Jlurksacto, I had the same thoughts as you regarding promo for TS – that Adam might partially fund it. Didn’t he put some of his money in GNT? (at least that investment paid off royally)..
Maybe he got fed up with his label ideas and decided to do things his way. I couldn’t believe when he announced his third single, after first two didn’t work..

Hi everyone! I’m back from my vacay. I haven’t caught up at all.
What have I missed since August 30th?
Gotta go do some laundry and scrape off the sunscreen and sand from my back from vacation self.
Why is Adam tweeting about bananas? I did check his twitter, no blogs yet.
Was that a covert message about what to do with the Japanese Tresspassing bananas after the show? Isn’t that fattening? Wasn’t he supposed to be de-puffing after Australia and Japan?
BTW. Hubby did like TSP and Map and By The Rules. But, after two listens, we were on Adele, Amy Winehouse and others the rest of the trip.

mils – that story about your husband is just marvelously funny – “What’s going on in his pants?” (Did you ever ask him what he meant? – lol). And, “too handsome for Queen” – does your husband mean he should be rougher looking? Actually, Freddie looked pretty sometimes – glammy. Great story.
Ultimathule, since my hubby is not from America, he didn’t see a lot of music videos, TV was scarce even into the 80’s for him. He grew up dirt poor. But, radio was huge, especially music from the states and UK. He loved Queen, and really didn’t know much about how Freddie looked. He always imagined him as more gritty than he actually was.
Oh. And he literally meant, “what was going on in those pants.” He noticed what we all have known for years. I’m still chuckling about it.

mils LOL great story! How did you ever keep a straight face? Funny he thinks he is too handsome for Queen. My sons comment about Adam and Queen is that his voice is too good for Queen, too clear. He thinks it needs to be grittier to fit with Queen.

OMG rs, I love that video. Trespassing is a fun, catchy song but it’s also a protest song and I hope the video captures that as well as the fun. It could have been the theme song of the Occupy movement last spring. What were they doing but trespassing on Wall Street?

Someone made a good point on the Adam thread at Mj’s yesterday. I think it was Teri63 who posts wonderful things here. It’s that possibly the general public is not even aware that Adam has already had two singles off his new album. If radio would play Trespassing it would seem like the first one!

Someone here at work said they went to the season 11 Idol tour here in Syracuse Tuesday night and said the place was half full. Only about 2500 people. Sad. We discussed Idol for a few minutes and out of the blue she said “Adam Lambert would be a great judge”. She said she had not heard that he was even in the running. I believe her.

That is really sad, luval – a bit surprising since Philip has what I’ve heard is the most successful Idol coronation song ever. I’ve only been to one Idol tour concert (bet you all can guess which one), and it looked like a sell-out. It seemed like the majority of those there were screaming their faces off for Adam!
Just watched the video of Mariah’s NFL performance last night – what a joke!!! Seriously, that was all fluff and no substance. Although I’m getting really tired of Kelly C, I couldn’t help but think how much better she would’ve been singing “Stronger”! (In my wildest dreams, I would’ve loved to hear Adam/Queen performing WWRY – maybe next season!).

I do need to share a vacation story. I was in Door County. It’s referred to as the Cape Cod of the Midwest. Honestly, if you haven’t been there or heard of it, please Google it. It is just beautiful, more beaches than any county in the USA. Forests, parks, sand dunes, caves, sailing, kayaking, hiking, shopping galore, no commercial chains allowed, full of art and artists. Mom and pop places, art galleries everywhere, music festivals, several playhouses, wineries, just an overload for the senses.
Not to mention farm markets, fresh produce, cherries, pies, jellies, and some of the best ice cream you’ve ever had anywhere.
Anyway, now that I’ve earned my travel agent commission, I wanted to share an experience I had at a mini-art festival. We happened upon it way up in the most northern town, Gill’s Rock, there were only about ten vendors, and I had just purchased a gorgeous hand-blown black and white glass pendant from one artist, and was strolling the area with hubby, when I saw a vendor with his back turned to me.
He was wearing a t-shirt with many names on it. At the top was Tyler Clementi. I just knew he was either a donator or someone with Trevor. So, I struck up a conversation with him. As he turned around, his shirt was covered with buttons for “It Gets Better.” We had the most wonderful conversation. I told him I’ve donated several times, and he was so touched. He wanted to know how I had heard of the Trevor Project. I mentioned Adam Lambert. I told him he seems to be becoming quite a role model and inspiration for so many. Now, this man looked to be about 60 years old. But, he did nod his head and appreciate that Adam is having an impact, especially on younger kids.
We talked about the Tyler Clementi tragedy at length. He just seemed to be so touched that someone knew about it. I was also touched that he was indicating that now that the case is done, that people forget, and that kids are still dying every day at their own hands due to LGBT bullying. He works closely with suicide prevention hotlines.
The comment he made that sticks in my mind was “I am It Gets Better.”
I’m going to donate again. His name is Norm. He is such a wonderful spirit.
Something I forgot to mention, he’s working on a photo collage art project that reminded me of the Aids Quilts, that represents LGBT suicides. It broke my heart.

As you know, my sister lives in your area and loves Door County for all the reasons that you mentioned. I’m glad you enjoyed this vacation.
Oh. On a lighter note. Happy birthday to all you late August fans out there. I was pre-occupied with emptying my nest, then feeling sorry for myself, then packing for my get-away, and forgot you all.
Texas, I’m glad to see you are okay after sending off your daughter. We are adjusting. One day at a time. Knowing that the boys are out of their minds with happiness helps too.

So, some peeps on other sites are saying that Adam started following Project Runway, then shortly became a judge. He evidently recently started following Fashion Police. Yep, he is now on one of their episodes. He also recently started following American Idol………………..
I’m hoping with fingers crossed that this all follows suit.
