A quiet August leads into a busier fall schedule. We did get to see Adam on “Drag Race Down Under” and he even snuck in a private party performance for the PCF fundraiser. September will be a prep month as Adam selects new outfits (and maybe new songs?) for the QAL shows that start in Baltimore in October.

    Hello Everyone!

    I see where the last time that I logged into ALL was September 2022. I guess I’ll make this a yearly tradition to comment once a year, every September. Smile

    This past Sunday, I had “Northern Spirit” and “TLKC” over for a little dinner get together. At one point, I mentioned the Toronto October 8th concert and who I was aware of who would be coming here for the show. While “Northern Spirit” will be seeing the show, “TLKC” and I won’t be going. But then there’s the pre-dinner get together that “TLKC” and I would love to be a part of. I asked, “Has anyone heard from those coming here about what they’d like to do?” Then, like a thunderbolt I said, “Wait a minute. They’re waiting to hear from US! Of course! How silly of me to think otherwise. They only know “The Hot House” restaurant … but we’ve always had a good time there”.

    So I’m going to take it upon myself to make arrangements for the pre-dinner which, do to health reasons I hope that I’ll be able to attend! But looking past that, October 8th falls on a Sunday and “The Hot House” serves their Sunday buffet brunch. As much as I love that restaurants regular menu, the brunch, in a word, is awful. It’s not just me. None of the Toronto gang likes it. So, let’s not look to “The Hot House”.

    I’ve just had a change of thought. Is everyone arriving on October 8th? What I’m thinking is that I’d love to have you all come to my place! That might be do-able prior to the actual concert date it’s something that I’d enjoy very much.

    I hope that I’m wrong but I don’t think it would be too practical but let’s talk about it here. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area of the concert that we can go to on October 8th.

    Let’s discuss the possibilities and I know that, whatever plans we come up with, a good time will be had by all!

    As I mentioned, unfortunately I do have a number of health issues that I have to contend with but I’ll make every effort to be where we all decide will be the best and most convenient for all of us.

    A little trivia. The Scotiabank Centre, formally the Air Canada Centre where you’ll be seeing Queen + Adam Lambert, has 200 more seats than Madison Square Garden – to put it in perspective.

    Last time that I checked, several months ago, there was ONE ticket left and it was selling for $1,499.00 and it was way up and off to the side. I decided that I didn’t want to take a loan out from the bank to buy it. Big Smile

    Hubby and I are going to the first concert in Baltimore on 10/4. We probably won’t get up to Toronto although now that I know that a get together is being planned, perhaps we can travel up to it. I’ll be checking plans as they show up here.

    luval, seems Adam gets copied a lot! Remember when Gaga did those green lasers on Oprah just shortly after he did them for WWFM on Idol?

    Fans whining on Twitter, when he’s never been busier! So many interviews, gigs, new beautiful album! His voice is just as beautiful on ANY music IMHO. I doubt we’ll see a full tour from him until after QAL and another solo album. He’s enjoying a personal life right now. Big Smile

    A coincidence that we find ourselves posting about pre-concert dinners. I’ve ruled out “Oliver and Bonicini” for perhaps obvious reasons. Wink

    Toronto concert goers, I just got off the phone with TLKC. She highly recommends a restaurant on Front Street where you’ll walk along, as we all have, to get to the fairly recently named Scotiabank Centre. It’s called “Le Papillon” and bears no resemblance to the Steve McQueen movie that would put us imprisoned in a penal system in French Guiana. Smile No, this restaurant is bit more refined as “le papillon” translates to “butterfly”. There are no butterflies on the menu though but, here it is:

    Hi Ron! I’m sorry I’ll be missing all the fun in Toronto. I have tickets to 4 other shows this side of the border (Baltimore x2, MSG, and Boston) and couldn’t rationalize a trip to Toronto in addition. But I’ll be thinking about all of you and remembering the great time we had at our last QAL concert in Toronto.
