The idea of a specific song thread is interesting. In essence it would be a playlist for each song versus for each concert. I could set up a master page for Q+AL 2014 songs and then sub-pages for each song. I would have to allow comments since if I don’t you would not be able to post links. Whatever links are posted would then need to be added to the top of the thread and that could involve some work. I’m not sure that I am up to that right now. I don’t mind setting up the threads but somebody else will have to edit them and add any new video links. It’s not difficult so we could give access to whoever is up to the task. Perhaps a “best of” could also be chosen and that one video is embedded on the master page?
And if we do the song thread, would we keep up the weekly concert walk down memory lane?

Have never seen Ron in the flesh, but darn if the top pic doesn’t give me Ron-vibes from the pics I’ve seen.
I also support mils‘ idea of some sort of “share your favorites song by song” threads. That’s what I’ve been trying to do myself. Is it possible to make a thread for that, but so that we just post links of our favorite vids of that song, no need for AL to link them above? When I’ve been going through Sept chat, I have copied suggestions for good vids (thank you all for those
) to one spreadsheet under different songs… I don’t trust in bookmarks anymore after losing all my previous ones 
Dear ALLers, I have a problem. What’s the best way to transfer youtubes to MP3s? What program do you use? My hair is soon as gray as Brian’s, because I have so many technical challenges. Every time I try to download a software, something frightening happens… Like today, when I tried to download MSG multicam concert from somebody’s sendspace, it began to install some program (download.exe) and my avast (virus detect etc) alerted me of some dangerous files half of the day! I didn’t manage to download or open any of that concert. And what is torrent, is it difficult to use it? Where can I hire an assistant?? Any courses for desperate glamberts who can’t fill their needs for technical reasons?? Stressed how to get everything saved, when I don’t have a technically wise partner any more… None of my friends download stuff (or hardly have time to listen to music because of small kids). So I am very thankful for any advice!

AL: Just have a question about the songs thread: Will they affect the blog’s volume on the server in any detrimental way? (Sorry if this question is not posed in a technically correct way due to my tech-challenged brain, but you probably get my drift, right?) Would costs be affected (of course, I think we have always said we would contribute)? Just curious, seems that we’d all probably comment and add links on a favourite topic!

It was easy as eating pancakes, even for me.
So MP3s solved. Before I had something (installed?) to my browser so that in all videos there was a button to download it as MP4 (video format). I emailed my ex who did it what it was, maybe he answers in two weeks… He’s the one who was with me in the London show, so I put a link to the MSG-show in the same email.
This is the file I tried to download earlier (that full multishow which has been taken down from youtube) without success. Has anyone else tried it and succeeded?

All the news have interpreted Adam’s words so, that “I’m trying something new” means new kind of music. But in this context, does Adam mean that keeping things under wraps is new to him? It is a grade school song in the states. It actually has a long history and other names but evolved into a song refrain sung by children. The original song has many verses and is about a slave who’s master dies from a fall from a horse.

Sweet Good New Year Dreams, ALL!! I found out today, through a Jewish co-worker, that Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year. In doing some on-line research, the correct greeting is Shana Tova (good year) and to wish someone a good year is better than wishing them a happy year. Interesting!

Okay, so I’ve been to evening services, I have had a lovely dinner at a lovely Rabbi’s house, I have had my apple and honey,
So, here’s my incredible Adam story that really truly happened today. And if you don’t believe me, just ask my new baby Glambert. She was a witness.
** Takes a deep breath, leans into keyboard, cracks knuckles, and go:**
I was meeting the family of somebody at work, son is in town and works and lives in LA, lives in Beverly Hills, looks very California. He is in the music equipment business, buys and sells, etc. He’s pretty cool. ( Married )
So luval says that I am skilled at leading a conversation into Adam topics. Remember that.
So, we start having a side conversation ( imagine that those who have met me !! LOL at myself ) about music, my kids have a lot of equipment at home , they are in school, garage bands, yada yada, it was fun.
So. I ask him if he likes classic rock, he’s all “yeah, is there anything else?”
So, I mention that I saw Queen this summer. I did not say QAL, I said that I saw Queen.
So, no lie.
Guy jumps up, says loudly ” with ADAM LAMBERT???” OMG. My wife and I LOOOVE him!!
I say I saw QAL 3 times. He squees. No lie.
He said he lives in LA and is in a music business and didn’t know about the show until it was too late. I told him not to beat himself up, because they probably had one commercial and it sold out in less than a few hours. I didn’t have the heart to mention pre-sales.
It gets better.
He says they’ve met. And he has pictures.
He was at the small club the night Adam saw , I think, he can’t remember, but it may have been Ferras, the night he was “with” Lindsay Lohan and that night later she got arrested for running over somebody?
Anyway, he said Adam was so nice and generous to them.
We talked about his albums, he knew them both very well.
I had to self-talk to not be loud and gushy, at work, you know,.
So, I mention, I’ve met him too, and have pics.
There’s more. So, it turns out they have seen Adam perform several times, at cafes pre-Idol,and at Idol shows. I’m thinking Upright Cabaret, the Idol shows live, Idol Tour, and Glam Nation.
And, they have been watching You Tubes, especially Killer Queen and Somebody to Love. He loves Killer Queen.
So, I go back to my office and get them, and whip them out. He loves it.
So, on my way out to my car after work, there he is. And my best workbert is coming out another door. So I ask him to show her his pic, she is berting, I am berting, and he is berting.
As he walks away, he shouts out “The Next Elvis.” And fist pumps the bright blue sky.
No lies. No exaggeration. Just pure Glambert joy. From a straight guy who lives and works in LA.
We will be exchanging emails, I told him I could refer him to some great vids. He really wants to watch them.
