Summer is almost over and so is the “Once In A Lifetime” tour. It has been a fantastic experience for Adam and Queen and for the many who were fortunate enough to see them live (and even for those who just saw them online). The concerts may be over soon but they live on in our memories and on Youtube (since our memories cannot always be relied upon). They will have to do for now as we wait for new music from Adam and possibly another tour in 2015. It will be here before we know it!

Enjoy the chat!

I have to say that I am not crazy about those concert dates or about the fact that so many of them are in Germany. I understand the thinking behind it. They don’t want to travel too far in the dead of winter and Germany is central. I have been to both London and Paris in late November and over the Christmas holidays and it was FREEZING! January-Feb will be worse. Paris is the smallest venue and I am afraid that it will fill up immediately. I adore Prague. I have been there twice. I am thinking Milan, as the southernmost city, and one of the latest dates, but I don’t know if it makes any difference considering the insane weather we have been having these past years. I guess it depends on if and where other ALLers decide to go.

  11. AL says:

Continuing on the road to recovery, we are reliving the Q+AL concerts one (or two) per week. This week we’re in Calgary where calgary saw her first show. Post your commentary about those concerts in the Calgary thread and feel free (I’m looking at you Mrs. PITT Wink ) to let me know if anything needs to be added or updated.
Link to the concert thread is at the top right under Upcoming shows/events.

    Enjoy the concert (again)!!

We may need to revisit more than one a week since there are only 14 weeks before the European concerts start.

  12. cher says:

Thanks Al. We’ll be revisiting all for some time to come. Everytime I think about the UK/Europe tour I start to shiver so I don’t know if these warmth-loving bones can deal with that weather. Vids are great!! Question

  13. HK fan says:

It’ll be interesting to see if the official list matches up to this unofficial one when its announced later.
I was looking at the school calendar this morning…no days off or public holidays in January…..the milan date is around CNY I think…..

Supposed to be going to see Mamma Mia tomorrow night with my daughter and a friend, been looking forward to it for months…kind if doubting we’re going to get there now. The theatre is very close to wear the protestors are.
It was quite shocking seeing the pics and videos from yesterday, and seeing the way in which reporters report it…looking at you BBC!!

  16. rs says:
  17. cher says:

Hopefully you can make it HKfan! It’s a great show. You’ll be on your feet singing and dancing! Too bad if the protesters prevent your attending. No

  19. HK fan says:

I saw it many years ago in London Cher, and loved it….(love the movie too!)
I don”t begrudge the protestors, they’re doing what they need to do. Its just that Central HK is pretty much at a standstill, and its having a knock on effect on road closures and public transport….
I suppose if the worst comes to the worst, I find a carpark a mile or so away and walk the last bit…

  20. cher says:

Geez. Presales start in less than an hour. Pain

  21. rs says:

The presales that start now are for the UK shows. I can’t make a decision this quickly. If I decide to go, hopefully someone will have an extra ticket. Or there is always trusty stubhub.

  22. cher says:

rs the today presales are also for Zurich, Milan, Denmark, Prague and Vienna

  23. LadyNorth says:

OMG Im panicking… NO idea how Adam fans can get presale! Anyone know? Not member of QFC. Cher dear, what seat to choose in O2 Frown?

  24. cher says:

they are only offering crappy ones now. I’ll send you the email link ladynorth but don’t buy the crappy ones they’re offering. Ticketbastard!!

  25. HK fan says:
  26. cher says:

ticketzone offering better ones but disappearing fast

  28. luval says:

So I got the Queenonline notice in my email. Don’t know how since I don’t remember signing up. Ugh to the dates. First two weeks would be totally out for me. The rest…IDK. Can they really sell out these shows in the middle of winter? Always wanted to visit Switzerland, though.

    Hi cher Wink

  29. luval says:

Yes, Dublin and another London date too. Just very weird dates and venues to me. But what do I know.

  30. LadyNorth says:

Damn I already boughtThinking section 110. Cher do you send it by email? Gonna check…

  31. cher says:

I almost bought 110 too. Am still holding onto them but I am gonna let them go. I have a funny feeling there’s gonna be
    another O2 show.

I even had 111s in my basket but let them go too. Don’t know if I really wanna go. I had 4 decent Milan ones too though but I don’t know if I am going there either.

  32. cher says:

O2 will have decent seats for open sale. I noticed they haven’t put a whole side up for sale yet, mostly near the back on the curve, the back ones and also high up in the nosebleeds.

  33. cher says:

Hi Luval! U caught me with this stupid ticket buying debacle, I hate the no time to breathe presale! Just ugh!

  34. cher says:

The other concerts are much easier to get great seats other than O2 right now. Leeds, Manchester, all good ones and VIPs
    available.

  35. LadyNorth says:

VIP for London is 295 pounds. There’s a seat free in 112. Should I? If there’s another show in O2, I’ll go there too (the next day?)

  36. TLKC says:

Good luck to everyone buying tickets. I have decided not to go. Europe in winter is not appealing. If this was the first go-around for Queen UK I would brave it, but it’s not.

Not surprised about Germany rs. Queen was and is very, very big there. Also, Germany was one of the few European countries where WWFM and the FYE cd sold well. I understand why you wouldn’t want to go there but they will sell-out the fastest, imho.

  37. cher says:

No ladynorth don’t buy 112. Too close to stage on the side. 111 or 102 would be best. Normally that would be good but because of the Q, you can’t see properly from there. Just wait. Seats will open up and I bet 2 weeks before they’ll sell great seats just like over here when they’ve finished bleeding the public on the scalper sites. They haven’t even started selling the left side of O2 remember that. They have started selling the back left 103 now up to row X so they’ll be moving in a bit to section 102 and that’ll be fine.

  38. adamized says:

cher your knowledge regarding arenas, ticket buying savy, etc. are a true treasure.

I am really going to have to wait and see if any of these concerts are options for me. I have always wanted to go to Prague and love Zurich, But not sure anywhere will be doable in February. Dark, gloomy, and cold are not my favorite times to get to know a new place.

OTOH I know myself way too well to totally rule out anything at this point. Nice knowing that we have more concerts coming our way if only from the comforting glow of our computer screens. Much worse ways to enjoy the cold weather months.

Good luck to those buying tickets and planning strategies.

  40. LadyNorth says:

Cher you are a treasure Heart

I wish I found some company. But all the peeps seem to go in pairs Frown

  41. cher says:

Ladynorth at the very worst, my hubby has two nephews in London and I’ll make one of them go with you. rs, riskylady and a few others here met one of the nephews at our dinner get together in London. He should be coming back from his NY vacay by then.
Adamized, thanks for your kind words but it’s so frustrating to go thru this ticket buying crap. Rolls Eyes Zurich is the most expensive for tickets. 11 euros higher than other UK/Europe venues but that’s how Switzerland is. Very expensive. Well, for here, LA, Vegas and MSG were more expensive per average seat than other venues. I am very scared of the cold over there as well. No way Prague nor germany. Even scared of London’s weather!!

  42. cher says:

Also ladynorth, those tickets in 110 are still decent seats.
The O2 venue is weird. You have lower level 1 seats and then it goes 26 rows up then you have level 4 after that, way high up. It is bigger than MSG by about 1150 seats. Remember you will be able to see the whole show with all the special effects better from back there than from closer up. Unless of course you want to count Adam’s pant threads too? ROTFL The bad part is the O2 has so much GA on the floor it’ll be a nightmare to try to get close to the stage. I see a lady on Facebook saying she bought an onstage ticket for Manchester. She had one or two over here and front rows for much of the others she went to including Australia.

  43. LadyNorth says:

Thanks Cher Kiss I happily welcome all your relatives Smile But I really hope I don’t have to spend 5 days alone in London… Fellow Finns are very confused – they don’t know where to go and most of them don’t have the links and/or credit cards with them.

Last show of the tour would be great, but who knows if Zurich really is the last – whatya think Cher?

  44. TLKC says:

Milan has onstage tickets for 1050 euros, Cher (or they did an hour ago.) Milan is late in the tour and the weather will be a bit warmer there.

  45. little dutchess says:

I cannot believe I woke up to this ticket buying nightmare! Don’t know if this FL girl is up to such cold weather.
Have visited England and Belgium in January in a past life and enjoyed it very much BUT that was when I was from New England (and much younger!!!lol!!!) and the countries mentioned were actually warmer at that time than at home but now…?
Was actually looking at Vienna since that day is my birthday and I’ve never been there. But have found the ticket site not up and running??? Anyone else??
Would also love to do the O2 but can’t settle for lousy seats and am too tired to think and it just seems complicated at this moment.

  46. LadyNorth says:

Yep Cher, 110 (Row P) is ok for the overall view. And anyway in Helsinki I had VIP seat on the side close to the stage, but still Adam was far away… I guess if I want a closer look, It’d be GA and I can’t do that. Which side of the arenas the couch opens Wink?

  47. rs says:

Ladynorth, cher‘s nephew is adorable. He would make a great partner for a QAL show. I am thinking that if I go it would be Milan or Prague. Maybe if cwm can hook a concert onto her trip to Amsterdam we could arrange to meet somewhere. What do you think adamized? I can’t make any plans now or buy tickets yet.

  48. rs says:

I guess the timing was set to keep the momentum from the summer up and not to interfere with the launching of Adam 3, which will probably be just after the tour ends.

  49. TLKC says:

I just tried Vienna little duchess. A few of the venues don’t start until tomorrow; Berlin, Holland, Belgium, in particular. Perhaps Vienna is showing the wrong pre-sell start date.

  50. TLKC says:

ITA rs. These dates suggest the wonderful possibility of a spring cd release and a single in late February/March. Maybe? Hope so, anyway.
