As summer draws to a close, the fall season heats up with appearances by Adam at the iHeartRadio Music Festival with Queen, on the new album “True” by Avicii and on the new season of “Glee”. A triple threat: live, on CD/MP3 and on your TV! He may not be officially working on new music but we do know that he always has something going on.

    Wow, on roadtrip and still first. Amazing. Hi all from Bellville, Il. Across the Mississippi from St Louis. Hot & humid but supposed to cool some tomorrow. I HOPE. Nice pic selections AL! Thanks to all that made suggestions.

    I just looked at that link about famous redheads that ulti posted. Aside from the fact that the “ginger” photo was photoshopped, DO NOT GO TO THE COMMENTS SECTION if you want your blood pressure to stay down. It I full of venomous homophobic bile that I haven’t seen in a long time (with one jealous Durbin fan thrown in for good measure). I guess that with all the love he has been getting lately I forgot that this still exists. What was even more disturbing was that many of those comments got a number of “thumbs up” and only a couple of comments were “hidden due to low rating”

    I was just wondering last night, if Adam may have gone to Burning Man this weekend? Saturday night’s, the big event of it’s namesake.

    Anyone hear anything? Adam’s been pretty quiet this weekend.

    We were just talking about that fan vid here a couple of months ago. It is very old, from the Idol tour, probably the first I ever saw, and still one of my favorites!

    The concert reviewer for MTV put it best: “As far as stage presence goes, he can’t be beat. A thousand Lady Gagas could have descended on Downtown Los Angeles singing Madonna tunes while making out with Britney Spears, and I still don’t think a single audience member would have been able to look away from Adam’s riveting onstage antics.” Awesome Adam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I’ve watched a few clips from this years concert…so boring, bland and vanilla, no energy, no screams…..no underwear!!!!!

    AL- Thanks for the assortment of gorgeous pictures. I love them all, but especially the one at the top with that megawatt smile. It captures Adam’s radiant beauty perfectly.

    ulti, I am having a problem with the YouTube videos in the links that you sent from the Ford event and from the St. Louis concert. The vids start playing, and it says how long they are, usually a few minutes, and all of a sudden, after about 15-20 seconds the vid ends and it shows that it is over and it was just so many seconds long. I tried some other YouTube videos and didn’t have that problem so I don’t know if it is my computer. Is anyone else having the same problem? It is very frustrating. I will try it on a different server and see if the same thing happens.

    ETA. Very strange. Went to Google Chrome and tried it from there and everything was fine, so it must be a problem with IE.

    Was just watching the news about “Molly”, formerly known as Ecstasy, and how it is used even more now, causing deaths, and I swear they played an Aviici fan vid with Wake Me Up in the background.

    Hope this doesn’t backfire in any way on either him or Adam.

    It’ll just make security even tighter at concerts.

    Don’t get me wrong, I feel bad about the kids that died. Ecstasy is a drug. Kids just will never understand…

    Hi ALL, I have been away a couple days tucking in my youngest son as a freshman in college. Just wanted to follow up on my August thread post where I thought this judging panel might return the focus to the contestants instead of the judges. I agree with the poster that Jlo is all about her, but for some reason I think that Harry will neutralize this with his energy and his technical knowledge and advice and plain honest critiques. Of course Jlo will perform this season, just as I am sure Harry and Keith will too. That is fine.

    Then about my comment about Adam being polarizing – no question that he will draw attention to the judges if he guest judges, but the polarizing part was about the fact that for some reason, not necessarily because he is gay, the fans of other snowflakes cannot stop themselves from expressing negative comment about Adam. So there will be fan wars and the defensive Adam fans will do their thing and encourage the trolls and it will blow up. Although all media will be posting about Adam just to get the hits, but the fan warring will get tiresome. So I am glad Adam is not part of the permanent panel for many reasons, but a one-off guest judging show, or even a recurring mentoring role could benefit everyone and avoid overmuch fan warring. But you know there is going to be the comments about how come he is back mentoring/judging when the winner that year and other years has not been back in a similar capacity, or another runner-up like Clay, that has sold much more albums, bla bla.

    Soccermom – Don’t believe Adam’s prospects should be truncated because fans on some blogs are still in thrall to 2009. The larger Idol audience, IMO, is little aware of these petty little wars and would simply see a popular entertainer doing a fine job as a judge of talent.

    If fans and non-fans want to have it out on a blog, easy to go elsewhere.
