    I loved the measured and dignified statement. It hit all the right notes:
    1. This is what we were doing
    2. This is the response by the attendant
    3. We were not right to react in the way we did
    4. But our behavior was not wrong.

    Followed by one of the most eloquent statements that I have read in a while:

    No matter how quietly homophobia is whispered, it doesn’t make it any less loud. You can’t whisper hate.

    How does an organization as huge as SWA ensure that all of its employees are on board with the corporate culture? I don’t know. Here, it seems to be the case of “one bad apple”. There may well be others.
    I will want to see what SWA does to address the issue, work to resolve the problem, and respond to Cam and Leisha.

    Possible Adam scoop: Last night a UK DJ ( @djdrifta) tweeted that he was handed an Adam Lambert single to remix. His specialty is a type of music called Drum And Bass. He said that the song was going to be marketed to UK radio. If you look at his tweets and FB page, the guy seems legit. He has been up all night spilling the beans to Glamberts tweeting him, lol.

    It started with this tweet:

    Any fans of @adamlambert and/or UK drum & bass music are in for a MASSIVE treat

    got handed it thru my management; as u can imagine, I grabbed that shit & ran with it!!

    On the type of song:

    the original is upbeat, my remix is speedy gonzalez

    I THINK it’s going to be the next single, so I’m guessing within the next few months…! Making an impact takes time tho, I guess..

    I’ve been assured that there’s gonna be a UK marketing campaign

    I miss emo hair, but I think Adam is not going back to it. He’s too mature for his emo.

    I guess, BB is getting ready to have photo shoots for his new album cover or Video for his single. He wants to look fresh and edgy, I think. Remember ? His GNL DVD, he had his hair shaved. Some camera angles didn’t look flattering at all. Kind of weird mohawk.

    His hair grows fast like weeds anyway … so I’ll stop worrying. Grin

    I just want to say something else about the hair thing.
    Adam is so fortunate to have the type of hair with which he can clearly do whatever he wants. Yes, I would give anything for that type of hair!

    9/26/10 – the Glam Nation Tour plays its second date at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Singapore:

    This outdoor show was unique on the tour in that it was the only time that Adam and company performed in sunshine (show started at 540 PM Singapore time). Looks a bit odd seeing them in daytime lighting.

    The available videos were not great for this show, with Music Again and most of the opening medley missing, and only partials of a few other songs. I also don’t know if there was an encore, no mention of one in the recaps I looked at and no videos after IIHY.

    The glam troupe got a well deserved break after this show, enjoying six days off before the tour continued in Nagoya, Japan on October 3rd. I’m going to enjoy a few days off from producing GNT recaps too lol!

    Only a few more days left for the September thread. I’ll start looking for a photo for the October chat soon. I had hoped that October would see the release of the lead single, but that now seems less likely. I really hope Adam hasn’t waited too long between albums, but I’m getting nervous at this point.

    New episode of Husbands is up…I like the series, actually. I think Cheeks is prettier and funnier in his headshot videos but hope the series does well and turns into a successful DVD at the end of the season. I really like the guy who plays his husband, they are good foils for each other.

    OMG just imagined Adam doing a cameo! Be still my beating heart! <3

    On my notes of the second Singapore show 2010…very very very hot, no costume changes, no encore.

    The hair…I have no words. I want to see a clearer picture. I think everyone is copying Adam’s hair now. The Script were just on DWTS and the lead singer had Adam’s upswept hair. Maybe Adam decided it was time to change it up. Wonder what the twitterers are saying.

    AWW NKD congrats, I can attest that is is the best thing in the world. Our little princess is 2 (and yes she wants to be a princess) and a brother is on the way in Nov.

    Loved Camilla’s response. Very well put. Seems like it is one step forward and two steps back at times with this issue.

    Loved the United breaks guitars videos, clever guys.

    Adam did a interview with Heidi that’s posted now on her AOL site and also a U-Tube. I lost my toolbar with copy and post on it so can’t bring over. I need to work on getting my puter working right. There is also another picture of Adam with his new hair and someone named Jonti “sp” on twitter. Looks better from the front.

    Checked the Wiki entry for Adam – haven’t been there in a while. The first paragraph has him as singer, songwriter, actor, while the window on side has him as musician, songwriter, actor whose instrument is his vocals (is that usual?). Also noted that the LA Times has him as #5 of the Top 120 – Seasons 1-9. The other four? Would guess, Carrie, Kelly, Daughtry, Fantasia? Fun to watch the entry grow.

    Has a great pic with blue? glasses at GLAAD.

    What’s the thing on his right forehead? Just hair?

    So many peeps have written such awesome and wonderful little recaps on THIS THREAD over the past few days, of how they “met” Adam on Idol (or otherwise) and fell in love.

    BUT eywflyer gave us a wonderful new separate thread for thst! And I think that many of us want to be able to find these wonderful recaps to read again, and have all in one place.

    So, PLEASE, fellow peeps, if you wrote a post about how you became a glambert/fell head over heels/tripped and fell into the glitter, PLEASE also carry it over to that thread so we can all find them together and enjoy them over and over!
    Not that we are obsessed or anything, mind you…but these are such great stories. So fun to see something of ourselves in them and flail vicariously!

    And I should think that it would be fine to post here also, so that we don’t have to keep multiple threads open on our screens at all times – but once posted here, please copy and carry them over there, too, to add to the archive? It would be a shame to lose them in the literally thousands of posts on the monthly threads.

    4) Watched Gleeeee tonight. Chris Colfer now has Adam’s updo.

    5) Close inspection of photos from last night reveals the strong possibility of multiple new piercings. I have nothing to say about the shaving. You all know how I feel about the shaving. Please refer to my posting at Home Planet. Ahem.

    Did anybody see the Today show this morning. It broke my heart. They had on the parents of the teen who killed himself that had made a IGB video. The one named Jamie who Gaga and Adam tweeted about. They were wearing It Gets Better shirts, NOH8 pins and buttons and Gaga bandanas.

    I was mesmerized by their ability to communicate so well, by their grief and by their ability to put out the NOH8 message.

    I sat there with tears dripping, and had to gather myself and go to work.

    I’m not gonna forget this for a long time. Very poignant and moving. I only hope that it helps stop the bullying.

    Ok, I’m back. Spent the evening with my son watching an absolutely awful Korean Indie horror film.

    Loved the Heidi interview and thought they had great chemistry together.

    I know that hair is no big deal in the scheme of things and it is his hair to do with what he wants and it will grow and it isn’t all about my pleasure but ……….

    Oh well, this just once again shows that I need a life.
