After a busy September with an abundance of positive reviews of Adam’s appearance with Queen and on Avicii’s “True”, October should be a quiet month. He will be busy on GLEE but those shows will only be broadcast starting in November. Let’s hope for leaks and treats to keep us chatting – as if we needed an excuse!

    luval I will be around for 30 minutes. Just ask if you have questions. You can even set up a column so you can see Adam’s feed if you want. It is fun to see his mentions fly when he tweets.

    My computer is weird. When I download something I can’t find it. Then after a bit I eventually locate it. Thanks, aely. Wish me luck.

    The bold thing is odd. If I make an error in the comment box after I’ve already started to “bold”, then backspace to delete and start over, the bold keeps bolding! I’m sure it’s me.

    aely! You’re back! Long time no see! So nice to hear from you! I have never had tweetdeck but have heard that it does assist you in keeping track of twitter convos.

    Interestingly, Boy George responded to a homophobic tweet a few days ago. His response was “Get a chin!”. He’s very funny on twitter.

    To get Adam’s feed in one column. Click on any @adamlambert and get his profile. At the bottom are boxes click on Timeline. It will then ask you if you want to add a column and click that box. You might want to set up 2 separate columns for Adam mentions. One with @adamlambert and another for Adam Lambert so you see all tweets that mention him. You set those columns with the magnifying glass search. Let me know if that makes sense.

    Okay I got Adam’s profile and clicked on timeline but there doesn’t seem to be an option to add a column. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

    If you want to put the tweet deck icon on your desktop background just right click and drag it to the screen and drop it and it will be there easy to find.

    Legendary Queen guitarist Brian May stopped by the “Jim Kerr Rock & Roll Morning Show” Friday morning and gave a great interview and impromptu guitar performance for listeners. May discussed a number of topics including the possibility of a new Queen album, his new book “Diableries: Stereoscopic Adventures in Hell,” the Freddie Mercury movie, and much more!

    May confirmed that he is working on a new album of old Queen recordings. “There is more than I thought there…there’s those couple of tracks we’ve been telling people about with Michael Jackson…a mixture of old and new I think,” May explained. “I’m working on one particular track which nobody’s going to expect that’s just Freddie singing a beautiful song.”

    May also talked about the Freddie Mercuy movie and revealed that the band has an unknown actor in mind for the part. “We have somebody very much in mind, who is not quite signed on the dotted line yet, but yeah he’s a young and upcoming and wonderful actor and a face you probably don’t know, but you will soon.”

    While in studio May also pulled a guitar off the wall in the Q1043 studios and started playing for everyone! As May said, “I just like guitars in the morning.”

    Ahhh … Today is a good day.
    We had delicious dinner. DH and DD are very happy because their team the KC Chiefs won. They have won 7 games without losing any so far.
    Everybody is in an excellent mood.

    Now I’m ready to go out to solve the world hunger. YAY … \O/ …

    The picture that Adam instagrammed of himself on the horse made me laugh. That smile! That adorable expression! He looks so happy and like he’s having a ball.

    That WBIG interview with Brian was all kinds of wonderful. He said such lovely things about Adam, and the way he said “we’re talking” and the fact that they are now fielding offers is very very promising indeed! And Brian is a wonderful, kind, brilliant, articulate, open-hearted man, and I could listen to him talk for hours.

    I agree with many of you that Adam has matured into an amazing level of confidence and self-assuredness – of finding himself and his place in the world. I think his close, genuine relationships with people like Brian, Roger, and Nile – people with such stature and longevity in the industry, who think the world of him and are eager to work with him (with things in the works!) – and his new affiliation with Glee have confirmed to him that he has a special gift and have solidified his sense of belonging in the entertainment industry. Solid relationships with current hot artists like Avicii, Bonnie McKee, and Katy Perry, on top of the bazillions of talented, artistic friends that he’s had forever and continues to meet, probably give him confidence and grounding as well. And the fashion world is taking more and more notice of him, and between his amazing fashion sense and recent exercise regimen with a trainer, his increased confidence in his appearance is really apparent in the incredibly graceful, self-assured, and smokin’-hot sexy manner in which he has carried himself in front of the cameras lately.

    I’m just really genuinely happy for him for every success he achieves and every happiness he encounters or makes for himself.

    This “becoming a star” video is really poignant in the context of this discussion of how he has matured into such an amazing man and artist. It’s a compilation of photos from his childhood and adolescence – it’s amazing to see how far he’s come and how much he has changed in appearance over the years.

    Here’s a bit more about Ben Wishaw, the guy who is playing Freddie. This means Brian and Roger are really serious about doing a proper job on this film. Anyone who has played Keats and Keith Richards has to be a dramatic force. It doesn’t sound as though he is a singer, though. Guess they will use Queen tracks.

    Very hopeful about the movie now.

    Regarding Jian Gomeshi – he published a book last year. It is titled 1982 and focuses on that year in his teenage life. It’s departure point is how much Freddie Mercury meant to him, personally, because they were both Persian. I happened upon an outdoor reading of the book at Toronto’s Festival of Authors last September and ended up getting a copy and his autograph. He had talked about Queen in his reading so I mentioned seeing them in Hammersmith and he looked at me so sadly and said, “Oh but they weren’t with Freddie.”

    Jian was in a band himself and vocals would be a big focus for him but I can’t see him being over the moon about a Queen reunion. At the same time, I can’t see him embracing the idea that artists have to retire from their entire catalogue because a very valued collaborator has passed away. It would be very interesting to hear him interview Brian and Roger. Maybe he will have Brian discuss his new book on Q.
