Hi rs! I was looking for a vid, thanks aely for posting it.

How?
How was this a huge win for Adam when he was treated, yet again, IMHO, like a second class citizen?
The first time that there was a voice over it was Queen with Fun. Next announcement was simply Queen. Then, just prior to the actual performance, the voice over was Queen with Adam Lambert.
What big break-through is now going to finally happen, that we’ve all been hoping for, because of Adam’s performance on this show?
N.O.T.H.I.N.G.
What do I base this conclusion on?
Past experience.
It is very nice to see these praising and favorable tweets but, TWITTER?
C,mon. In the scheme of things Twitter is meaningless as any kind of gauge for Adam’s future success.
I’m afraid that I’m one frustrated fan right now that has to slink off to the corner.
You know, in this wonderful home that we’ve built together, we have only one official room that we refer to as the Corner.
There are many rooms in this house and each room is different. Each room is unique, with its own special decor, that reflects the occupant of that room.
Now, I’m off to the den, to finish the last chapter of the book that I don’t want to end – good books are so hard to put down – but all good things must come to an end eventually.
Good night all.
Ron, there was only positive from this exposure at the iHeart festival. Will it lead to everything we want for Adam, I don’t know, but it’s a baby step. He got noticed by a lot of people that didn’t know what he could do before, among them, iHeart execs.
I know, dear nkd
But it’s the same ole same ole again and again … and yet again.
I’m tired.
cher you are welcome to hack into my TV and watch Maury any time….LOL!!
Goshdarnit aely! I didn’t keep your password. I might have caught you watching TripleXXX! Thanks again! That was sweet of you!
Simon said, I do believe, “The goal of this show is to find an international star. And I truly believe we have found that in you. Well done.
Simon said WORLDWIDE star and that’s what our bb is!
Dear Ron, I understand your frustration, I really do. It has been stated by many people before. I have just decided that Adam’s success won’t be measured by things out of his control, like the whims of radio execs, rather the quality and variety of the things he is doing, his critical acclaim, the longevity of his career, and most important, whether he is happy and satisfied with what he is doing. To all that, I see a resounding YES! So many recording “artists” whose careers have shot up because of radio play have plummeted just as quickly. Of course, it would be nice to hear him whenever I turn on the radio, but I will go for quality over quantity every time. JMO.
nkd, Thanks for the Queenbert journey, I am watching it and I love it! I cried all over again during the EMAs and laughed when his pants ripped during the London show, remembering how I WAS THERE! Now to watch vid #3
Greetings from a lovely sunny KK….
I have watched the videos, and have flailed silently along with you all. He looked and sounded amazing, I have loved reading all the positive tweets. I have to think that it was all positive, especially the exposure to non fans, his peers and the radio execs…BUT I also agree with Ron, and we have seen this before, been so excited that something he’s done will finally be the big breakthrough, that he will finally get airplay and be treated as one of the in crowd, only to have our hopes dashed each and every time….
But maybe, just maybe this time will be different. And like Mils I would rather he had a long, long simmering career than a quick trip to the top only to be forgotten about a year later.
Hi HK Fan, hope you are enjoying your vacay, I think that Adam is getting more and more in the in-crowd, but I think that there are many in-crowds in Hollywood, and he isn’t necessarily in the one that includes the young pop singers. But he is certainly being sought out by people of value and taste there.

Adam is a pimp?!
I can’t find the “Gift from God” interview that Brian and Roger gave at iHeart anywhere in the October thread so I’m adding it in with apologies if it’s here and I missed it. Queen is surely planning more stuff with Adam based on this live interview.
Mission accomplished. A night on CW network is nice but this future tense “we have a chance to do great things with Adam” discussion is better imho. Green Room interviews Queen:

I’m not going to bring your entire post down for my response, Ron. If anyone needs a refresher, go ^^^. And I’m also not going to rehash everything about iHeart. We’ve all seen the performance videos, shot from every possible angle in the MGM, heard countless interviews, drooled over all of the gorgeous photos taken that night, etc. So, all I really can say is… What??? Would it have been a smarter career move for Adam to say, “Well, no thank you. I know you radio people – you’re a shifty bunch!”
I’m not a frequent poster, guys. Don’t really have the gift of posting that some of you do. But here are my thoughts: #1 – Adam was maybe the only performer that I can think of at iHeart that really, truly didn’t earn his performance slot based on radio play or some kind of random fan contest. Don’t get me wrong, he deserved it based on his talent and relationship with Queen, but that why he was there, because of QUEEN. #2 – and this is the best one… I already think of him as being successful. I started thinking outside the box with Adam a long time ago. He’s not the “one note” (pardon the pun) performer – I dare anyone to try and put him in a box, lol. He’s a multi-dimensional entertainer. He’s not the hot mess right now (Miley) because he made a fool of himself at the VMA’s and rode a wrecking ball in the nude. He’s building a broad, strong foundation that will lead to a long, lucrative career. I mean really, how sorry can you feel for a guy who closes day 1 of iHeart, hits the Avicii show in Vegas to hear Avicii close his 2-hour show with Lay Me Down and witness all the “cool kids” singing along – yes, they knew the words – and dancing their butts off, then rush back to LA to shoot Glee. Sorry, I’m having a hard time not thinking of this as a win. JMO, of course.
LOL – the “chance to do great things with Adam/Gift from God” interview is going viral. Sad day for @Queenonline – ers LOL!

This story should make major media at some point this week. This was the whole point of the exercise. Something in the works. When they do a proper show or tour, however short, people will notice.
ETA: Agree with TexasWannaHoldEm. This is a solid brick in the foundation of his career. No fly-by-nighty- kind of attention-grabbing moment.
I totally disagree TexasWannaHoldEm. Your post was beautifully stated…..and I completely agree. You must do it more often.
Apologies rs. I see you posted the Bri and Roger interview on page 2 of this thread. NVM – I will leave it here because some of the sturm and drang about the TV exclusions suggests a few people need a booster. If more is coming it will be ADAM, not Nate or anyone else.
iHeart is a radio concert – a smorgasboard of all kinds of amazing artists. In whatever Q+A project they are planning, he will be the main course.
Ron I feel you, buddy. I get so frustrated with all the crap he has to put up with. All the slights, hatred, and non talents getting all the radio play and sales. I even feel like they tried to push fun ahead of him the first night (haven’t watched the second yet) And I stil feel like STL was atrocious. Nothing about that performance was enjoyable for me.
But
1 Even without WWTLF he had great exposure from this.
2 His name is out there all the time
3 His voice is getting accolades from many sources
4 The Brian and Roger interview is all kinds of wonderful
5 He had a great time
6 He seems HAPPY, yeah he wants more but I think he will make it happen for himself.
7 He has to be one of the most loved people on the planet, I mean really loved and cared for. That is priceless.
8 He had on Sherwin Williams pants.
I am really trying to see all the positives about this. It may not go anywhere for him from this exposure but this time I am thinking it will. Love you Ron and I hope you are feeling better about this today.
Sorry about the list I am not trying to step on your territory mils
TLKC , I posted the YouTube of the interview that had been previously posted on the blog but wasn’t viewable for people not in the cachement area of IHeart, in other words, any of us not in the US or Canada. I couldn’t view the one you posted without going to my special site that hides my IP address.
Love number 8 on that list, glambotgram. Makes Adam happy and, as the pic at the top of this thread shows – a treat for all of us
Okay so this is a third time for the interview to be posted. Should I take it down?
Missed both links. Guess I was too busy watching the shows on TV and tweeting. Twitter was an all-out happy buzz on Monday.
No TLKC, leave it. Maybe someone didn’t see it and then won’t have to go back to the previous page. It is such a wonderful interview, I am fine with it being posted another hundred times. I have probably watched it 20 times already today, lol
tlkc Thanks for those articles:

Adam truly is , “Somebody To Love”.
Oh my. They are trying to download the interview.
I was at the Friday iHeart concert and have to say that Adam most certainly was not treated as a second class citizen that night. There was lots of hype for Adam in addition to Queen on the tickertape and the Jumbotron videos throughout the night. There was a scene from the rehearsals where Brian, Roger and Adam talked about working together and the upcoming performance. On stage it was clear who was Brian’s man. Nate may be getting hype from iHeart after the fact, but honestly, his STL was bad. That only made Adam look that much better. The best part of the show for me other than Adam’s impeccable vocals, was how incredibly confident and comfortable he was on stage with Queen at this concert. I felt that last summer he held back just a little in deference to Queen. It was as if he was still performing as their guest. This time he acted like he really belonged and completely let loose. And what a show!!!
Adam is following a slow but steady path to stardom and wider recognition, which should lead to a long, sustained career. And we’ll all be along for the ride.
Couldn’t agree more with fellow overheated, hard breathing Glamberts of all genders–even 2 days later. I see no “excess” in anyone’s comments! 4 Years later I’m still asking, who IS this man and how does he do this? Even tho iheart chose to showcase Nate instead of Adam in their rebroadcast night-1 Finale, the original show (and every performance by Adam) puts thousands more on the Glambert high road. An absolute Shame it’s always, always an uphill road. (A thought–did Rebroadcast night-2 show Adam’s WWTLF? I was too snarly to watch night-2 to find out.)

Spoilers for Kurt and Blaine in 5.02
Kurt and Blaine each mention being engaged in their first scene, but they don’t interact this episode.
Kurt and Rachel sing “Get Back” at NYADA because Rachel needs to get her mojo back.
Kurt starts working at the diner because Vogue.com doesn’t pay and he wants seed cash for a Madonna cover band.
Blaine and Artie encourage Sam to ask out the new nurse.

Always mulling over what I’d consider “success” for him (and what he’d consider it as) – does it come down to radio play? (Realize that he has had success of a substantial kind, but is radio going to have to be there to have truly “made it.” ?)

I added that video as well as the rehearsal video to the iHeart concert thread. It’s easier to find there since it’s right at the top with the other videos, photos and links.
Welcome to ALL MaggieMagoo! Hope to see more comments from you!
And no, they did not show WWTLF on night-2 but we still have it on the iHeart concert thread!
Please forgive me for continuing to relate to this question, but I can’t let it go. If the decision to play songs on the radio in any way reflected the quality of the songs, the singer’s talent, fan responses, or critical reviews, then I would answer “yes” to ultimathule’s question. But when radio play is arbitrary and dependent on the whims of some ultraconservative bigwigs at a few conglomerates, having nothing at all to do with the quality of the music, how can we say that it is a measure of real success or having “made it”? That just isn’t fair. It is one type of success, but it is something that Adam can have no control over, so why worry about it? His career is growing by leaps and bounds without radio play. So who needs it? Not Adam! He is forging is own path in his own way.
Amen!!
Thanks, rs, appreciate your encouraging post very much. That’s what I want to believe, too. And, who knows, it may very well be true – going with it!
Tomorrow may be another matter – lol.
This is in response to glambotgram‘s #8
Adam’s iHeart pants (and I heart those pants!)

nkd You coined the Sherwin Williams pants term, I believe. I just appropriated it, You were absolutely correct.
They play crap on the radio anyhow!!! Everyone knows who Adam is and all he is doing might be making him more money and fame anyhow. I really hope for less and keep the mystic of Adam Lambert going. Where is most everyone else from the famous AI SHOW ,playing in small bars or clubs. He really shouldnt be shoved down the publics throats. Why is success being judged on radio play? He is successful all over the world.
The only thing I want is him to win some vocal awards. Grammy. Music awards ect. I am not commenting on anyones opinion.
At least hes not getting carried up the Great Wall of China
So so true!
Yup, they’re paint!
I meant to say earlier, I like the bouncy like rubber part.
Yes, it’s a varnish but with bounce!
Yes – a GRAMMY at least, Miss Chaos – why the hell he didn’t get one for his incredible Trespassing is beyond me. Was it just lack of radio play or something else?
I started on the journey into the pants to make a point that Adam is doing well enough to buy $500+ jeans and shirts and at least 2 pair of Louboutin boots in the past few months. He’s not starving! He’s recording with legends and the new hot young DJ, and working on his own new music, which I’m so excited to hear.
He is going to be on Glee! That’s exposure to a whole new audience.
Can’t wait for all the good things happening!
