It’s time for our September chat thread. Hopefully this will be the final relatively quiet month before Adam’s new single is released. As always, please keep the posting guidelines in mind, and welcome any newcomers. Enjoy!

Oh I how I would love to hear him sing “I’m the Greatest Star.”

Let’s you and I dream about this as we curl up and rest our heads tonight. I’d love to hear Adam sing the lyric:

“Have you guessed yet, who’s the best yet”.

According to TV by the numbers Project Runway was down this week.

Just means a lot of poor unfortunate souls missed out on seeing Flava Bone ROCK this show.

I am liking X factor also. I soooo miss Simon on Idol.

  3. milwlovesadam says:

Ron, I love the way you think.

BTW. If you haven’t guessed it, Funny Girl is one of my top favorite musicals.

Do you watch Glee? I hope you do, and I hope you watch that video I mentioned of Idina and Lea singing. It is simply gorgeous. The episode looks like a real tear jerker.

  4. glambotgram says:

    Why am I in moderation?

  5. milwlovesadam says:

How could PR be down? Where were all the Glambots? Weren’t they watching?

More people need AT&T. You can record multiple shows simultaneously. And, from my understanding, it all counts toward ratings.

  6. Kradamour says:

glambotgram – in moderation??? but you are so moderate in your posts! Smile That list of stats must have triggered something.

mils, re AT&T…not sure I agree that more peeps should have it. I spent the equivalent of almost two entire days last week trying to get a cell phone line for my son. We have had (another carrier) for years but there is very poor coverage where he goes to college, so I got him a single line with AT&T. Bah. It was like a bad and bizarre nightmare. Thwarted at every turn. Peeps apologized over and over…lovely peeps. I told them that they should work for (other carrier) so that they could make customers happy instead of apologizing lol. One of them said she already had an application in and hoped to make the move!

  7. dcglam says:

Adam just tweeted that he is back in LA!

  8. milwlovesadam says:

    OK. One more.

I’d like to hear him sing this lyric:

“Who is all ginger and jazz?”

    (( Giggling here ))

  9. milwlovesadam says:

Kradamour, sorry for your troubles, but, I am referring to UVerse for Cable TV through AT&T. It is amazing.

  10. milwlovesadam says:

Hope Sauli is over his flu. Wouldn’t want our boy catching a bug.

Which concert were we so concerned that he was sick? Remember he walked out mid-song because he had “plegma” in ze tubes? And we were swapping chicken soup recipes?

Oh, we got in trouble for that!!

  11. Ron says:

because he had “plegma” in ze tubes?

Oh Cabaret, it’s Cabaret, oh Cabaret …

Still on the same page with you, mils

But going to lay my head down for a little while. Wink

  12. nkd says:

According to TV by the numbers Project Runway was down this week.

It is premiere week for lots of shows. PR starts in the summer when ratings would be higher, because other shows are in reruns. It also is available online, and is replayed before the next episode. I don’t think it reflects badly on Adam. Too bad it didn’t show a boost though. I know my dvr was working overtime last night. Smile

  13. nkd says:

This song is funny– but really good– who is it? …and yeah…nice to have a new vid with some updated footage. Those hips don’t lie…sexy is an understatement. He’s like the heat at the center of the Earth that keeps all life on this planet alive.

This was a comment on another site under the Sexy and I Know It video montage that came out a few days ago. So funny!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NugSZvblf9A&feature=player_embedded

Just in case anyone missed it, or, hey watch it again! Wink

  14. nkd says:

OK, this may be corner worthy but I can’t resist. I am laughing so hard, I’m crying!
This is LMFAO’s video of Sexy and I Know It.
Speedo warning!!!!!!!!! Junk in the speedo warning!!!!!!!!!!
Def tigger action in the speedos!!!!!!!!!!!!
Watch at your own taste! I was lmao! Grin Grin Grin

wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle Wink LOL

These are the guys that gave Adam the pink undies that said “Don’t Judge Me”.
It was at the Miami Jingle Ball 2009 after the AMA’s.

  15. adamized says:

Well nkd was not what I should have watched before my coffee. Pretty much lost my appetite but very funny in a bizarre sort of way.

  16. luval says:

I think that video is stupid. Not sexy at all IMO. And not even a good song. Again IMO. They started to sing that song on SYTYCD then switched to party rock.

It reminds me of New Orleans at OZ…the bar we all went to after the show. The guys were on the bar dancing in their speedos. Most people were not even paying attention. LOL. Didn’t like the fan video with Adam either. It’s really just the song. Hate it! And I’m not grumpy this morning!!!

eta..and btw the guy with the afro is Barry Gordy’s son and is 36 years old!! Nice goin’ Dad must be proud. Smile

  17. glambotgram says:

Yeah not crazy about the video but I would not be sad to see our boy in a speedo. I guess it is all about the package umm packaging.

  18. adamized says:

I don’t know. It is hard for me to find anyone in a speedo attractive unless they are performing in the olympics.

Adam is just fine in tight paints of any color or design. Sometimes leaving things to the imagination is a lot sexier than the real thing. Notice I did not use “s around the words things and thing. Absolutely pure thoughts this morning.

luval – you grumpy? Perish the thought.

  19. luval says:

Haha Adamized. I’m surely not grumpy and I’m definitely not Debbie Downer and certainly not worried about Adam’s 2nd album. Smile

  20. nkd says:

Sorry guys! I loved the fan video montage with Adam.
I thought the LMFAO vid was hilarious. I’m thinking stupid was what they were going for. My daughter asked me if I had seen them on Leno performing that song, so I was interested and looked it up.
I apologize if the humor wasn’t shared. I put warnings! Smile
I did mean to include not before breakfast! Wink Or during!

  21. nkd says:

But do ya like my new avi?!! It’s OoL Adam.

  22. luval says:

nkd…you should be sorry…JUST KIDDING!!!love your new avi! Ste. Agathe…sigh. Wish tonight was July 29th. And that’s what makes the world a wonderful place…that we all have different views on videos Smile. Will check out Leno. Where is that video shown? VH1 video countdown? LOL As you may know I love LMFAO Party Rock!

Haha Adamized. I’m surely not grumpy and I’m definitely not Debbie Downer and certainly not worried about Adam’s 2nd album. Smile

    lol full disclosure! Smile

Dunno…I thought it was def funny in a train-wreck sort of way. Made me think of Weird Al. LMFAO is like its own parody and gotta admire them for putting it all out there (ok bad choice of words I am thinking/typing fast) and taking full advantage of their 15 minutes! but yeah I kinda wish I hadn’t seen it before breakfast. Rolls Eyes

(Now the polite part: Thank you nekkid!)

  24. JOJOSIE says:

Nkd, that was hilarious, pure comedy not meant to be sexy and it certainly wasn’t. You wonder sometimes who comes up with these things. I couldn’t help laugh the whole time even tho I’m this straight laced Adam fan.

  25. Kradamour says:

And to clear out our eyes/block out the previous images, here is the Party Rock official vid:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQ6zr6kCPj8

ETA: this is bizarre, but does anyone but me see “Charleston”-style dance moves in this?
Everything old really IS new again LOL!

  26. luval says:

hahaha Leno…didn’t think there would be speedos but there they were. The funniest part was at the end when Leno shook their hands…well, not every hand. Smile

But do ya like my new avi?!! It’s OoL Adam.

I do love your new avi, nkd. Great choice! From your recap, I know how special this moment in time was for you in Sainte Agathe. Wink

  28. nkd says:

There is a making of the S&IKI video on youtube. They were in Venice Beach and commented on the diverse group of people that live or frequent there, all the guys, all shapes and ages, in speedos, etc…that just think they are sexy and own it!
It was very late, but I was crying I was laughing so hard. I mean c’mon, the spikes on the crotch! Grin But I was a goner long before the spikes! Grin

  29. Kradamour says:

Oooooooooh the new avi, nekkid! Love it!
I wish that if we clicked on an avi it would show up in a little bit bigger format. Don’t think that is possible, though.

  30. nkd says:

dcglam, you also have a new avi from PR. Gorgeous!
Yes, that moment was very special. I look at my avi and just ahhhh!

  31. luval says:

SNL Season opener tonight. Oh how I wish Adam would be on.

I am not surprised about the numbers on PR. Here and other sites have said how bad the designers are this season. I felt bad for the band. Last season they were not good either(IMO) and the winner’s clothes were just not stylish. I think people gave up watching and I don’t think it would be advertised on a non-Lifetime station. And as someone else said there were many new shows premiering.

I really think numbers would have been much better had the season started off great. Worries me a bit about the future of the show. But I guess any series can have a hiccup or two.

  32. nkd says:

I’m thinking of my reaction to this LMFAO video and how I laughed, and if I had seen it a few years ago, how I may have been repulsed by it instead of enjoying it for the comedy which is intended. Following Adam has loosened me up a bit! Smile

  33. luval says:

I think Adam could do OoL on SNL. The song is so out there everywhere. Even on the Majors and Minors interview the interviewer brought it up and said what a beautiful song it was. I really think it could be selling! Why why why isn’t it legally out there? I know why.

  34. Kradamour says:

I’m thinking of my reaction to this LMFAO video and how…Following Adam has loosened me up a bit! Smile

Literally following, nekkid! It has really been the meeting up with other fans here and at the concerts that has had a huge effect on a lot of peeps, I think. Adam is our Pied Piper! Smile

  35. nkd says:

luval, better timing for Adam on SNL would be after the single has been out a few weeks and just before the album drops.
Oh, I hope the single is good and is a big hit!!!

  36. Kradamour says:

Re OOL…okay, maybe I am really, really stupid, but when I heard that song at Ste Agathe I didn’t even think about same-sex love. I heard a song about any sort of love that is condemned by society: interracial, same sex, different ages, ethnicities…it is a lot more global than we are giving it credit for. I have dated a black man and been hated for it, and been told I would go to hell. I have dated a Jewish man, and been hated for it. My son was pressured for being involved with a Chinese girl. So maybe my experience colored my listening. But there is nothing in those lyrics that would limit being an outlaw to being gay.
I think the message is very global and would be successful if presented that way. Heck, in the 60’s Janis Ian’s “Society’s Child” was a huge hit and that was 40+ years ago. And I don’t think that Adam’s personal message would be diluted by expanding it to embrace love that is condemned for any irrelevant reason based in hatred or misunderstanding.

  37. luval says:

Yeah, you are correct nkd. Now you’re starting to sound like me.

haha tried to blockquote but it didn’t work.

kradamour…thought the same thing when I was listening to OoL at Ste. Agathe and afterwards. I asked my brother who is gay, what he thought and he felt the same as us. But I asked a gay friend of mine and he only “heard” the gay reference and didn’t think it could mean anything else.

  38. luval says:

aaagh…block quote is a mess. Won’t ever try it again!!

  39. nkd says:

But there is nothing in those lyrics that would limit being an outlaw to being gay.

Absolutely Kradamour! I think our listening to OoL knowing it was personal to Adam, flavored it’s content. But you are right, it could apply to many situations. It’s just beautiful and so heartfelt.

  40. dcglam says:

So maybe my experience colored my listening.

This happens all the time when we read books and listen to music. We tend to include a little bit of ourselves in our interpretation of the written or spoken words.
And I think this is exactly what Adam would want…. Wink

  41. luval says:

Adam says he’s a dog person, right?

  42. cwm says:

nekkid — that LMFAO Sexy and I Know It video was hilarious. Thanks (I think) for sharing. Wink

luval — OMG that dog video had me in stitches and tears! SO FUNNY! Gotta go show that to the kids!

(I’ll pass on showing them the LMFAO vid, though Wink )

Hi, everyone. Just dropping in to mention a few tidbits.
First, nice mention of Adam in the Miami Herald this morning, both the paper and online, with gorgeous pic!
    http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/09/23/2421678/adam-lambert-out-and-about-in.html
Turns out when Ocean Drive Mag saw him during their fashion show, our BB was doing one of his favorite things: SHOPPING at Neiman Marcus in Bal Harbour (boy likes fine things as we all know lol).

Also, speaking about how personal experience colors one’s views, an incredible turn of events for a Republican Florida congresswoman! Turns out that Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen has become the first Republican member of Congress to co-sponsor the Respect for Marriage Act, which would end the shameful Defense of Marriage Act and allow legal gay marriage in all 50 states. No surprise, she has a transgender child, a daughter Amanda, who is now a man named Rodrigo, and is a field organizer for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. This was done very quietly, so I’m curious to see the reaction of the “party” down the road.

And then, this hilarious post on the MJs thread about Adam exec producing his album:

    Awwwww.

I don’t know about everyone else, but I feel a great deal of compassion right now for the anti-adam Idol fans out there. These must be terrifying times for them indeed; what if Adam does become the superstar they seem to be so afraid of? Kudos to those few brave ones who appear to be working through their fear by participating in Adam-related topics! Sort of like immersion therapy for phobias, I guess.

  46. Kradamour says:

Thanks, jlurks…how I wish that I had seen Adam on that stage!!!

“scandalicious”…yup, that about describes our Flava Bone. Smile Great word!

ETA: okay, so I’ve watched this a few times today…gotta say, Adam has grown a lot since then. More presence, the swagger is more natural now…the expression more sophisticated…and the voice richer. (not due to the quality of the video)
He occupied the stage in Wicked, but now he OWNS it. Smile

Also, did we notice that the shirt is pretty much the same one that he abandoned on the GNL tour? Interesting. I need a life…

  47. Kradamour says:

This is such a wonderful old interview, at Grammys, Adam talking about his new album…how much he is going to write, what the theme of the album will be, what fame means…

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LG62QbIQ5Bc&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

Interesting to hear it in the context of what we have heard/learned since.

And this vid from the same guy, a collection of Gridlock 2009 interview, red carpet and performance clips, the first time Adam did so many of his songs in one show – a 40 minute set of 10 songs. It’s a primordial GN, love comparing it to what we ultimately saw on the GN stage.

  49. dflowers says:

how I wish that I had seen Adam on that stage!!!

Kradamour I did see Adam in Wicked. Of course I had no idea who he was back then and he was in the chorus being “stage parsley” as we theater folk call ourselves. Really enjoyed the show and I remember thinking that the guy playing Fiero was kinda weak. I would have been awesome if Adam had been filling in that nite but no luck.

  50. Kradamour says:

Ah, dflowers, what might have been!
But I also wonder…if Adam had been the “real” Fiyero, instead of an understudy, would he have still felt the push to leave and move on to becoming a recording artist? Or would he have been sufficiently satisfied with the love he would have gotten on Broadway?
I saw Wicked here a couple of summers ago, right after AI, and Fiyero was weak in that company, too. It’s a tough role.
