After a busy September with an abundance of positive reviews of Adam’s appearance with Queen and on Avicii’s “True”, October should be a quiet month. He will be busy on GLEE but those shows will only be broadcast starting in November. Let’s hope for leaks and treats to keep us chatting – as if we needed an excuse!

    asif, sweetie, I hope that you can make it to Winstar for the concert. I and a few others from here are going, and I am so looking forward to meeting you. I understand your feelings, heck I wanted an invisibility cloak to take to Ste Agathe when I first met people from ALL. I was very nervous, but it was fabulous!     Those prices pretty much leave me out. And to think I was going to email Cher and riskylady to see who was interested in going! lol

    little dutchess I am sad to say I won’t be in town that day. That’s the first day of my week long cruise and aely did suggest that I meet the ship in the next port. ROTFL Don’t think my two cabin mates would find that funny considering it’s my room thru a casino offer. The Intercontinental Miami is a gorgeous hotel right on South Beach. Nice venue. I would’ve found my way in there somehow if I were going to be here. Bummer. Been sulking since I heard Adam was gonna be right up the road and I wouldn’t be in town. Cry Not to mention I’ll be missing Adam’s Glee episode that week as well. Hopefully my dvr gets it IF I remember to set it.

    Morning! Just took a proper read of the last 4 pages – RL is OTT busy at the moment – and saw found so many gems – photos and comments. Can’t believe Cher is missing Adam in Miami.

    Missed you yesterday, Kradamour, but glad to see hear that you are working your way through the “list”. Hope you get to the personal side of it soon. Winter is a great time to read and write.

    No worries about grammar and accents asifclueless , we just want to meet you! As Nkd has said, we know you already. How you speak is the farthest thing from our minds It’s what you say that matters. Besides, all Glambert get-togethers start with universal language – hugs!.

    Love your insight on a tectonic shift in the way Adam is viewed, ulti. In the last couple of years he has been seen paying his dues, making excellent music and winning respect from major artists. He is quietly building a reputation for professionalism and creative collaboration in the entertainment industry. Maybe it is paying off?

    Don’t worry rs. When Adam announced that Starchild/Elliott would blow his audition by being OTT, I had the same thought as you did. Second thoughts say that Adam seemed to be quite aware of what he was and wasn’t allowed to say earlier this season so his info may very well be part of Glee’s usual strategy of slowly dropping clues about the next episode.

    Gleeks and Glamberts are madly speculating whether he will be a one-shot guest star or play a recurring character. This answers that question and makes us curious about how things will play out with. Can’t wait to see Kurt deliver the news to Starchild. Bet it’s scathing….

    Maybe there is more than that tweet from Shoshanna re the question of whether Adam will be more than a one-off on Glee, but it was a two-part question to her: can she talk about it, and will Adam have only one episode. She just replied no. But to which of the two questions?
    Don’t want to be all lawyer-ly on us, but that set of tweets alone (assuming that I remember it correctly) doesn’t tesolve the issue.

    Loved the little vids from Marco Marco… In the second one, I just lol-ed at the expression of a brunette guy in the right half of the screen who is looking kinda horrified…!
    Clever outfits, but I am thinking the clientele is pretty limited…

    I could swear I saw a tweet from Shoshana answering yes to the Glee multi-episode question, but perhaps not. Also, one of the articles posted here described Adam’s involvement in a multi-episode arc.

    Adam is not listed as a singer in Glee episode 5 & 6 but that doesn’t mean much. The show has two locations and so many characters/storylines to play out.

    We will see. Better to expect the least. That way we will not be disappointed.

    ETA: saw Shoshanna’s twitter convo – see what you mean Kradamour. Lawyerly answer indeed.

    sistasif, Cher‘s post re her accent got me to thinking. Her accent is a strong one and very musical, lovely to listen to.
    But we have Americans-from-way-back-many-generations on the blog who have strong regional American accents, and I am just as challenged by a conversation with someone from Texas (for example) as I am with someone from overseas. When I first moved to Virginia 30 years ago, and we had a TV, there was a guy who did the weather who was completely unintelligible to me…every evening I would listen to him in amazement, wondering what on earth he was saying. That really strong tidewater accent is pretty much not heard any longer, which is a shame…media is homogenizing our regionalisms.
    And of course TLKC is correct that our universal language is a hug!
    So don’t give the non-issue of your accent another thought, chérie!

    re Glee….
    I’m thinking that Adam maybe gets a 2nd chance with the band….in the trailer he’s seen wearing top hat, glam clothes, full make up, swinging from the chandelier, and you can see from Kurts face that he’s thinking WTF, so he tells him no, its too much. But also in the trailer we see him with the band again but this time in normal clothes, on the rope….maybe the other band members tell Kurt to let him try again because of his voice?

    Nobody is getting tickets to Make A Wish. A couple of pages back Jlurksacto posted that it was sold out weeks ago (way before we knew anything about it) with a waiting list of over 50 people.

    Just watched Burton and Taylor on my computer. It was so good. I have always liked Helena Bonham Carter, and I thought that she did Liz justice, but I have to say that I missed the real Richard Burton. I used to have such a crush on him (from when he played Hamlet) and I kept imagining him and his voice instead of the actor who I as watching today.

    asif, You have to do everything in your power to go to Winstar! Aside from seeing a fabulous Adam NYE show, you would get to meet some of your ALL friends in person and that is such a special experience. It is unlike any other social situation you have ever been in. Like TLKC said, it begins with a hug, and it is so real. (I remember when I was in London and I went into the record store to get another copy of Trespassing, there was a woman leaving the store with a black and yellow scarf and a huge smile on her face. I said, did you buy Trespassing? and she said, 5 copies! and she gave me a hug! I had never seen her before and never saw her again, but that hug was real) I, too, am shy in new social situations, but the bond is already there and everybody is just so happy to finally meet in person. I have very fond memories of meeting HK Fan in London after we had “spoken” so often when everyone in the States was still asleep. And San Diego was just one big party. If I was in the States there is no way I would miss Windstar, and I wish I could just arrange a short trip, but it is impossible. I will have cousins from Toronto visiting me at that time. I was just talking to riskylady on Skype yesterday, and I said that one of the great reasons to go to Winstar would be to finally meet you! So you go, girl. Don’t let anything stop you.Laugh

    From today’s episode 4 thread:

    I always believed that, from Ryan Murphy stating that Adam would be “joining the cast.” Afterwards, there have been lots of clues too, starting with Colfer’s “nemesis” statement. Surely Murphy will take advantage of the hoopla magnet that is Adam!

    asif, I’m taking the plunge to travel to Oklahoma In the dead of winter! Definitely hoping to meet you there! I’m used to all kinds of accents, heck, a few of my Nicaraguan-born kids still have one. It will be fun! I think Adam will be so happy to be performing again with an audience of fans, it should be a great concert.
