As summer draws to a close, the fall season heats up with appearances by Adam at the iHeartRadio Music Festival with Queen, on the new album “True” by Avicii and on the new season of “Glee”. A triple threat: live, on CD/MP3 and on your TV! He may not be officially working on new music but we do know that he always has something going on.

    What did any of you ALL’ers think of Bruno’s performance the other night?

    Hello mils.
    Just wanted to say that I did see Bruno perform; loved it! I like how he and his band do steps in unison. Also, I adore him because he has a lot of talent, and he also knows and admits his limitations. He never pretends to be somebody/something he’s not. IMO

    I think this a new article, but old news…..just thought it was good as its a UK radio station, not a huge one, but its good news for him to get any press in the UK.

    BTW, one of my workberts passed me in the hallway today. She gave me quite the raised eyebrow, smiled grinned and nearly was blushing. OMG. She squeezed my arm and said under her breath, OMG! That picture! OMG! I can’t stop looking at it!!

    Yup. So proud. She’s in baby. She’s in.

    I just love a baby. They’re so sweet. They smell nice.

    Just saw on Mj’s that Adam’s song would be Gaga’s “Marry the Night”. Don’t care for that one too much. Really wanted “Applause”. Applause is more current too.

    Not really concerned about Applause, luval – think it’s Adam’s voice that makes the song. And, actually, think MTN is something he can do a great deal with – darkly dramatic.

    Tuned into Glee (TV in basement) – didn’t last long – went upstairs but left set on to listen to the music – was OK – nothing had to hear again for sure.

    No problem just waiting till Adam’s appearance, I guess – whatcha think.

    I agree nkd. I thought that tonight’s was especially over the top Glee.

    Is it just me, or did everybody seem extra stylish, and kinda more glam? Was it all just a little something extra?

    Are they all feeling like they need to be more on their game because Adam is coming? Or, was it the season opener and they were trying hard to be cheerful because it was their fist episode back after Corey’s death?

    Any thoughts?

    If I might make a suggestion for the upcoming picture for October Chat page, with so many wonderful pictures taken, I would LOVE to see the one with Adam facing the audience that he posted that said “My happy place…Where I feel the most like Me”……it says soooo much and expresses what he was feeling with this exceptional performance. Please comment as I feel so strongly about this!!! Just saying—

    On another note, I was waitingaround in the bagel shop, picked up time magaine, and learned the following factoids about Avicii:
    Avici is the lowest hell in buddhism.
    The extra i is due to the fact that avici was already claimed as a username on myspace when he made an account.
    Avicii had a pancreas health problem at 21 and since then has learned to party without alcohol.
    I really like the guy. He seems very intelligent and creative.

    Just watched Glee and I grinned almost all the way through it. You all know how much I love Adam, but the Beatles were my first love and the soundtrack to my teens (early Beatles when I was 13 and late Beatles when I was in college). Yesterday has always been my all-time favorite song and while nothing can ever come close to the original, I felt that Lea poured her feelings about losing Corey into that song. It was separated from the upbeat nature of the rest of the show, on purpose, I believe, a mini tribute to him. (One of these days I want to hear Adam sing Yesterday, but I don’t know if it will ever happen.)

    I have always been a sucker for musicals and love this show. The idea of Adam and Glee together is almost too much to take in and I can hardly imagine what it will be like.

    Would I seem smug in saying that I think the Glamberts had a lot to do with Avicii’s album selling big? I loved Wake Me Up but would never have bought the album if it wasn’t for Adam being on it.

    As usual Adam is taller than anyone else! He looks young without the scruff. So happy for him!

    Did you notice when Lea Michele sang Yesterday she sang ” I’m not half the girl I used to be” instead of half the man. It’s obvious, of course, but sometimes artists don’t want you messing with the lyrics. Smile.

    So sad. Had a meeting last night and forgot to DVR Glee. Sounds like mixed reviews but I share rs’s enthusiasm for the Beatles (not surprising since we are both 29) Big Smile

    Waiting to hear from Kradamour on the new-and-improved Adam. A lot of fans just developed a new appreciation for Glee.

    Can’t wait to see where Glee will take Adam but I love the group shot – is that taken in Lea’s and Kurt’s loft?

    I saw Cher yesterday. Not the happiest of circumstances but we sat together in the church and had a chance to talk for a bit. Her extended family is large and many of them had travelled from very far away.

    I met Linda, the cousin who accompanied her to Hammersmith as well. She is Cher’s beard for her Glambert road trips. Grin

    Mils will be happy to know that Cher also managed to intrigue one of her cousins enough over the last few days that we are supplying one each of jlurksacto’s Hammersmith and Kiev DVD’s to Billy for his brother-in-law.

    Total Cher moment: at one point in the service, she whispered to me that when she had given the Sign of Peace to me she had said: “Peace be with you TLKC”, instead of my real name. Smile

    Ron and I are meeting her for lunch on Saturday. Can’t wait to have a good old jaw about iHeart.

    Man I sure wish I could see the detail of the new “sleeve”. It looks as though it may still be in progress. I know many don’t agree, but I like tattoos, especially if they’re very well done. Hope he’ll reveal it all soon.
