In September, Adam finally took a short break to cruise around Ibiza with Roger and friends. Later he settled down to work collaborating with other songwriters and artists as part of the ASCAP music camp at the Chateau Marouatte in France. Nice work if you can get it!
This month, he has one scheduled appearance, a benefit performance at the Point Foundation Point Honors event on October 7th and then he gets ready to go back on the road again with Queen in November.

    Sauli is very prolific with his Instagram stories! He was riding a bike, wading on the beach, etc. so cute! Can he whip Adam into shape, lol? But nice that they have these lovely interludes. *sigh* Will anyone ever measure up to Sauli? He’s become very successful now, worked very hard (ice dancing!!!, certified trainer, endorsements, tv and host gigs, etc.) and probably grown a lot in the process.
    AND gotten more gorgeous. The most beautiful couple, those two.

    Also, GT YT video just passed 89 million!
    And, was shopping at JCPenney today and The Light was played! Lovely surprise, took me a minute to recognize it (sound not the best, pretty toned down, but still…)

    Well…now the Today show announced that Tom Petty did die overnight. What a nightmare. What a legend. He did two sold out shows as a headliner at our Summerfest in July on his big tour that just ended. RIP

    Well, ulti, have to say these paragraphs make me somewhat optimistic.

    Lambert: I talked to RCA about it. In the beginning I had a meeting in New York with the heads of the label, Peter Edge and Tom Corson, right after I got off the road when I started the writing process. We had a great conversation during lunch where we just leveled with each other. I was like, “Look, if there’s something that you don’t like, just tell me.” And they were, like, “Okay, cool.” We just called out all the pretense and the bullshit and said let’s have fun with this and really communicate because we want the same thing. So let’s figure out how to do it. A lot of artists that I’ve heard about and read about are at odds with certain parts of the business and I didn’t want that. I wanted to have a very open, fun experience.
    Lambert: Yeah, that came like a second later. I was, like, “I really want this to be from me, but you need to tell me if you think what I’m doing is bullshit or if it sucks.” They were surprised but I said, I’m a big boy. I grew up doing theatre, I’m used to rejection, you can tell me. It was really cool. And I think we figured out what we wanted to accomplish creatively and what we wanted to avoid, what we wanted to emphasize and what we needed to move past. We were all on the same page.

    If Corson agreed to the Exec Producer bit, then he knows Adam. It was a history making #1 album, now recognized with his two #3 albums as quality music. And he’s now a worldwide star, 3 successful solo Int’l tours with fans everywhere, lots of prestige both as an advocate for LGBT causes as for being Queen’s frontman for 6 sellout years of world touring. Not the Adam of April 2012 anymore. Plus, Brian and Roger on his side.
    Of course, then RCA screwed up with the album. But Adam’s had a lot of experience now.
    So, I’m feeling better. He can handle this.
