A triple threat: live, on CD/MP3 and on your TV! He may not be officially working on new music but we do know that he always has something going on.

    Thank you cwm and ulti for the great links and posts. The 2009 Ford event was one of my Kris/Adam interactions. I always enjoyed how well they played off of each other and shared the spot light.

    Though I have come to appreciate the very sexy and mature allure of Adam’s current look, I still find myself inhaling deeply when faced with his beautiful bare face. How wonderful to know that by a few strokes of the razor you can change your look so dramatically.

    Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend. Sad that summer is coming to an end, but happy that we have some great things ahead of us.

    Hi all, I’ve just spent some lovely days with luval! Yesterday we defied death by playing out survivor and we got lost among wild animals! Terrifying. Today I will hit the road again (if I can get my act together).

    So, if you would like to meet up, let me know at allettieb at gmail dot com. I’ll be heading east first toward Maine and will go south after that. Not sure how far land inward I will go, but I imagine I could visit anything as far west as Wisconsin (and south of there)in the next few months. I’d be up for as short a visit as having coffee, no long term commitment needed! Even if you already contacted me, feel free to do it again, just to make sure Wink

    Interesting, cwm. Love hearing about this behind the scenes stuff.

    Yes, mieps is on the road again. We had a fun couple of days here in Syracuse, NY. Went to the NY State fair. Saw a semi-celebrity there…The Baldwin brothers mom. Sweet lady. Had funnel cake and other bad things. Wink

    Now about our adventure. We went hiking in a local state park here, got sort of lost around a swamp…the wild animals were the American Toad and a squirrel. Great fun though and we did make it back in one piece. Except I knocked my head on a big branch and tripped on a boulder. Oh well!

    Had lots of good food at home & at an Indian Restaurant. Mieps got to see Adam Jr. and my Adamphernalia box. Have quite a bit of yellow and black stuff. Frown Didn’t realize this since I haven’t gone through the box lately.

    A great time was had by all! Yes, do contact mieps if you’d like. This ultimate road trip is really something. She is quite the experienced traveler at this. As she left my house even then she wasn’t sure if she’d go north or east! Can’t wait to see where she turns up! She really gives credence to the “you can do anything you want to do” line. I am jealous!

    Have a safe and wonderful trip, mieps. Monkey misses you already!

    That alphabetized compendium of Adam’s songs is amazing. The only bummer about it is that it hasn’t been updated since October 1, 2012, so includes none of his performances since then, which, of course, means most of his Trespassing shows are missing. Frown I wish he/she had kept it up because it’s pretty cool otherwise.

    Quiet holiday weekend, and cwm’s crickets made me reflective. Big Smile Thought I’d come out of lurkdom long enough to express undying appreciation for all who bring the pics, the news articles, the music vids, the puzzles, the commentary and even the interesting OTs to this wonderful site.

    To Jlurksacto who, because it was so many pages/months ago probably has no memory of even asking whether I was the one in a red top, with red hair at Paso Robles – yep, red everything, except the pants. If it looked to you like my husband and I were really enjoying the show, I can only commend you on your keen powers of observation! Grin

    I did manage to see a lot of the red carpet stream for the VMAs, and was completely taken with the moment when Adam had such a good laugh with the girl who was helping him. Not that it was unusual to see him relate to the “little” people; he’s purportedly always been attitude-free when it comes to dealing with those that are often in the background, or just never noticed. He’s sort of the embodiment of a useful perspective: I am the most worthy, special, wonderful, person in the world – and so is everyone else. This seems illogical, but it has always left me feeling perfectly satisfied that it’s true.

    I just didn't see any other celeb on that stream that gave the time of day to their handlers, unless it was related to their own needs. I know some others here have mentioned something similar about that moment, but when a gif was recently attached by cwm(I think?) it made realize how much I appreciate this quality in Adam.

    Tothebeat – I really liked your post. I agree with you 100% about “attitude-free Adam.” He’s so refreshing. That gif really captured it. I know others have commented on it here, but his relaxed, confident, friendly, and waaaay sexy demeanor on the red carpet stood in such remarkable contrast to JHud next to him, who toddered and postured so uncomfortably the whole time. She looked ridiculously awkward and full of herself compared to him.

    Speaking of gifs, the collage of the bamboo shirt got some folks reminiscing on twitter about the “I want flames coming out of my f*cking head – like little flickers” scene from the Zodiac Show preparations. These gifs were getting lovingly passed around on twitter today. Adam is so funny here.

    IIRC, mils bounced that theory around a while ago too. Seems perfect for Adam, and also a good reason for no info about his role being out.

    Omar Sharif was one sexy man. Rewatched Funny Girl several months ago and was surprised how much chemistry flowed between Barbara and Omar. I don’t know if there was a female under the age of 10 who didn’t have s crush on him during his hay day. Couldn’t sing but I don’t think anyone complained Razz

    it’s so quiet here at the moment….
    have been using this quiet time to watch back over some old videos, have been going through Lexieelamberts AI videos. Never seem to get tired of watching the Idol stuff, and everytime I rewatch it, it strikes me again how lacklustre and bland its been since Adam was on, never seem to get the same audience reactions any more either.

    I’ll take his word on the Eminem songs, thats one singer I can’t stand.

    Loved watching that flaming headdress clip again, so cute when he does the little flickers with his fingers.

    Have woken up with a bit of a sore throat this morning, always seem to get something at the beginning of term.

    On the same page of Rolling Stone that has Adam and Aviici as the number one on their playlist, is also Tears for Fears, and a nod to Shout.

    Adam dines in a restaurant that prominently displays Bowie as art. Much speculation that Bowie will surprise the crowd during the show with Queen in Vegas. Bowie announced a tour to launch in London this morning. Hmmmmm.

    Adam “likes” the Eminem song, with a nod to Billy Squire. Hmmmmm. (( Stroke Me . PLEASE sing this. ))

    The AFTEE shirt has a very similar cut and fit, with different fabric of course. It is a great cut and fit. Especially when unbuttoned a bit. Ahem.

    Adam wanting flames around his head just scares me. Look what flames on Michael Jackson’s head did to him. Just saying.

    All the speculation about Glee, Funny Girl, yes, I did post a long time ago that Adam would be a great Nicky Arnstein. BTW, Omar Shariff is still alive.

    And, did ya’all hear that Darren Criss may be Fiyero in the film about Wicked???? Is there anyt campaign to have people vote for Adam?

    As much as I would love to see Bowie live again I have a feeling the tour rumor is just not true. Have read several articles to that effect.

    Iheart?…have mixed feelings on this. Don’t want Adam upstaged by Bowie or anyone for that matter. Well, maybe ONE song…Under Pressure. But that’s it!

Like a preteen in the bedroom when nobody’s watching. I always admire people who have the guts to be so free even if it sometimes comes down on the side of ridiculous.

    As to musicals as films, I will admit, I love Mamma Mia, its a real feel good movie.
