Yeah, exactly!!!
I put on some vids from the concert for inspiration, but I’m just getting distracted!
Watching that tail waggle around is just too much! Or just enough!
Chapter 2
I had decided to dress up just a bit for the big dinner at the SpaWatel. I was ready to go downstairs, I asked Calli if she wanted to go. She told me to let her know when to come for dinner because she didn’t want to cramp my style! Whaaat? Mom has a style?!!
I get to the terrace but no one was there except for eywflyer. I had met him earlier while we were hanging out chatting. I sit at the table with him and soon some others join us out on the terrace. Again, I look toward the parking lot and spot another woman walking towards the entrance. This time I recognize her. We had talked a few times on the phone, texted and emailed quite a bit, and had a skype conversation. I knew her! It was my Virgo sister, Kradamour. I jumped up from the table and rushed to the steps to greet her. She looked a little puzzled, as if she didn’t recognize me, so I lifted my sunglasses, which I had forgotten I was wearing, and she responds with a “Nekkid”! We embraced in a tight hug. It’s been a long time coming, and I like to hug! Again, I can’t believe this is really happening!
As the others decide to take the party inside, it was hot, Kradamour and I sit for a few minutes to talk. She was beautiful, but looked exhausted, so many troubles on the road. I can’t remember what we talked about, it was just great being there with her. We had started discussing this in February, wishing it to happen. And now, here we are!
For me, this was the core of this trip. I’m getting to meet these people with whom I have spent so much time, lost so much sleep, laughed until I cried, and shared the love of Adam. We’ve had really really deep discussions about the eyes, the smile, the hair, the hips, the wardrobe, the pants, the boots, various other body parts, and the voice that captivated us all!! It was an incredible feeling to put faces to the names, real names to the screen names, voices to the words, flesh in the hugs, and glistening eyes to the smiles!
I’ve decided that this is how people should meet. You learn to love someone before any prejudices from appearance, etc. can interfere with the bonds that are formed. It’s wonderful! (Maybe not for dating!)
BTW, I’m not forgetting about those that were unable to make this trip, I’m longing to meet all of you also! We will make it happen!
Kradamour decided to try to get in a nap before dinner. I went into the dining room to join the others. Oh! What’s this? Everyone is seated and ordering dinner. Woops, I better call Kradamour and Calli to come to dinner! Wow! All of these amazing people have joined together for a dinner in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec, Canada!
The Toronto group is here. Northern Spirit, TLKC, milkywayfairy, and kdd43. Soon AKE and Stephan arrive. This is an incredible group of intelligent and extremely friendly people. I love them!
It’s funny as you meet people that have only known you as your online self, and vice versa.
“Hi, I’m N_____, nkd.” “Oh, nekkid!” “So you just decided to call yourself nekkid?” “No. It was given to me!” Glad we cleared that up!
TLKC, thank you for the fabulous conversation, and for including my daughter in it. She really liked you!
(This dinner was overwhelming for me. I know that I’m going to forget to mention someone.)
Soon, Ron made his grand appearance, he’s on Adam time! Kradamour and Calli made it to the table, and in came these two beautiful women. I recognized Ceddies from her previous avi pic, and that has to be adamized with her. I wanted to get up to greet them, but a course of the dinner was being served, I was seated against a wall, and it just seemed best to let them take their seats and save this meeting for a little later. I loved meeting them, and later spending time together on the blanket!
At some point, cher brought the lovely suz526 to our table and introduced us. She asked to meet me?!! That was such an honor! I’m in awe of this very talented and devoted woman. I have spent many wee morning hours watching her vids since the days of the AI8 tour. Accompanying suz in Ste Agathe was tchrsd. We had met previously on the terrace.
Also sharing our table were jlurksacto, cgesq, ovationimpact, and a couple of others whose names are escaping me. (Sorry!)
This dinner has been discussed by several, so I’ll leave it saying that I’m so glad I was there!
The food was marvelous and the company was divine!
After dinner the group began to disperse, many heading to the concert grounds. Kradamour had told me earlier that she thought she would skip going to see Eric Lapointe in lieu of some sleep. I knew that she wanted to go, so I nudged her a little by offering to go with her. I’m glad we had that very special time together. I will never forget it.
Eric Lapointe, Jonas and the other blonde dude were AWESOME! I loved it. They’re singing in French! What’s this, Highway to Hell? Hell, I know this one! That was fun! We scoped out the grounds and found a great spot for tomorrow’s concert.
Oh yeah, Adam is going to be there!!!! Squeeeee!!!!!
And yes, on our walk back to the hotel, there were amazing fireworks. I’m glad that we were able to take them in on this night, because the next night, the fireworks were secondary to all else.
Did I mention the walk to the venue was uphill both ways?! Breathe nkd, breathe! Not so easy!
Nekkid, this is amazing. I loved reading your recap and yes, it was exactly like that! I was so confused by the lady in the sunglasses who seemed to know me and so delighted when it turned out to be YOU! and that was an awesome hug – and yes, going to the LaPointe concert with you and seeing the fireworks is an evening I will always remember, I am so glad that you encouraged me to go, we just seemed to be so much in tune with each other, as though we had known each other for years. Must be cos we are virgo sisters!
But cherie, I think that the laws of physics and geology apply, even in Ste Agathe, and the venue was not uphill both ways. Just saying.
And nice to know that it was you who called me to come to dinner – I was so tired, I couldn’t remember who it was – if I ever knew! and I definitely would have missed dinner otherwise. Merci!
Beautifully said, nkd.
Excuse me, but the hotel was up a hill, the venue was up a hill. There was a downhill in between, but, uphill both ways!
That’s my story and I’m stickin to it!
Nkd,
Thanks for posting your recaps. They really are fun to read. It’s interesting to read about events from everybody’s (slightly) different perspective.
And, for the record, I was there and I completely agree with your “uphill both ways” characterization!!!
Uphill at both ends, about a mile in between! It seemed a fairly easy walk to get there, but an endless walk to get back afterwards!! Great fireworks. Very very impressed with that little town’s display!
Keep going nekkid! You’re on a roll! I’m blank at the moment.
Short term memory loss.
Thanks all for the reminiscences of Ste Agathe. Have been unable to find the time to discuss in length or even think in depth due to arriving back home in Florida and having family from France for the month (3 grandkids and daughter & son in law!)and a revolving door of additional family and friends. 3 arriving today for 6 days and 1 leaving tomorrow after 5 days and a friend without a place to stay but with a new job wit us for 6 weeks. I have made myself manage to keep up with you here and on the Aug. chat. It’s keeping me sane! Loved meeting those I did but sad to have missed so many at the other table. Next time?
Cher-thanks for the walk down memory lane of the Florida concerts last year and for me they were after driving to Atlanta because we never could figure out if/when Adam was coming to FLorida except for Tampa Baseball game. How crazy was that haphazard scheduling? The duke thought I was nuts but happily took me everywhere. And that was after flying to Atlantic City after being unable to get tickets for Foxwoods and NYC. What it means to be a “groupie” (as the friends and family call it), I guess
Hi Peeps! I am back in town from my family vacation. As I have mentioned a few times, I have Kradamour’s enthusiasm to thank for making me to retrace my steps (and hours of driving) for a second trip to Quebec within two weeks. This time I stayed in Quebec City. Very beautiful with lots of shops and restaurants and tons and tons of inclines/steps. We must have walked 10 miles a day which was a blessing since we ate almost continuously. Gastronomic highlights (CHER – this is for you) included poutine (not hcp) and something called a beaver’s tail. We had poutine twice. First time was from a little snack stand on the Ile d’Orleans. My brother-in-law is a vegetarian so he was nervous about the brown gravy. The lady serving was kind enough to go get the gravy powder box and let him peruse the ingredients. Yep, no animal products so fine for him. Second experience was from a restaurant called Chez Victor’s. This is a place know for its hamburgers. Not worth it at all. Poutine was good though. The beaver tail is something everyone should try. It is an oval shaped warm pastry with a tiny bit of crunch that you can cover with different sweet sauces or candy. I only found one ice cream shop in QC that sold them but they were fantastic. My niece got her’s covered with chocolate and my nephew got his with chocolate and reese’s pieces. YUM!
Bit of a recap from St Agathe –
Of course other than the location the trips couldn’t have been more different. Both were wonderful in their own way but it would be almost impossible to beat the magical time we experienced in St Agathe. I am so grateful that I got to meet you all and witness Adam’s happiness and continued growth as a performer.
I love reading everybody’s recaps and hearing the back stories. Please keep them coming! Kradamour has eloquently captured our travel travails as well as how comforting it was to arrive at Luval’s house after our long day so I have little to add other than a few items which have stuck with me from our road trip. The TV show playing during our wait in Shrewsbury- the making and distribution of medical marijuana; the incredible view of 1000 islands from the bridge crossing some river; and the magical lights of Newark as we headed South on 95. Kradamour also introduced me to my first senior discount at the IHOP in NJ.
Ceddies and I stayed in a lovely small hotel about 1/4 mile down from Spa Watel and therefore a bit closer to the concert venue. We immediately saw cgesq when we arrived in our hotel. It was so nice to know that we had other glamily members with us. Our room was on the top floor (no elevators) and very lovely. The room felt like a cottage in the wood’s with its white painted wood floors, a window seat overlooking the lake, and our own private balcony surrounded by pine trees.
Nkd, the hills were something to be remembered. We had a steep incline coming down from our hotel and another steep incline going up to the concert venue. Luckily Ceddies had remembered to bring a flashlight or we could have suffered some sprains and bruises.
After a brief respite in our room, Ceddies and I changed for dinner and walked over to the Spa Watel. We ran into some of Ron’s friends on the way and encouraged them to stop on over to say hi to folks at the dinner. There were two seats left for us at the table next to NS, MWF, and kdd43. They were all so welcoming and funny. Floridagirl came by and introduced herself. What a hoot! Everyone was so happy to be together and excited about the days to come. Food was served; door prizes given out: purple glow sticks and fans distributed….and it was time to leave. It took Ceddies and me a bit of time to get changed and head back out for the concert. We were so late that by the time we got there no one was all that interested in looking at our tickets. We ran into Cher who was all gaga over one of the previous singers and ended up only catching about 30 minutes of the music before walking back to our hotel and waiting for the fireworks. As others have mentioned they were spectacular.
Ceddies and I walked to town the next day thinking we may find some gifts. We saw lots of glamberts of all ages and shapes. I’m always happy when I see younger glamberts and there were plenty of them. After a few hours we wanted lunch and ended up picking an Italian/Chinese restaurant. We each ordered the birds nest. Crunchy noodles holding a Chinese stir fry. Very good.
We stopped by the concert venue on our way back from town hoping to hear sound check. NS was there and told us that MWF and kdd43 were up in the woods hoping to see sound check. I had a small moment of indecision as to whether I wanted to try and find them. My fear of poison ivy got the better of me and I stayed put. We chatted with NS for a bit and then headed back to the hotel. It was only about 45 minutes until we had to be back at the venue and we were tuckered out. Neither of us was sure that we had the energy to do the walk again and spend 4 hours on our feet waiting for Adam. We gave each other pep talks, packed our rain gear, and headed out.
Once we arrived at the venue we saw luval and Kradamour. The sun came out in full force. Of course we had all planned for rain so sunglasses were nowhere to be found and we were all slightly overdressed. I ended up using my umbrella for shade which helped a bit. We went into the venue to the spot scouted out by Kradamour and nkd and started the wait for Adam. As Ron predicted the time flew by. We had our time on Ceddie’s blanket stretching our legs and gabbing. I loved getting to know nkd and Ron during the wait and thanked my lucky stars that Ceddies had the foresight to pack the ground cover.
The concert was everything I had hoped for. Seeing Adam so happy and excited to be there with us (and with Sauli) made me want to cry. I loved hearing Ron behind me giving shouts of praise and Kradamour in front of me just beaming throughout. The rain dampened nobody’s enthusiasm and made it even more of a memory.
I walked as slowly as possible back to the hotel not wanting the evening to end.
Thank you all for your kind words. I am very intimidated writing these recaps following all of the others.
cher, it does help to start writing. The memories start to come back little by little! Still, so much seems a blur to me.
Welcome back adamized! That was a lovely recap. I did enjoy the blanket time. It was special!
double post
Adamized, welcome back! I loved your recap, so great to put together all the pieces of each participant to make one big tapestry!
Yes, that was the TV show, the medical marijuana, and it was so funny that the desk clerk apologized that it was on, said he just didn’t change the channel and he hoped we wouldn’t be offended. but that was nice of him to be considerate, not knowing us or how we would react. You were such a wonderful travel companion!
Hey adamized, good to see you back. At least you got some real poutine in QC! Littledutchess, your turn to start writing..
Nekkid, I’ll try my best to do some more recaps later, but half-Zheimers’ is my current affliction. Ron, don’t worry! I was just kidding about doing a page recap on our group diva!! Since you let me have a taste of your liver dinner, I’ll give you a pass this time. You know I’m easy to bribe using food.
BTW off with RL girlfriends tonight for a price fixed dinner special at a Portuguese restaurant nearby. A couple of them are very wary of my choices sometimes. They need to get out of their food comfort zones. If you don’t hear from me again, that means they were upset with my choice and did away with me.
Before I spend couple of hours reading your recaps (for which I’m eternally grateful) I have to say that whoever went to St.Agathe really struck gold. I did’t realized how beautiful lightning of the stage was until I saw vids by foxyrenard.
And I have never ever seen Adam smiling so much (yes, even on that S/M piece that FYE is). Oh, how validated he must’ve felt seeing such a big and enthusiastic crowd!
On on another more somber note, after seeing 2 stage colapses (Indiana and Belgium) and finding out from your recaps how windy it was I’m happy that the worst thing that happened to you was getting soaked…
And this blog breathes a collective sigh of relief!
Diva?!?? and, according to nkd, I made a grand entrance? This isn’t accurate. You’re both referring to the outfit. My clothes walked into the dining room … I just happened to be in them.
Oksana2000…We were extremely lucky at Ste. Agathe…With 2 songs to go the rain/wind storm came out of nowhere. It was unbelievable.
We are very fortunate that there was not an incident at the Quebec show – the winds were really howling through that venue during the thunderstorm. I was shocked at the time that the show was allowed to continue in those weather conditions.
I have noticed the posts from Kradamour calling for a dedicated “how I become a Glambert” and/or meeting/recap thread. I do want to keep this site as simple as possible to use and not have info spread across many different posts (such as occurs on the ALF site or on AO), but could see a need for a permanent home for these sorts of posts. What do you guys think – would you rather keep the how I became a Glambert and first meeting/first concert type posts in the monthly chat threads or the applicable concert thread, or would you rather see these go into a separate thread?
Added a few more good videos from foxyrenard on youtube to the links above.
Love the name foxyrenard! (“renard” is “fox” in French.)
Y’know, during the storm in Ste Agathe, I was thinking hard about all the massive electrical wiring that was running literally at my feet along the aisle to the sound booth. (But note that I did not move lol)
And the wind was amazing! Peeps’ umbrellas were even flying open…loved that Adam did.not.care and did.not.want.to.leave and we stayed to be his audience!
I thought about the storm at Ste Agathe as these reports of stage collapses were reported. It’s scary. We were really lucky.
.
nekkid, what happened to your first part of the concert recap? I read it, refreshed the page, and…DOT!
kradamour, I wasn’t happy with it in the light of the morning! I will work on it, and post it later.
Mystery resolved. I can go to sleep now.
G’nite, nekkid!

Chapter 3
Friday, Concert Day
We had a lovely breakfast with the group on the terrace. What are we doing today?
Sadly Kradamour has to deal with car repair issues, but luval has decided to go into town and my daughter and I tag along. I’m really not sure what we were looking for, but…we didn’t find it!
I was happy to have this time with luval mainly exploring Ste Agathe! I didn’t care what we were doing, I was so happy to be there! We did find the souvenir stand and bought a few goodies! There was the traffic circle, we didn’t find Walmart, Subway line was too long, and the Glamberts are taking over this small town! Being in the company of someone I consider a friend is time to be treasured. Tomorrow, the time will be gone.
But today, we have an ADAM CONCERT and I will be sharing it with friends! New friends, that feel like old friends.
We make our way back up the hill to the waiting area. Just a little wait time before Adam! No complaints here! I do wonder what the neighbors of the concert venue thought about it all!
We are let into the venue and we stake our claim on our spots to view the show.
I spread one of my rain ponchos on the ground for Calli and myself to sit on. (I carried these ponchos with me, it’s good to get some use of them! )
Thank you Ceddies for bringing your blanket, it sure made the wait time more comfortable. Ron, Ceddies, adamized and I had some great bonding time on that blanket! It was amazing being able to look around and see the members of our group dispersed in one general area.
Almost concert time. Sauli? Where? I got a brief glimpse of his profile and the back of his head as he walked right by us! I would love to have seen those eyes.
It must be soon now! The concert emcee takes the stage, says some stuff in French…..Adam Lambert…….Adam Lambert is in the house, or something to that effect!
The Concert
Tommy… Isaac…Monte! Here we go! It’s time! I can’t believe I’m here!
My daughter is on one side, Kradamour on the other. Luval is in front of me, Ceddies, adamized and Ron behind me. Eywflyer and jlurksacto are in front to the left. This is almost perfection!
The first beats of FYE start and there he is! Mr. Gorgeous! The hair is like flames, so high, straight up on his head! Gawd he is so fierce tonight! And so happy! His happiness with life, to be performing, just radiates from the stage. I am so happy!
FYE live. It’s my first time! It’s awwwesoooome! Can I handle what you’re bout to do? I don’t know, I think so…there goes that tail! Oh yeah!
And then that smile! Ahhhhh!
DTRH starts. He’s shaking the tail! I’m gonna lose it over this tail, not to mention his kaleidoscope!
I love this song! The energy is incredible! He is on fire! Come on follow, come on and follow me! And we do.
This is my favorite performance of Strut ever! ever! ever!
Knowing that he loves this song, I look back at Ron. He’s into it!
Show me what you’re workin with! He’s werkin that tail! Um hmm!
Adam that is, I’m not sure what Ron was doing!
Twentieth Century Boy. How adorable is this man?!!! He’s all into this song and the notes and the dancing, and then he breaks into a laugh! I love him!!! He sits on the edge of the stage, dusting!
He’s dripping a little sweat, he’s sooo hot!
These first four songs are hard hitting and fierce. He’s rockin it and we’re loving it!
I am such a fangirl!
I will try to continue as soon as I can remember it all!
nekkid, I am loving this! Yes, it was just like that! and so much fun to remember again tonight, it is raining here and my muddy shoes are still by my desk
Ah, the duster…and the kaleidoscope, too funny!
I am waiting for the part where you grab my shoulder and we beam at each other for a minute because it is just so fricking good to be there together and so hard to believe that we actually are! But I’ll be patient and wait for the rest of the story as long as you hurry!
Kradamour, when was I not grabbing your shoulder or arm? I was wanting to touch you and luval, and anyone else in arm’s length just to validate being there and having this experience with you all!
It’s raining there tonight? Why don’t you go stand in the rain and really relive it?!!!
nekkid, thanks for the continuing recap. I come back to this site every day to look for more, and I loved this one. You captured both how Adam’s passion hit you and how you needed to share the love with the people you were with. I remember that from my 2 GNT shows and this must have been tenfold (although I can’t imagine being more excited than I was to see him live when I did. lol).
Please, keep the recaps coming.
nkd…I check here all the time to see if there are any recaps. You (and all of you, really) recapture exactly the experience as it happened. I think this will go down as the most memorable concert ever ever!!! I cannot wait until we all meet and do this all over again!!!!!
Me too!!!
I’m just trying to do my part. I’ve never done recaps before, with the exception of the laundry recap!
And I’m no goatiegarten!
This is helping me remember that time that has become such a blur, and I want to remember every second of it!
Thank you all for such nice comments and the encouragement to continue.
Chapter 3.2
The Concert continued…
There is a stool on the stage. Um, but first we must waggle the tail a little more, this time with tongue action! OOooohhhhhh! I adore his humor!
Adam sits on the stool, things are slowing down a bit. He talks with us about the meaning of this song, of course leaving out the part about not finding love in a bar. The ironic evidence to the contrary is sitting in the control booth! This dialogue is genuine and easy.
“Have you lost your way”
Aftermath. The voice is soothing and intoxicating. The crowd sings along.
“You are not alone” looks at Monte, laughs, stands up, and another beautiful “you are not alone”.
Blows a kiss to ???? I’m pretty sure it was to me! Then, there’s that beautiful smile, that we see so much tonight.
“And then sometimes when you find that love you’ve been looking for…”
What a beautiful entrance into Sleepwalker. This has to be where I put my hand on Kradamour’s shoulder, knowing the awesomeness that was to come! We looked at each other with great expectations and Adam did not disappoint!
I am beyond words with this one. WOW!
Those runs! WOW! “With my eyes wide shut uh uh uhh because of you”. What was that?!
Fierce! I LOVE the live performances of this song! Absolutely jawdropping!
I think mils may be right, he’s still wearing the coat!
What an awesome night! Can it get any better?
Ohh, but it does get betterer! To be continued…
sigh
dot
Ron?
Nkd,
Thanks for the great recaps. I can’t believe that more than 3 weeks after the concert, I am still checking back to this thread to relive the moment and for more tidbits I might have forgotten. Pretty pathetic, huh??
Hi, cgesq! you are not alone…and we are NOT pathetic!
cgesq Now that many of us have met I find myself even more drawn to this blog. I’m hopeful that we get more recaps. If not, the August thread is going strong.
Nkd, Kradamour …you have more to say, right????
And I still have notes jotted down to write about. I’m trying. (Just not hard enough, huh?)
adamized…yes I’m pretty sure nkd and kradamour are not done. They can’t leave us hanging. We know where to find them.
And Ceddies, keep jotting because you will be able to put in all together…I just know it!
cgesq…I think about that show all the time. It will live down in Adam tour history as one of the most amazing live shows of all time.
Will keep checking back, everyone!!
I’m pretty sure that I wasn’t the only one at this concert!
I’m not finished, but I’d like to read some other views also!
Please, please!
Okay, son is off to college, I have taken care of the immediate loose ends, and I am ready to resume whatever chapter I left. Nice to know that peeps are still interested!
Next chapter coming up tomorrow: The concert!
Nekkid‘s recap has reminded me of a lot of things that I had forgotten and this makes me realize that I need to write while memories are still fresh (or at least retrievable!).
Is it possible that the concert was not even four weeks ago?!?!
Yeah, a nice treat to look forward to soon.
Ceddies, please keep jotting down and then summing up!
I give up! I’m not following that!
Nonsense, nekkid! I am following you!
Chapter 3.3
The drum beats begin! If I Had You. For me, this song has embodied the joy that was in a Glam Nation concert. Tonight was different. Not bad, just different. Perhaps it was merely the placement of the song in the set.
Adam definitely let loose on the vocals in this and it was all great, but I mainly remember jumping! Jumping at the beginning, “c’mon”, jump some more! These legs only have so much jump in them! That was a workout! But I love it! Who threw the underwear on the stage?!!! Men’s thongs!
I love Music Again! Besides loving the throwback rock feel of this song, this is exactly how I felt during AI8 and the tour that followed. That summer was a reawakening for me as a music lover. I knew the music was out there, I just wasn’t interested in a lot of it. When the song title showed up on his album, it was as if he were clairvoyant! Is he?!!!
So…back to the concert!
“I want your body, mind, soul, etcetera, and one day you’ll see, you should give it to me.”
Yeah, you have it!
This rocks so much betterer in black leather, than in blue sparkles!
Eyes baby eyes. I wanna hear you sing that part sweetie, not the Glambert chorus!
He picks up the thong. Now, do you suppose he saved those undies so he could toss them at “my raison d’etre”?
He laughs and looks at Monte. Monte always seems so unaffected by the shenanigans. Have you ever wondered, what is he thinking?!!
Adam’s eyes are so expressive.
You better be clapping! Yes master!
Jump! Oh really? Again?!!! So, I do some toe push-ups!
He hams it up a bit for the camera. What a surprise!!!
The little moth that was a fairy! That’s a twink!
I’ve never seen a moth like that either.
Adam introduces the band and the pretty kitty, and he laughs about the inappropriateness of the fanfiction! “I’m offended”, and he waves that comment away with an amazing smile. He is really happy this night.
Mad World. I can see the blue of his eyes. They are gorgeous.
The vocals are beautiful! It’s all about the voice, right?!!
I’m still haunted over three weeks after hearing it for the first time. I’ve probably listened to it hundreds of times. I decided to repost my original recap of this, as those were the freshest feelings after Sainte Agathe. I can’t believe that we heard a new song performed for the first time ever! As I listen to it, tears still pool in my eyes. Outlaws of Love.
Adam takes a seat on the stool and informs us that he has a little treat. I knew it! I knew that he had to perform a new song at this concert. I grabbed Kradamour’s arm or shoulder or something, (she will never want to stand beside me at a concert again), just so excited for what we were about to hear! What would this song be, will we like it? I loved it from the first verse. It’s from his soul, his pain, his love. I was breathless. The screams started after the second verse, “scars make us who we are”. As much as I would love for people to control their screaming during such a tender song, I understand it. There had to be an outlet for that emotion evoked by the beauty. For me, it came in tears! After the performance Adam left the stage for a few minutes, I assume to take in the reaction of the crowd, regroup, and to give us all a chance to linger in the afterglow. We all turned to each other in disbelief and loving what we had just witnessed. We were awed! I’m still awed by that most perfect song. The melody, the lyrics, and the most gorgeous voice combined! Although I didn’t know what I wanted, that was it!
I will always remember luval turning around to us, and the look of delight and disbelief on her face, and maybe a tear in her eye. I’m so happy to have shared this moment with my friends.
There was a sense of relief that yes, this new album is going to be awesome! I’m very excited to hear the studio version of Outlaws of Love.
Oh nkd thank you so much for this morning treat. I have tears in my eyes reading your recap and want to give you a big old hug for taking the time to capture the essense of the evening so perfectly.
I ain’t following this recap. uh-uh. Nope. Not gonna happen. (shakes head)
Got nuthin’ to add and no better way to say it.
Somehow Nekkid did a brain meld with me (so that is why you grabbed my shoulder or arm or something, nekkid! to have the physical contact for a brain meld!) and wrote just what I was thinking and feeling at the same time! and did it so beautifully.
Hmmm…I don’t want to just skip a chapter and leave blank pages for the concert, though…like Tristram Shandy (and if you know and love that book, adamized, then we are in fact twins separated at birth!) so I’ll take a different approach. To be continued tonight…
Thank you adamized!
Oh, p-leeease!
I stayed up writing, rushing to get mine posted ahead of your sure to be most awesome concert recap!
And…that’s exactly why I touched you, so I could meld with your brain! Did you ever consider the scarier scenario, that you also melded with my brain?!!!
Kradamour, I am really looking forward to reading your recap. It’s gonna be great!
