August was break time as Adam returned home to LA from his vacay on Roger’s boat. It was also time to reconnect with family, friends and Pharaoh. Now that September is here, it’s back to school work as Starstruck starts shooting Season 2 with new judge Shania Twain joining Adam, Beverley, Jason and Olly.

luval I feel like all these paid + channels are going to be a fixture now. NBC just announced that all their streaming is going to be exclusively on Peacock, they just moved Days of Our Lives to only on Peacock.
I haven’t watched DWTS since they fired Tom Bergeron, but I think I will have to watch when they dance to Trespassing.

glambotgram. I heard about all the NBC streaming on Peacock from now on (from AGT last night). But they’ll still have the original shows on NBC & then you can re-watch(stream) them on Peacock. I don’t care about that. I have On Demand from Spectrum & I can watch most anything again. Plus if I’m that interested in a show I record it!
Of course some shows like Days of Our Lives has totally left NBC.
I read people are dropping many streaming services too. They keep adding up. Five bucks here, ten here, etc. Certain + networks will stay. Will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

luval I just figure any re-watching of a show would be considered streaming and that when NBC changes to only Peacock then you would not be able to watch later on any other format. And I wonder if other networks will be following suit.
I have YouTubeTV and can watch pretty much anything, anytime too, but I think that is going to change. Not sure if recording a show will change?
Who knows, I just want to be able to always watch Adam when something involves him or his music.
BTW I was rooting for Sara and Avery and the Mayas, So glad neither country act won.

I still didn’t get the idea that NBC was changing all it’s programing to strictly Peacock. I think the way Terry Crews said it last night made it sound this way. As of now the only show to leave NBC is Days of Our Lives. Here’s what is says about Peacock on google

I don’t know when I became such a lurker. I’m still reading every day.
Wanted to join in on the streaming services discussion.
I’ve also read several articles recently in the NYT and Wash Post about how young people are turning away from services .
Had a discussion with my 30 year old nephews and their friends recently about this. All of them are tired of being nickeled and dimed for each channel to watch certain shows. Canceling channels and starting channels all the time. We talked about ” old fashioned” cable, HBO, etc. There were 8- 30 year old guys all sick of how things are.
I personally do not stream or pay for channels. I ” miss out” on a lot of shows I might really like. I have basic cable and HBO and Showtime.
I catch clips of shows of interest on You Tube.
I have streamed Adam’s concerts.
Life goes on. There are only so many hours in a day.
The loss of soaps is actually a big deal though. The audience for soaps trends older. And “older” doesn’t typically do tech/streaming very well.
Really appreciate the posts by luval and glambot here.
Sometimes I feel like a dinosaur. But reading those articles and hearing my nephews’ and their friends’ opinions was very validating.
And, hey, I saw every second of Game of Thrones on HBO. Still, by far, the single best thing I’ve ever seen on TV . Ever. Several times over!!!

The pics so far from Starstruck are so beautiful. He looks so happy and dare I say healthy.
I agree, with one qualifier, Outlander is also truly magnificent. Of course I read both book series before they were TV shows so I was already invested in the characters. But both are amazing.

OH MY GOD! I loved Roberta Flack long before Adam was even born, and I thought nobody could sing her songs as well as she did with the tearing at heartstrings emotion that she was able to convey. Then I heard Adam sing The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, and I was dumbstruck…, jaw dropping, tearing up dumbstruck. It was magnificent! It’s proves what we all already knew, that Adam can sing anything, usually better than he original. In this case equally beautiful, if more emotional.
