Yes – noted that vid, rs – the effect of music on mood is just fascinating – such as why a piece in a minor key evokes sadness.
Considering they’ve boiled down 24+ acts, that appeared over a period of appx. 8-10 hours. I think it’s pretty awesome that Adam is appearing on both broadcasts. To me that says something…more importantly, something positive.
I think sometimes it’s hard for fans not to take things personally, because they’ve been on this merry-go-round with him for 4 years, and there have been MANY disappointments and instances of him getting screwed over. Of course we all want the best for him….the best press, the best roles. I think that him performing at iHeart with Queen was a BIG deal for him. He was out front and center before thousands of people at the gig, and now hopefully, hundreds of thousands of people on TV. My heart is full.

I think it’s notable that Katy Perry and Muse each got only one song broadcast last night, whereas Adam/Queen got two last night and another tonight.

TBH I really don’t like all these short singers, we’ll sorry NM ITS ALL about Adam and I. Am in awe. Wish his songs would stop playing over and over in my head so I could sleep.

I watched the show last night and after Fun closing I felt my eyes swell up only because he closed the show and I was expecting Adam and Queen.
To me Fun sounded better for some reason and the crowd interaction made me sad for it was Adam’s given spot. It wasn’t until I came here and read all your reactions I felt better and more glass half full. Hopefully tonight’s airing will make up for it.

I have a confession to make. I have a puzzle app on my computer where I can make puzzles from pics on my computer…well that pic is a puzzle!
I didn’t watch the show live but got home about 20 minutes before Queen’s set. I really wanted to watch it all the way through so I decided to just get on twitter and watch iHeart and Adam’s feed. It BLEW UP, in a very positive way with tons of praise. There were a few negative tweets but there will always be no matter how popular he gets. But, seriously 80% or higher were positive with LOTS of non Glamberts commenting. I am talking HUNDREDS of tweets. Adam was also the #1 trending topic on Facebook last night. People were talking and talking a lot. I saw VERY few tweets about Nate or fun.

They tweeted about glamberts and who is ready to see Adam not Queen. Very supportive on the social media front.
Here is my take: It was Queen’s set not Adam’s –they were there to showcase Queen and their music. Fun is more popular than Adam or Queen right now and it is a TV show looking for ratings and they are a bigger draw. That was likely why the collaboration with Fun was more talked about. From what I read they only showed one song by Fun and the one with Queen. Adam got 2 songs plus Tuesday, which is more than fair.

cwm, so nice to see you here. I totally empathize with what you’re going through. Went through virtually the same thing with my mom and dad a few years ago, and it is wrenching. Good wishes to you and your mom, may it be as easy as possible on you both.
I wasn’t able to watch the show last night – as cher mentioned, our CW had football on. They will broadcast it this Saturday at 8 p.m. They do have part two tonight, though.
So, I only watched the WWRY/WATC YouTubes. Have to say, I was very pleased that they included Mario Lopez’ intro of Queen featuring Adam, no mention of Nate. And, veerrrry pleased at the lovely backstage clips of Adam chummily hanging with Roger and Brian, plus Brian’s biiiig hug and smile – it was obvious there was a very close and affectionate relationship. And BONUS was the clip of Katy stating that Adam was the one person who could carry Freddie’s torch – how very sweet of her to put that in her intro.
I couldn’t tell anything about the sound – I never even liked the sound on the original livestream. Sounded muffled to me and distorted Adam’s voice with some extra vibrato. I believe this may have happened even more with the EMAs stream too, because I have some fan vids that I grabbed before they took them all down, and it is much less.
The iHeart fan YouTubes sound much more like Adam live (comparing to London here).
So, I didn’t know about STL until tchrsd told me. So, with all that came before, I still think Adam got a strong showing – looking and sounding amazing, and creating a lot of good buzz on twitter from newbies.
Just now I did some research on iTunes. Apparently, Muse got NO significant bump from this, Queen’s two hits albums moved up quite a lot, more than 200 spots. No bump into the top 300 at least for Trespassing, but strangely enough, LMD, which has been falling, got a nice little bump on the Dance chart, about 75 spots. #TRUE is doing very very well. I really think that is more important right now – people buying the singles may not be buying the album, but people buying the album (and it has been charting consistently higher than all the songs except WMU) will hear LMD. Until Avicii makes a radio edit and sends LMD to radio, that will have to do. Wish he would HURRY UP!!!

Oh, forgot to mention: Significant in FBG (to me) is that moment when Brian takes Adam alone up front with him and then does the back-lean thing right under Nate’s nose, couldn’t be more clear who is his boy. So, that’s coming unless the
jerksproducers edit it out, in which case I for one will be tweeting them because it comes a while before the song ending.Yes, riskylady – to my eyes that was at Brian’s initiative. Makes me wonder even more about Fun’s appearance with Queen.

Sooo Adam – “He doesn’t have any airs and graces…he’s light and easy to work with…” Things we love about Adam! WOW! This just spontaneously said…some folks would pay millions for that kind of endorsement from these guys.

I loved the show. Adam was shown quite a bit and they said something like Rock royalty ushered into a new generation with Adam Lambert. Can’t get more praise than that. Nate sounded great and so did Adam. I don’t think Adam sounded drowned out at all. It was great footage and he looked fantastic. Again, it was Queen’s set and they got great exposure. Katy’s intro, Mario’s intro all so great for Adam and actually all that focused on Adam which is pretty cool. If they did help Nate out on the vocals, who cares, it doesn’t change anything as far as Adam is concerned. It just makes Queen and their songs sound better.
Adam killed Nate on FBG in the show and it was VERY obvious who the front man of Queen was in that song. For the first time Adam didn’t hold back at all and just went all out and watching it live you could tell Nate knew it but was just so happy to be living his dream it really didn’t matter.
Adam seems to have way more exposure than any other artist on the show so far so I am more than thrilled with the coverage. Of course, my opinion.

That was one of the greatest things with this concert, aely – Adam didn’t hold back. That may be what Roger was addressing in that CWTV interview about the difference since the concerts last year. The boy’s just dynamite when he lets loose.

It is such a fabulous interview. Every sentence is quote worthy, starting from “gift from Heaven”. It just strengthens what we have all been saying about how Adam was such an integral part of the band (as seen in the clothes, chemistry between them, etc.) who generously invited fun. to join them for a couple of songs. I get that fun.is more current and popular in the States right now than the classic Queen or underplayed Adam, and that is why TV was pimping them more, but what everyone had been saying it seems that Q&A were the real stars of the show. I am not holding my breath that this will lead to a sudden surge radio play, but that is a whole other matter that I really don’t bother with.
For now I will just bask in all the vicarious love that I am feeling from those two lovely gentlemen of Queen.

I watched some of Iheart. Adam was wonderful, I kept changing the sound selections on my surround sound and his voice came through loud and clear on 3d surround selection.
I watched Elton and Katie and that’s it. I could not bring myself to watch/listen to the fun(not fun) guy again. Hoping for the best song of the night tonight.
rs – You are so right about every sentence being quoteworthy. Love the part where Bri says it wouldn’t work with a billion other people. And “we feel like a family”. That’s what I felt last year and it’s only increased since then. iHeart really solidified the relationship. Roger is out there with his son on stage and Brian and Adam act like, at the very least, uncle and nephew. After this, I really don’t see Queen wanting to work with anyone else as their frontman when they perform live!
