Summer vacay is over and it’s back to business for QAL (Brian, Roger, Adam, Spike, Neil and Tyler) as they head out on their 2023 Fall USA tour. First stop is Baltimore and it wraps up in LA in November.

    Hi!

    Last night’s dinner couldn’t have been more enjoyable.

    But first, Northern Spirit and rs stopped by at my place for a brief visit. It was a lovely time together before Northern Spirit drove the three of to the pre-concert dinner.

    It was more than wonderful to see our dear riskylady and hubby, Floridagirl, and the one and only Cher.

    While the restaurant Le Papillon’s menu offers many different crepe offerings (in fact, the menu is full of crepe Grin ), there are other choices and I opted for the French Onion Soup and Steak & Frites. Both were perfection. It was over much too soon.

    While I didn’t go to the concert, I was able to listen to a pristine audio on the internet owing to a dear Toronto friend. In my opinion, I don’t think that I’ve heard Adam deliver perfect … perfect! vocals from beginning to end. He didn’t pull any punches, didn’t shy away from hitting those top notes and sustaining them. In fact, he exceeded all of them! I can’t count how many times I silently thought, “OMG” or “Wow! Incredible”. He was in his element last night and the crowd was roaring with approval throughout.

    I’d like to post photos of the dinner but I won’t violate anyone’s privacy. I will however try to post of a candid shot of me without concern of violating myself. Wink It’s a candid shot while waiting for the elevator in my building to begin the drive to the restaurant. Just a tad over-the-top for dinner but I decided what the hell. Own it and go for it.

    Luval, rs, cgesq and I were at the second MSG show last night. It was another great show. Adam was in fine form, dancing around and hamming it up at his hilarious best. The audience was really enthusiastic and sang beautifully during Love of My Life. The only downside was the appearance of the dreaded nose ring at the beginning of the show. But thanks to negative nose ring vibes sent from a certain unnamed someone in the audience, he removed it before long! I’m on my way to my daughter’s house in Rhode Island now. I’m taking her to the Boston show tomorrow.

    Farewell to New York City – always a bit of a wrench for me to leave – so many great memories. This time I think we played two of our best shows ever – always imperfect, always on the edge, but on this occasion full of passion. I guess it was therapy for me.     Gosh, if this wasn’t captioned as Adams mum, I would never have guessed it was her in a million years… to me she has no resemblance to the lady we first saw on Idol….beautiful, just doesn’t look like her
