Anyone else taking the WSJ dot quiz? I got the Ben guy(why?). I’d rather be a cupcake. I’m surprised that very little was said about JLO’s video. Talk about tasteless, I didn’t even finish watching it. Many of the online comments weren’t too favorable either. I love all the WWTLF videos, take my I-pad to bed with me and let Adam sing me to sleep.

I had an idea today.
Another kind of thread idea.
What if we had a thread for certain songs, and had versions of it posted in there? For instance, we could have WWTLF thread, or a Somebody to Love thread?
I see that I find myself going through separate threads, bookmarking certain songs, or going back and forth looking for certain songs/versions.
I see that some of us are looking for certain songs over and over.
This could be a great resource. Of joy, aural pleasure. Visual treats.
Not to mention that it would satisfy my need to be compulsively organized. But, that’s another subject…
What do all think?

I think it’s a great idea for the songs thread but would that mean over 20 threads? Is there such a thing as one thread with “sub-categories “?
Dunno about the songs thread. When the threads get too fractured, a lot of times peeps post on the ‘wrong’ thread (probably because we all have multiple tabs open for monthly chat, concert, etc.) and something cool that was for sharing goes unseen, then gets reposted, then…
I like the idea in principle but we already have a lot going on in terms of threads, and that can suck energy away from the main monthly chat thread, where we mostly gather.
My two cents.

Kradamour, I thought a song thread would,for example, have every version of STL just listed by YouTube link and origin. Not really a place for comments. Maybe I am wrong as to what mils was asking.

flailcomment, our hearts will pour out.If these threads would not be open for comments, it could work. Or if comments strictly limited to a specific performance of a specific song…?
One thing that I would like is a permanent link to that HUGE Google worksheet that lists all the QAL videos by concert and then by vidoer. Makes it so easy to find faves without having huge lists on bookmarks. Could be on the side with other blog links?
