Summer is almost over and so is the “Once In A Lifetime” tour. It has been a fantastic experience for Adam and Queen and for the many who were fortunate enough to see them live (and even for those who just saw them online). The concerts may be over soon but they live on in our memories and on Youtube (since our memories cannot always be relied upon). They will have to do for now as we wait for new music from Adam and possibly another tour in 2015. It will be here before we know it!

    ulti, I had that discussion about SCC on a YT comment section about a month ago. Freddie often did the song faster live, but I played the album version and the current Adam live version together on two tabs, and they are doing exactly the same speed as the album version. I think that’s appropriate – many don’t know the song, and would barely understand the faster one. And, it would seem like trying to copy Freddie. AND, IMHO, it sounds like crap gibberish!

    What a wondrous thing it is that the world has been blessed with Adam Lambert so that we could all see some of the special magic of Queen, Roger Taylor’s incredible vocals and Brian May’s unparalleled guitar solos. The giant mirror ball reflected the wonder perfectly, as did the stagecraft during the whole night.

    P.S. Brisbane Crowd – I am extremely proud of the fact that none of you on the floor level seating sat down for the whole concert! well done! Now we just need to educate those in tiered seating about what a Rock concert is about!!!!!!

    Saw your post on the August chat. So glad you watched and enjoyed Outlander. I have hubby watching with me now. After it was over last night, he said “I can’t believe how fast that went” so I think he’s hooked too! Refresh my memory, you have Scottish roots, correct?

    Yes, I am Scottish born, and will be forever in my heart and soul, Scottish Smile. I love seeing the Scottish countryside in Outlander, and quite enjoy the TV version – although, it doesn’t ‘grip me’ the way the books did Wink – but I don’t think THAT would be allowed on TV would it? Evil Grin . I am definitely hooked though, and wee Jamie’s not too hard on the eyes Drool .

    Your husband is so right; those 90 minutes do fly by!

    Glitterpatti, wow, what an adventurous spirit you have Big Smile , but you wont be sorry, New Zealand is an amazingly beautiful country and the people so hospitable (so my aunt in Wellington tells me). I envy you and kiwi and wish you both a wonderful concert experience.

    Have just finished listening to thet Iheart radio thing…and I have to say…(probably sacrilege to many people), but I wasn’t that impressed with the live recordings of Freddie….think Adams Now I’m here, and stone cold crazy are much better.
    This tours version of Now I’m here seems a bit faster than back then, and SCC a touch slower.

    Luval…..I never watch TYMD either…don’t know why, I like it when I hear it on the livestream…don’t always listen to SCC either, or RGG….or 39,love of my life..

    You only want to do that if you’re not invested in the performer and don’t care if you go or not. The best way is to have a ticket in hand and then go waiting for good late release ones…if that happens. Doesn’t always, but can for big venues when the scalpers have already milked the audience for months. Frown

    FYI – Auckland #1 thread will be automatically published at 2 AM EDT Wednesday morning. The show is scheduled to begin at 4 AM EDT.

    Hard to believe that the Q+AL tour is almost done. Looks like a quiet fall coming up around here. Adam will be in studio mode, and has been very secretive about this next album so wouldn’t expect any substantial info coming forth.

    There might be a solo show or two during the holidays. Adam has typically done a concert at a casino or resort on New Year’s Eve.

    Any guesses for the album release date? Given that the Q+AL tour was extended into September, and the stakes riding on this album, I think it’s going to be a while. I’ll guess April or May 2015.

    Thanks eywflyer, I am keeping my fingers crossed and options open for NYs in hope that Adam will perform somewhere in north America. I’m going to Provence in October and don’t think I could afford another trip overseas so quickly.

    Thanks HK fan for posting the Queen fan’s recap. So many folks are coming to recognize how perfect Adam is for Queen. If I hear anyone else singing Queen (including FM I’m embarrassed to say) it just doesn’t sound right. This is probably due to spending the last 2 1/2 months listening to nothing but Adam with Queen.

    The Live at the Rainbow Room interview was interesting. It is a shame that they used the iHeart with Fun and Adam but I guess they needed to plug iHeart as well as Queen. Glad they included the Adam only medley as well at the end.
