September finds blond Adam back in the US after a busy August touring Japan and Australia. What’s in store for us this month? A third single announcement? Confirmation about Idol judges (is Adam one of them?!)? More speculation of a Queen+Adam tour or possibly an actual Trespassing tour? Will he add more shows in the coming months? Even Adam’s hairdresser does not know for sure. So while we wait, continue to chat away about anything and everything Adam related. Enjoy!

    I saw the full lenght documentary movie about BM. Very interesting. What an enterprise!

    You know, I had so many videos in my head that I wanted to throw out there in response to the “Adam doesn’t connect with his audience” comment. This one was way up high on my list. As a matter of fact, IMO I feel it belongs on our Top 16 list somewhere….

    Don’t care about the stupid Idol show anymore, but, unfortunately, Adam wants the job and it’s driving me nuts that now I have to care about it. If he didn’t want it, would probably never look at it again. Well, talking to myself here – posters at Idol think Enrique’s got it. Damn, don’t want Adam disappointed – hurts my heart.

    ‘Morning. I just saw MJ’s post and I think I was part of that equation. I commented on the idea of Clay as a judge by saying that he was a popular contestant on Apprentice (too nice to be a judge.) A Glambert implied I was a Claymate (not) and characterized my comment as “just a fan opinion”. I responded by explaining myself and the Glambert accused me of mis-representing my initial statement. Another fan posted our comments side-by-side and clearly took my side.

    All of that is gone this morning. Plus, I am a poster who just came back, has been posting a lot and am masquerading as an even-handed generalist (LOL).

    She must be happy with the activity and hoping to keep us. I can see why she would be ambivalent about Adam. Lots of hits but lots of stress.

    Hope Idol is monitoring the activity.

    Stopped over at mj’s. I’ve only posted 7 times since ALL started and I have 119 likes! I must be saying something right. And I see jlurksacto’s post is still there about Adam.

    So there was something in the New York Post about Enrique getting the job? Thought I saw this in a comment on mj’s. He does and Idol is done IMO. Two mealy mouth judges…Urban & Iglasius a wack job and a diva.

    Wish I had jlurk’s confidence.

    I was just over there and MJ offers up NY Post article with a massive grain of salt – she thinks it’s a retread of really old news.

    The NY Post article actually says Enrique doesn’t want it. Also, Enrique’s fan site posted it yesterday. Imagine if Adam’s site did the same thing? We would take it as coming directly from RCA/Adam. There were 20 comments from fans who agree with this decision. Only one fan wants him to take Idol.

    One of my posts got 23 likes in less than an hour yesterday and I’m pretending to be an on-the-fence fan. Lot’s of traffic.

    I just posted something like this over there too….I think JLO has been talking to Enrique and telling him to take the job. Tons of money and pretty much nothing to do. He has to get money in his pocket because I’ll bet she won’t be touring anymore for him to open and he can’t be a solo tour act in this economy to generate funds.

    I really really hope this does not happen.

    HK Fan I’ve been liking you over there, too. I wish I didn’t care so much about Adam being rejected, too. I am slightly mentally ill over this at the moment. Can’t wait until it is over, either way.

    I am so glad I don’t know anyone going to auditions regularly. Feeling someone else’s pain sucks.

    Actually Idol is going to be pretty much a non-stop grind now due to the delay in starting. Seven cities X at least two days of looking-animated for the cameras while a cattle call of contestants comes through, plus two days involving flights back and forth. That kills October and half of November. Then right into Hollywood week and three sets of auditions as they winnow them to Top 30.

    Probably lots of meetings while they stack up the final choices. Then January is full of promo work on TV and radio, which is part of the judges job.

    One of my friends has a theory that Enrique’s lack of interest is due to J-Lo telling him all about the hard work.

    Plus Enrique will have to move. He loves Miami, apparently.

    I still think the $$$$$ will lure him over. It’s only a few months. He’ll go back to Miami with big big money in his pocket. He’s 37 yrs old. And Adam is too old?

    I’m waiting to hear about the new single from Adam too. And for most of us, if it is Trespassing, it won’t be much of a surprise. Kind of anti-climatic. I’ll be curious as to what the public will think. We’ve been listening to it non-stop since May 15th (?). IF radio stations play it, and they probably won’t, I hope it connects. It’s a great song and should have been the first single.

    re Trespassing: Should have been the first single IMHO. Distinctive, fun, ties the album to the single, Adam does a great job doing it live. Of course I have no idea how it would go over with the general public, but we have learned that boring (sorry!) (BTIKM, NCOE) is not the way to go.
    Still love this September pic. It has “I’m sexy and I know it” written all over it.

    Lol on the Clint Eastwood comments. Jlurksacto is the wind beneath my wings in this whole Idol stress-out. It is entirely possible that Enrique is not in the mix at all. Smoke and mirrors as jlurksacto says. Not a peep out of his camp or from his fans. They couldn’t care less.

    MJ hasn’t got a clue either. I do believe Nicki and Keith’s contracts are held up over Coke/Pepis/Voice issues. The stars have agreed in principle.

    Out cycling and just saw a jogger in a great T-Shirt: “I’d rather be smoking.”
