    Mils and Luval, that necklace that Adam wore at the Do Something Awards, is available at Nicolina Royale for $225 and in the close up photo it really is very intricate and would really look great on a simple classic black dress. Lots to talk about today with the twitter party and Rico Loves video and rant. I will post later about a happening here in my town. It a really downer and I don’t want to spoil the upbeat mood here tonight.

    LOVED Adam’s twitter party. He makes me smile, and his excitement is so infectious. He has me very intrigued and excited about what music he’s coming up with. I’m ready for funky beats, as well as sublime ballads. And like kradamour said, I love how he gave us a little information, a little excitement, a little personal tidbit, a little silly, a little perspective, and a little wisdom. Perfect.

    9/21/10 – the Glam Nation Tour reaches the end of its four month journey across the United States and Canada, playing the Western Washington Fair in Pullayup. This show closed out the main U.S. leg of the tour, although there were still a couple of dates in Honolulu and a couple of dates in L.A. to come (we didn’t know yet about the LA dates at the time though). This was the largest venue in the U.S. tour, although not the largest crowd (that was at the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa). This show also marked the farewell to Allison Iraheta, as her opening act duties concluded here. I’ve included a video clip of Adam’s farewell to her in the recap:

    A couple of housekeeping items…

    First, in case anyone missed it, here is the link for our first thread for registered site members only, “Glamberts & Recaps”:

    Second, with the next tour now seemingly delayed until well into 2012 (and Adam didn’t seem entirely confident in the twitter party that the tour would even be in 2012), I’m going to hold off on starting the other members only thread for making/sharing concert plans. Just too early at this point.

    That Upcoming Shows widget in the top right corner has said “No concert dates scheduled” for almost 2 months now. Hopefully that will change soon, although I suspect all we will get in the next few months will be a couple of Jingle Balls. I think a couple of one-off “test” concerts similar to Fantasy Springs could happen in the spring though, ahead of the next tour.

    Wow, another 10 days and it’ll be October already! I had hoped that October would see the new single released, but now seems more likely to be in November.

    Dear eywflyer Yes, it appears the Adam’s “delivery” of his second “baby” may be a bit longer than anticipated. Just remember “Your Favorite Things” and then you won’t feel so bad.

    Loved the twitter party. Of course I missed it real time but was happy to see many familiar twitter friends who got to commune with Adam through cyberspace.

    Adam, please remember that it isn’t necessarily healthy to delay delivery too long from the delivery date.

    today’s the first day of autumn I think. Will be getting some pumpkins and cornstalks for my front entryway. I may try to incorporate something “Adam” in them. Not sure how yet. Smile

    Anywhoo. Just looked back at the PooPooYa’allUp thread at MJ’s. 41 pages of comments. We kept that one going until he got to Singapore. So many of us were there. I didn’t read the whole thing , just glanced at it. Glitter showering off his hair, outdoor show with fall in the air, so many of our friends were there. We were so very sad that Glamnation was over. But it wasn’t over. By a long shot. He still had Asia, Australia, Hawaii, and Europe to go. Not to mention LA. But, I don’t think that LA had even been announced yet.

    That poster was so beautiful. I brought it to my M&G in Hawaii, in 8 X 10, and Adam just loved it!! He liked how the eye of horus was over his real eye. I’ve got that baby signed with a silver pen stashed in my Adamphernelia collection.

    PS. I’m loving the opportunity to type “PooPooYa’allUp” again. I don’t know why, but it brings out the Mel Brooks in me!

    I guess things happen everywhere, I live in northeast Iowa in thee conjoined towns with a metro population total of about 120,000 so we’re not big but not just a spot on the road. A 19yr old African American we’ll call “M” who was the step (dance) choreographer and step leader of his church’s award winning Drum and Bugle drill team who’d just completed a hair design course and was enrolled in the local jr college in interior design, and was known in his community as a very warm and loving person and mentor. He was visiting two of his female friends one afternoon. The girls decided to take a walk and M decided to just stay at the house and relax. When the girls came home they saw a vehicle stopped in front of the house and M on the porch. Homophobic slurs were being used to taunt him. The girls raced to his defence and told the taunters to shut up, they didn’t and things escalated into physical violence. The only one of the group that needed medical was M. He had been beaten with a baseball bat and kicked repeatedly while laying on the ground according to eyewitnesses. His injuries were so severe that he was air lifted to the University of Iowa Hospital where he died the next day of severe head trauma. The problem the community and others in the state are having is this is not being treated as a hate crime. Iowa’s laws on this matter seem to be very vague and the police chief is using this as a reason not to purse the hate crime agenda ” two of the participants in this crime had a previous relationship and they feel that M might not have been the original target.” Many folks here are outraged and have held candlelight vigils in memory of M and are trying to change Iowa’s loose laws on hate crimes. They fight to end intolerance and gain acceptance for all is moving but I wish it was going faster. I wish families were more accepting also as M’s family issued the statement that they didn’t believe M was gay. I’m so glad Adam and Sauli also, came from loving and accepting families.

    Please also know that even if the state of Iowa doesn’t keep track of hate crimes, certain associations such as the Anti Defamation League does. It tracks all kinds of hate crimes, not just anti-Semitism.

    What is also interesting is that I just saw an article that linked a rise in child abuse, spousal abuse and aggressive behavior with the downturn in the economy. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if the incidence of hate crimes were also on the rise. It’s no excuse, hate happens. Sad to say.

    jojosie…I don’t even know what to say. I think you know that I went to college in Iowa and it hurt dreadfully when I read your account…M being both gay and black, was two targets of hate in a state that wrestles with acceptance of minorities. There is so much good in Iowa – especially in the college communities, of which there are so many, more colleges per capita than anyplace else in the US – but there is also an underbelly whose hate is powered by fear and ignorance.
    I am home alone today. I am going to shut down the computer now and just cry for a little bit, and then pray.
