After a few weeks in Mykonos for a well-deserved break, September will be busy for Adam. Q+AL are to do a short 9-concert tour of Israel and Asia. The first concert is in Tel Aviv on the 12th wrapping up in Bangkok on the 30th.

I reckon that article made a mistake with the XF audition info, they’ve already auditioned and got their teams down to 3….maybe when they actually did the interview they were about to start, but it has only just gone into print?
That is definitely the new Q, with the fatter sides and slimmer edges at top and bottom. Remember they said they dismantled/discarded the other one in Latin America and that this one is made of much lighter and less bulky material and much less expensive to ship around.

I just watched Brian Justin Crum on AGT for the first time. MEH, he has a good maybe 1-1.5 octave voice. Not really impressed.
Oh Yeah and he chose a Tears for Fears song and changed it up a bit.
Like some have said before he has been watching videos.
I truly did not like Brian JC’s performance tonight. And the first thing that hit me was the background. Certainly looked like a huge Q. Yes, he’s been watching videos.

Watched BJC, and immediately thought of the Q, and Tears for Fears too.
He has mentioned that he saw QAL in LA, and knows Adam.
I do believe he is talented, but, as for me, nobody can sing or perform like Adam.
That being said, I do think he’ll go far in this competition.
He has some charisma, but not enough vocal range. IMHO.
Listened twice to Crum – parts of his voice I like and parts don’t like – mixed bag for me – seems very popular – hope these appearances help him in his career – but have no interest in him as a performer –

I always loved Tears for Fears, so it pained me to see BJC dismantle and crush their song. Their songs have a sort of laid back rhythm combined with meaningful, even rebellious lyrics but not shouty.
His was sooo contrived. So stiff. So shouty.
I consider their music sort of “soul” rock. And he took away the melody and the soul, almost unrecognisable.
Adam has done two TfF songs, Mad World and Shout. He KNOWS how to keep the spirit, the soul of a song even when changing the arrangement, and HOW the arrangement has to fit.

I know he’s in a competition, but remember A’s Mad World. Adam has said the control needed for the low key songs is much harder. BJC has just belted everything to death – same template, soft entry, then yell to the end. He just hasn’t really “gotten” Adam, bad student.

HK fan, watched The Conversations last night. Daniella is lovely, luminous. The movie is very interesting, modern. She really got into his head (in the story) – the last scene really ties it all up. For me, it begs the question, can Muslim or Arab men really ever understand/accept independent Western women? Anyway, can’t wait for the next one.

Adam gets plenty of radio play outside the US and UK. But even WWFM and GT did OK here. I don’t understand the UK thing though. It’s like they deliberately exclude him when the rest of Europe and the world accept him. Something going on there – is it that he dares to sing with Queen?

That new QAL interview from Thailand was good except for the fact that the writer kept confusing QAL and Queen Extravaganza in his comments between the quotes. The order in which he presented Roger’s comments on tribute bands, QE and QAL added to this confusion. QAL is not a Queen tribute band and has never been regarded as such by anyone other than a few die hard Freddie fanatics.
