After a busy September with an abundance of positive reviews of Adam’s appearance with Queen and on Avicii’s “True”, October should be a quiet month. He will be busy on GLEE but those shows will only be broadcast starting in November. Let’s hope for leaks and treats to keep us chatting – as if we needed an excuse!

    aely…so funny you say that..about having our own concert. Me a few other people were talking about this a couple of years ago and at that time were talking about $500.00 a ticket.

    Looking at that list, aely, he’s one of the highest in that category and with $15,000 more he’d be in the last column. After Glee he may command that.

    ulti I think he is doing fantastic! Seriously, 10 concerts a year would make him a million dollars. Can’t complain about that. Once he is signed again and more in demand after Queen and Glee for sure he will command more than that. I am sorry if my kind of joking around came across as negative.

    Still think if ever was a time to have him do a small concert now is the time. Smile Smile That would be fun! luval Did you look into it at all?

    No aely…was just a dream like most other things. But we went as far as discussing Adam’s fee, the venue fee, merchandise, where it would be, etc. 500 people would be $250,000 and I think we determined it still wasn’t enough money. Looks like it might have been doable!

    If I was supposed to get that last tweet from Adam I didn’t get it except on TweetDeck (thank you, aely). Or was it a tweet to Naya which I wouldn’t have gotten anyway?

    On twitter he never remembers to put a “.” in front of who he is tweeting so his whole timeline can see the tweet. It does show up on tweet deck either way. If you have an iphone or any phone with the twitter app you can sign up for notifications when he tweets. If anyone wants that let me know and I will write out directions. It is nice if you are not around your computer and tweet deck you can get tweet notices from anyone you follow.

    Sometimes I wonder if I only make sense to myself. LOL

    For what it is worth, I think it would be amazing to have a private fan concert. And do-able if someone would take the reins. And I think Adam would be flattered and bemused and into it.

    And I think that the Norva here in Norfolk VA would be an ideal location…

    Similar experience with Adam’s tweet, luval – saw it on tweetdeck. Went to his twitter and didn’t see it there either which really confused me. But then both twitter and facebook leave me saying “whut”?

    That booking price list is interested, he’s doing really well compared to other Idols. Some of the acts on the last column, can’t believe what some of them ask….there’s a few on there definitely not worth the money.

    I remember the private concert conversation luval. The $500 included renting a hall etc. Love to see it happen but there was a fly in he ointment and I can’t remember what it was. Think maybe we needed to go through a recognized agent or something? Post a bond etc.

    Of course James was confused. So was I!!!!! I don’t remember this poll, do you? Usually all over twitter etc. I do follow the voter team and am known to be good for a few votes.

    This is actually good because it is probably fans of Lance’s show who put Adam on top. Possibly Lance has a significant LGBTQ following? At any rate this probably wasn’t Glambert-driven so that is awesome. Big Smile

    The biggest box office performers are the legacy bands. A decent exposure with Queen would definitely pick up a crowd very respected by promoters and increase his fees. They are older, well-off, and have a lifetime habit of attending stadium shows. If he is planning on going the rock route, Adam would also pick up the right kind of audience for his next cd.

    I figure Queen would pay Adam $100,000 a show, assuming decent-sized venues. I want a Q + A tour as much for what it will add to Adam’s financial independence as anything else. Three weeks, ten shows and $1 million later….

    Hi luval! I was talking to M on the phone last night and she has been lurking. She asked me where the bus would start Laugh ?

    We decided we were going to do the North-Eastern seaboard shows and then fly to the West Coast for a couple – hee hee!

    A bus takes 52 people. Daytime fees less than $200 Cdn but an overnight fee, I am not sure. We could certainly afford the shared cost.
    M pointed out that we will need a driver if we don’t get one with the bus. Still, big savings in a joint trip.

    I want to decorate the bus.

    When Queen + Adam perform they need to add a few (3 or 4) Adam songs to establish that they are Queen+Adam and not a Freddie impersonator with Queen. IMHO of course.

    Does Adam have to pick up all the expenses in his fee, I am thinking money paid out to the band etc.? At least with Queen he has no expenses.

    I remember voting on the elevator contest but can’t remember where. Pain

    Durbin looks like to me he is copying Adams style again. I would say he watches him closely.

    James is there with Lance as they are doing several pre AMA shows. I watched another one the other day. I found it from a tweet. James has lost weight, looks healthy and is putting out a new album soon. Album promo maybe why he got the gig. I’m glad he is still having some success. He survived a childhood of illness and constant bullying and still came out positive. On the list Aely posted on concert cost, I was surprised that Katherine McFee was in the highest group (barely)and that Phillip was in the same column (barely)as Adam, but he has sold a million cd’s and had two top selling singles. He’s no vocalist but some folks like the musician, storyteller type. About the bus trip, why fly when you would enjoy a trip across mid America. Lots of friendly people and some devoted Glamberts. Question

    He appears to be doing pre-promo for his single coming out in December and album in the spring, so he’s probably doing a few things to get back on people’s radar screen.

    I think he actually did a pretty good job on this – he seemed personable and fun-spirited.

    That’s great that Adam won the elevator poll! I never heard about this poll, so I agree with TLKC that this win was not necessarily driven by a large-scale organizing of the Glamberts. Adam won by such a large margin, though, there had to be some Glambert energy in there. LOL
