September was a month full of surprises – Adam on Idol, Adam out and about and then to wrap up the month, the announcement of the UK and European Q+AL tour in early 2015. Can’t wait to see what October has in store! In the meantime, we’ll continue with the weekly walk down memory lane and revisit the summer’s concerts.

    We get amazing race tonight, I will watch out for it…
    are you sure it said Lambert and not Lambeth??? (an area of London). I just doubly enjoy watching it knowing its Ron and Luvals favourite show…..I always like it when they go to places I’ve visited too, in case I recognize any of it.
    The Pearly Kings and Queens were set up as charity fund raisers, around 1911…. My husbands grandparents used to be the Pearly King and Queen of Uxbridge…

    Yeah tomorrow not today. Got your boss from the airport late last night and took him to an aunt’s house over an hour’s drive away. He will bring her and her friend to the cruise with him tomorrow. Got back home about 3am. I told him I have instructions from you to talk talk talk about you know who (hubby was nearby so Adam’s name was never mentioned) and he laughed.
    rs, At least riskyhubby will find out soon where he has to be going whether he wants to or not. My DH won’t have a clue if I can help it. Laugh I’ll let my partner in crime mention the Milan trip later in the year.
    Luckily riskylady told me on Thursday evening that her Milan tix had arrived by UPS. I never expected them that early. I had been home all day and the doorbell never rang. Went to work late in the evening when DH picked me up and when I got over there I saw a UPS envelope just sitting in a basket near the front desk. Walked pass it several times, then picked it up and it was soaking wet! It had been thunderstorming all afternoon . Then I looked at the name and address and it was mine!!! It was so wet the envelope just came apart in my hands, there was a booklet/brochure inside, fairly thick, advertising upcoming Milan Forum shows and it was soaking wet as well and inside the booklet were my Milan Queenbert tickets, also soaking wet! I almost had heart failure, asked how the UPS envelope had gotten there, hubby said he found it on the grass in the front yard and brought it to work??? Whut??? Never said anything to me. Luckily he didn’t open it!!!! Then when he saw me in a tizzy over the package, he asked me what had come in it and I said concert tickets without thinking (dumb me) and he asked for who? and I quickly said “Earth Wind and Fire” which is the next concert I am really attending later this month. Heh. That night after he went to bed, I had to unfold the Milan tickets carefully since they were stuck together and wet and left them spread out on the counter in the kitchen for several hours until they dried. Whew. They seem to be ok. Luckily the only part in shreds was the cover ticket. I forgot to call UPS to complain that the driver threw the envelope on my lawn without a plastic bag in the pouring rain. Gaaahhh!! No
    On the way back home on the highway this a.m. earlier from dropping tlkc’s boss up north, there was a big billboard advertising the Earth Wind and Fire concert at Hard Rock Live and I made a point of showing DH as we drove by. ROTFL Look hon, that’s what those tickets were for, remember? Laugh

    And, you know what? It’s honestly that now that so many of know each other for real, that I won’t be there for all the fun that is not about the show, and just being together!!

    Second this!

    I will never forget walking over to the ACC with mils for the last TO concert. We all got to stand together. At one point I realized that I knew (or recognized) everyone leaning on the barrier at the end of the thrust. It was like a big round dinner table and were all enjoying a feast TOGETHER.

    So happy for everyone who is going but so sad to miss the flurry of fun, laughs and hugs.

    Oh, cher, I warned him that you were under orders to fill him in on all things Adam and he rolled his eyes, so it’s nice to hear that he is taken it in good stride.

    I do think you should make him watch one video and learn one interesting fact about Adam per day. Then a test on the last day. Grin

    Was flipping channels tonight and found the local tv station that has been running Glee episodes on Saturdays most of the summer. I got so I hated the show so I wasn’t interested in reliving the old episodes. Only the one that was coming on was where Starchild was introduced.

    I wasn’t able to catch it on television when it first aired and only saw Adam’s performance afterwards in video. I enjoyed watching it on the big screen in context with the show.

    Unfortunately, the rest of the show reminded me of why I quit watching it. The characters were unlikeable, and the storyline was lame. The only one I was rooting for was Elliot Gilbert!

    It was the last episode for the day, so I may have to watch next Saturday to see if I can catch Adam in another episode.

    I was thinking that in that Glee episode, when Adam was singing Katy Perry’s Roar, that it was too bad he wasn’t on the stage back in Lima wearing the loin cloth and swinging on the vine with the rest of the choir. Hmmm. Don’t think we’ll ever see that much skin.

    Risky, I like you had to look this Matty guy up. His instagram is full of pictures and in some he looks a lot like Sauli, in coloring and build, but not as good looking as Sauli is and doesn’t have that glow that Sauli has. I also got “happiness” on that quiz but mine is not because I’m going to Europe to see Q+A. Cry Pain I am however in reality a very happy person. Big Smile
    A little older lady with claustrophobia just couldn’t manage that plane trip. My daughter and her husband were in Europe this summer and they said the airport security is much worse than when they were there last so be prepared for some delays.

    @Ellesay… yeah, Glee has a way to make all characers unlikable. So I was very surprised that Adam Lambert’s character was very likable (except for the over the top dress up during “Marry the Night”)…. even when he said to Rachel that he did not want to be called like a pet or when he had enough of the whole Rachel/Santana drama. Maybe because his character was suprisingly realisitic in the bizarre Glee-universe ?

    Most of the German venues “have many tickets left” while many countries with just one show are near sold out already. I hope that they didn’t make a mistake putting so many concerts in cities so close together. There is still plenty of time and we will have to wait and see, but they might have to advertise more this time.
