    riskylady– Ah, the ole ole ole at the end of the Barcelona concert. What a great memory! Just watching the video gives me chills all over again.

    rs– Thanks for your recap from our TOH European trip. It was loads of fun and so interesting to visit all those different cities in pursuit of Adam. I can’t wait to read your recap from the QAL show in Israel. I’m very excited for you. I’m impressed with how organized they are in providing transportation to the concert. If only they had been that organized in Barcelona. But then the riskys, kinky, and I would have missed out on our great adventure trying to find a way home.

    Re: Adams pool – the part that looks shallow is called “the beach” and is about two feet deep. There will be a hole for an umbrella and then most likely a short table that comes just above the water line. Also will have low beach chairs. Our kids just did a redo on their pool and they love their new beach. It is the in thing here in California.

    Didn’t find one person on twitter who likes GaGa’s new song…comments like “sounds like an album filler…B side of a record, 80’s vibe”. I didn’t hate it but I wouldn’t buy it. (sounds like she’s singing about her ex. I’m sorry that it didn’t work out)

    lol twilightmagic8…about the “no sides”. When I first saw the photos I immediately thought of a dandelion. I know this is weird but I was thinking for the shows he’d spike up the top. Like this dandelion.

    ulti, I’m hoping for good security! Surely they will do everything to keep the venue safe for Queen’s first and prob only concert in Israel.

    Home, lurking daily, and watching my DVR of 3 songs from Isle of Wight. Magnificent.

    Loved that Save Me with the instagram. UNF.

    Still so gobsmacked by the beauty and the voice.

    Soooo happy for rs for the Tel Aviv show.

    As many of you know, my hubby is from Tel Aviv, and I have been to Israel many times, as have some of you.

    Security will be very very tight. It will be embedded in the crowd. There will be metal detectors and searches of every single person . You can’t even get into a mall there without this kind of security.

    Don’t get me started on BDS here. Email me if you want my opinion.

    I’m very happy Adam is getting to visit. I hope he gets to see some sights, gets to eat some real falafel, with all the fixings. Soooo delicious. Maybe he’ll get to the Wall or float in the Dead Sea.

    Most of all, I hope he gets to feel the feeling so many Jewish people feel of an overwhelming feeling in your gut of being home, of belonging to the land. I know Adam identifies as a Jew, but isn’t religious, that he feels a universal spirituality, that’s all fine , but I wonder if it will hit him, and if he’ll talk about it.

    Or maybe he’ll just be too caught up in the business of show to have time to feel Israel.

    Time will tell, but, oh, how I wish I could be shoulder to shoulder with rs again, close up to QAL, like we were in Toronto.

    I remember so vividly being right next to Adam at the thrust, in his Dragon Attack pants and that fantastic gold and black lace shirt, and feeling the power just emanating from him, gah. ..what a feeling.

    So, rs, I’ll be with you in spirit, please recap for us soon, and I am so happy for you.

    Well, Adam is not a copier, and tries to stay above the trend.
    I will never ever forget the Forest Gump haircut.
    Also, that is one of my all time favorite Queen+Adam performances, at the EMA’s in Belfast. Such suspense, with not announcing Adam. Who is that? OMG…A gift from God. Big Smile

    A riveting moment in time!
    Hauntingly in that moment, we were witnessing the rebirth of Queen. I was holding my breath, and in a state of Adam AWE!
    I was shaking, and overjoyed.
    Also, seeing Roger and Brian glowing with renewed spirit. Their face and bodies said it all. He was their’s for keeps.

    Ulti, no worries about security. The park is completely fenced off with no possibility of looking in (I know people who are going but haven’t bought tickets. They plan to sit outside and listen to the concert without seeing anything. They aren’t Glamberts and have no idea what they are missing.) There are 10 entrances and the tickets are marked with the entrance to be used. Everyone and their bags will be checked as they enter, but I have never been to a concert there so I don’t know if they use metal detectors. There is no reason for demonstrations. I read somewhere that people would be upset that Adam isn’t a practicing Jew. That is crazy. People are proud of the fact that he is a “kosher” Jew (meaning that his mother is Jewish) and that he identifies as Jewish. Now if they were planning to perform a big show in Jerusalem on the Sabbath, a Friday night, that would be a different matter, but organizers would never do that.

    That BDS comment is snarky and insulting. The people who come to perform here, such as Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Madonna, and many more, don’t need the money and resent anyone telling them where they can and can’t perform. It is probably people with less money who are susceptible to pressure and threats to boycott them in other places.

    I have been in touch with cgesq who came for the concert, and we will meet tomorrow.

    Mils, I too, hope that Adam will get a chance to tour a bit as well as checking out the Tel Aviv night life, but I kind of doubt if he will have a spiritual experience here. It would be nice, though. I wish you had been able to get here for the concert. But don’t worry, you will be right next to me the whole time!

    Tel Aviv has an active LGBT community and clubs. It would be fun to see Adam clubbing there. We have two different friends whose sons have moved there, they feel more accepted there as gay out young men than here. Interesting. And sad.

    I know security will be tight for the show.

    BDS. Bunch of crap. People who think they understand , but don’t. Every single young person I know who aligned themselves with them because it was popular in college, and then actually went there, have done a complete and vocal turn around.

    “Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions”. It is the group that wants to put pressure on Israel by boycotting all Israeli products, not allowing Israeli academics to be invited to international conferences or academic institutions, and is against artistic and cultural performances coming here. I have never heard of pro-bds demonstrations here.

    The news is on and there was just something about the QAL concert here. 50,000 tickets have already been sold. They showed Adam and said something about his Idol audition, but there were more clips of Freddie than Adam, Brian, and Roger put together. OOF! Mad
