, first time on a plane and going anywhere on my own without my mom or dad, I was a little afraid at first, but once I got in the air and to Toronto my emotions started to calm down. Got into Toronto airport at about 10:30-11ish on Wednesday morning before the show. Waiting three hours, talking to my mom and brother, posting on facebook so my coworkers knew I was at work, I finally got my airporter to take me to a fellow glambert’s house whom I was staying with. First time we met also! We hung out the rest of the day and went to bed early because we had an early start.

Thursday was an adventure, we had a 10 hour bus trip ahead of us! We got on our first bus no problem. But the problems arose when we got off at the wrong stop! We had to trek and take a cab to make it to the right bus station and to our bus…with 5 minutes to spare! Then we got on our next bus a 5 hour ride from Toronto to Ottawa! Everything was going fine, or so we thought. We needed to be in Montreal before 6 to pick up our car rental. Checking the time, it was 2:45 and we were still about 60 km from Ottawa and our other bus had already left! We had gotten to Ottawa at about 3:00 got on a bus at about 3:30. Maybe we could make it! We kept checking our phones for the time, praying we would make it on time. Well, we weren’t that lucky our bus pulled into the Montreal bus stop at 6:05p.m. So we had to take a cab from Montreal to our hotel in Ste. Adele. Well we thought, maybe we would go to Ste. Agathe first to get our ticket numbers then go back to the hotel…well half way there we decided that we would just go to the hotel. Well our cab driver completely went passed the exit for our hotel and had to turn around because he didn’t speak English very well and neither one of us spoke French!

Finally getting to our hotel, calling my parents to tell them I was safe and at the hotel, we got a good night’s rest. Waking up at about 9 am, I popped my head up off the pillow and screamed “ADAM DAY!!!!”

We went out for a little breakfast, got some money for the cab ride to Ste. Agathe and for the concert! Came back to the hotel and got ready and then left.

    (continued in next post)

  46. The cab dropped us off, and we were in Glambert heaven. Walking down the streets, there were glamberts everywhere, yelling at us and hugging us and everything else. I had never felt more accepted in my life.

Well we finally got our ticket numbers (after a little detour) and were waiting in line. I met so many people in that line that I can truly call my friends!!! They introduced themselves and I introduced myself and it was like instant friends. Adam’s fans are really like a family!

After getting lined up to go into the concert, we had to wait a little longer. But wait, what is that I hear. It’s Adam soundchecking WWFM. My heart started pounding. I couldn’t believe that I was actually hearing him sing the song I have lyrics tattooed on my arm live! I couldn’t wait to actually see him!

After getting my purse checked, (and after some wonderful tips for seats from Glamberts) I ran as fast as I could in flip flops up the hill into the concert grounds. There were only about eight to ten rows of ppl in front of us and we were right by, what is now deemed “Sauli’s walkway” I couldn’t believe we got such good spots!

Waiting for the concert to begin, I was dancing with the DJ, singing along to the songs, and telling my first time story to many people include nkd, Kradamour, Ceddies, Ron and others here on this site.

It was getting close to time for Adam to come on stage, then all of a sudden I see security guards heading towards us. I looked and HOLY COW! Sauli was RIGHT THERE next to me. I was just baffled. He even smiled at me Smile

Then they introduced Adam. Isaac, Monte, and Tommy came on stage and started playing FYE. OMG! I couldn’t control myself I was screaming my head off!!! Then out walks Adam, looking gorgeous, and I just remember thinking, Holy crap Adam Lambert is RIGHT THERE, and I am actually witnessing this, somebody pinch me. Singing along with every word, I couldn’t contain myself.

Next was Down the Rabbit Hole! Seeing Adam own the stage in person is just breath taking. Now here comes the almost awkward part, will there be Adommy moments. To my surprise he backed off a little but not as much as I thought he would. I love the friendship between those two!

Now on to my favorite song, Strut. Seeing him strut his stuff on stage in those wonderful Medges, it was like a dream come true. I couldn’t believe I was hearing these songs I’ve listened to in my car, on Youtube, and on the GNL DVD live. His vocals are nothing short of amazing live! And the banter before the songs, I loved it!

Skip a few songs, talking about his duster Wink, and singing Aftermath we come to Sleepwalker. I love this song, but while he was singing it, it seemed as though he pointed right at me at one point. I’m not gonna lie I flailed! haha

    (to be continued)

glamberthaf28, thanks for posting your wonderful recap! I wanted to mention that we have a special thread called “Glambert & Recap Thread” which is for registered site members only and would be a great spot to also post your recap. I started that thread in response to suggestions that it would be great to have a single spot to read everyone’s experiences. If you would like to post your recaps in the Glambert/Recap thread too, please feel free!

  48. If I Had You was next, and of course we all had to jump during the chorus, it’s like a tradition now!

Band Intro, twink fairies, and fan fiction. I have never laughed so hard in my life or been a little embarrassed to be a fan fic writer. When he talked about fan fiction, I was like UH OH I’M CAUGHT! But being the good sport he is, he just laughed it off and that was that. I love him for that, so easy going and lovable!

Then Outlaws of Love. Now beforehand, I was telling the girl I went to the concert with, How cool would it be if he debuted something from the new album in Ste. Agathe? she said it would never happen. WELL IT DID! OMG this song is so beautifully written and sung. Just so much emotion put into the song and was written all over his face, I was almost in tears! Simply gorgeous!

Then the band interlude. Tommy comes out without his jacket on and there are his TATS!!! I’m fascinated by his tattoos. I love them so much, I wish he would show them more often. And I’m a sucker for a guy with tattoos, and they just make him that much hotter!!!

Adam then comes strutting back on stage for Sure Fire Winners. Waiting for a lyric fail here, but nope Adam’s on his game for this song! After he finishes, we hear “tell me tell me tell me” and has an impromptu version of copy cat! Hey YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fever is next! Another one of my favorites! When he walks over to Tommy, I wonder what he is going to do. Then he leans down and starts talking to John Wayne!!! Classic Adam, always surprising us! And Tommy’s WTF look he gives Adam for a second, hilarious! Then during the end of the song, Adam gives us a little impromptu dance! one word HOT!!! I think I literally melted into a puddle of goo during that. That man can go from sweet and playful to sex god with just a snap of the fingers!

Whole Lotta Love is next! Adam comes to the front of the stage, raises his hands, AND….DOWN POUR RAIN!!!! Memorable concert moment. All of us getting drenched on while he is singing, and telling us that even though it’s raining he aint going!!! That’s dedication right there.

Whatya want from me being sung to the sky, perfect. “It messed me up, need a second to dry” probably my favorite new line of the song. Then After the song him telling us that we F’n rock! Come Hell or High Water!!! and then telling us to go get dry but in an orderly fashion HA we weren’t going anywhere, we knew there was an encore coming. Chanting ADAM, ADAM, ADAM, ADAM, we hear Monte’s guitar start up again.

Last song of the night was Purple Haze! Perfect ending! Adam sauntering along the stage, in his tank top sticking to his skin…I don’t know how many more times I can say HOT! lol! then afterwards, FIREWORKS!!! And yes Adam they are for you Wink

All in all it was one of the most memorable nights of my life and I will never forget it! I will also never forget the wonderful people I met at Ste. Agathe, hope we can meet up again. So there is my concert review, through an “Adam virgin” well Adam virgin NO MORE!!!

    <3

  49. eywflyer thanks! I’ll have to do that maybe tomorrow, gotta go to bed so I’m rested for work tomorrow but thanks!!!

Oh My Gee, glamberthaf28, what a fantastic recap. Again, I was right there with you and everyone. Thank you so much for this remembrance. I’m all smiles as I head off to bed. I’m sure I can’t come up with anything so exciting to read, but that won’t stop me from telling my story–when the Other Real Life lets go of my throat. Good night.
