As summer draws to a close, the fall season heats up with appearances by Adam at the iHeartRadio Music Festival with Queen, on the new album “True” by Avicii and on the new season of “Glee”. A triple threat: live, on CD/MP3 and on your TV! He may not be officially working on new music but we do know that he always has something going on.

    Sorry but this smacks of ´Adam can´t handle it alone´

    I understand the angst. I really do.

    However, I’m trying hard to stay positive. ( a dear friend here urged me to be positive here last week. )

    This duet thing is often done at festivals. Queen is just so hugely popular, that maybe it’s not that Adam can’t handle them alone, but rather, “Queen must be shared.”

    Hi everyone. Am in Vegas now. Wasn’t going to come here when I heard about Fun on stage with everyone. Not sure how I feel but I am here and going to make the best of it. And no way would I have stayed up that late (3am) eastern time for a live stream. I am actually excited. This is a strange town. Hot, dry, concrete all over…no greenery.

    I had mentioned to a couple of peeps that I didn’t care for the Roger Taylor interview from the other day. Didn’t sound to me like Adam was going to be a part of Queen that much. Others felt it just meant that they don’t have anything planned right now after Iheart.
    So I am glad I’m here! Another new experience, another new town. All because of Adam.

    Aely and Texas… Will see you tomorrow! Gotta get out of this room. Something is making me sneeze!

    Eta….a couple I was sitting next to on the plane were coming here to see Donny Osmond! The wife and I just chuckled because her husband didn’t get it!

    Oh and adam’s manager Rob was on the plane too. Second time I’ve seen him. Philadelphia must be his base of operations. Would have said something but he got lost in the airport crowd.

    I gotta wonder if this was Queens idea or I heart. Maybe they wanted a spectacle. Since it was never mentioned by anyone till lately I think it was a last minute thing. They only were advertising Queen and Adam. He will be fine and still be the star. Brian loves him too much. Just hope he wipes the floor with Mr Fun guy.

    There was talk of adding an 8th song. Now that the set looks to be 35min Adam may very well be doing 7/8 of those Smile

    If it is true 7 out of 8 songs aint bad.

    luval Well I’m disappointed too that Adam has to share Queen billing with that “Fun” singer, so I looked him up and found an acoustic video on youtube. IMO, not much competition in either the voice dept. or the looks dept.

    Well, I don’t give a lot of credence to that Peter Posts guy. More to our insider who gave the clues….Fun is already scheduled for a performance, don’t see why they would combine legendary Queen’s entire performance with Fun…doesn’t compute for me. I still believe the two songs thing for Fun, one with Adam (FBG) and one without (STL). And, for the other surprise guest, I’m guessing Katy Perry. Adam and Queen both love her, she donated perfumes for Queen’s Mercury Phoenix event recently, she’s there…not so much for singing ability, but for simple fun and affection.
    So, I’m still thinking 6 total songs for Adam, maybe 7, 4 or 5 of them him alone with Queen. That’s my guess, and I’m sticking to it.
    Common sense says that Brian and Roger care so much for Adam, why would they want to take away from their possible only performance together here????

    Oy , guise, please….they advertised this from the get-go as Queen plus Adam Lambert PLUS special guests.

    We didn’t know who the special guests would be until now.

    I posted this on the previous page, but here it is again. Adam tweeted this months ago. He loved it. It is Nate Reuss and Pink.

    Sorry, just trying to add some perspective here.

    You all can have your own opinions. But, this was put out months ago about the ” special guests.” No, it’s not Bowie.

    I’m just so happy with all the talk about this show. Everyone at work was talking, all the young kids ( under 30 LOL ) and they all knew about Adam and Queen. All of them. That’s a great sign for me.

    And Fun is current and popular.

    mmmmm, not sure what to think..I too would prefer Adam on his own with Queen, and nobody but him should ever sing Somebody to Love, that was one of my favourite performances from Hammersmith. Could do without FBG, or WATC and WWRY…..
    I could put up with Fun coming on for one song, but not to be there the whole time, if that happens the press on them will certainly overshadow Adams role.
    saying that I like Fun, and like Nate Ruess’s voice (he isn’t anything like Freddie in looks and sounds), I have a few of their songs on my ipod, and my 19 yo likes him, so thats cool that the younger generation like him.
    I have never been a Bowie fan so have not been holding out for him joining them…but that would have been a much bigger coup press and career wise I think.

    Agree with your posts mils.
    Adam’s voice is unparalleled. He will surely hold his own, and put on a show no matter what he sings or who he is paired with. Nate (from FUN) is popular now, singing with him will only bring more exposure and maybe more cred to Adam.
    Let’s celebrate the fact that he will be appearing on iHeart, period, and soak it in for what it is: another opportunity for exposure.
    I have faith that he’ll put on a show to remember for all who attend / view.

    Having a Queenbert concert now here.

    Nobody will ever be better than Adam with Queen. It’s a perfect pairing. But, for the show tomorrow, he’ll need to share the stage. It’ll be OK. It’ll be fine. It’ll be great PR.

    I’m soooo excited for iheart radio music festival tomorrow. I can’t wait to see what Adam is going to wear, what hair, Melvin or not.

    Queen + Adam Lambert will be amazing as usual. With other special guests it will be awesome and fun (no pun intended). The more the merrier.
    It will be hilarious if Adam asks the audience, “Are you having fun?”
    More pimping others … My boy!! Grin

    Adam will be up there with different artists. More fans and more people to see and to love.
    I think the audience will go there for the music and a good time, not who is singing better than whom.
    Adam will be a topic at the water coolers the next morning. He is a media sweetheart. He is a media magnet and he has talents to back up. Whatever Adam does the media will cover it … we’ve seen … parking, shopping, the praises of LMD, clubbing, putting wigs on, sings some snippets … etc.
    If not with Queen, I doubt if iheart radio will give a frikking F about Adam. They hardly play his own music.

    Anyway tomorrow there will be plenty of photos and videos. YAY..
    And our lucky ALL’ers will share their wonderful experience with us. I CAN’T WAIT.

    I love Queen. I am picky about Queen. I really like Fun and think Nate has a great voice. I am fine with all of that. I DO NOT want Fun, the band, to play with Queen. They will SUCK in comparison. That is my bias and my opinion. I agree with risky that it makes no sense that they will play the way Peter Post said.
    I want Adam to have the spotlight with his performance, not the fact that Nate “finally got to live his dream and sing with Queen”. But that is selfish and petty of me and I get that.
    I am excited and so looking forward to the show and think it will be amazing. What if they do switch it up and Adam comes out and sings with Muse and sings Soaked. If they do stuff like that it would be so cool. Anyway, I am so happy I am going and can’t wait to meet up with Texas,luval and mmm221!!! VEGAS BABY Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile

    Hi asif I am always awake..usually just lurking. Am happy I get to watch the livestream online later tonight. Don’t care who’s playing with whom. Adam with Queen again in any form is great exposure even though that other guy better sound good with Queen songs or else Adam will show him up as always. ROTFL
    Been playing LMD for several friends and family and they love it! Way cool! I predict a monster hit and the radio djs won’t censor Avicii songs because they play Wake Me Up a lot!
    Ooh. I heard a few more friends of ours are heading over to Vegas from LA and SF later today. Yay! Two of them were in San Diego. I told them some of our peeps would be at Zuri at 5pm. Let’s see if they make it.
    Aely Do you really want to see Avicii at XS? Let me know asap. Those main event DJs usually take the stage about 2am but you have to go in much earlier.
    Wonder if he’ll be there next month when I go back to Vegas?

    On a sadder note, my hubby’s aunt and tlkc’s boss’ mom passed yesterday so it seems I’m off to Toronto for a funeral next week if I can arrange it at work. It’ll be a quick trip so not sure if I can meet up with you All-ers there but will try my very best if even for an hour to see Ron especially! Grin
