After a busy September with an abundance of positive reviews of Adam’s appearance with Queen and on Avicii’s “True”, October should be a quiet month. He will be busy on GLEE but those shows will only be broadcast starting in November. Let’s hope for leaks and treats to keep us chatting – as if we needed an excuse!

    rs – I wouldn’t worry about that “one-off” statement. That came out of nowhere on that unreality TV site, and has no basis in any other information that’s out there anywhere. They don’t know anything more than anybody else about how long Adam’s role will last. Mostly they’re just trying to turn Ryan Murphy’s tweet that Adam has great ideas and that he loves him into a full article (which is nice of them).

    One thing I’ve noticed when I read a bunch of different articles written from the same original source material is how much liberty different sites will take with the same basic known facts.

    Thanks cwm. I had read the same thing as rs and was just about to post the one-off comment. Frown Big Frown Cry Didn’t the original news on MJ’s say that at least two episodes?

    This twitter rankings info suggests that live-tweeting the episode is probably a good idea. Also, post-show recaps on some sites are worth an awful lot. PTL and Gossip Girl had famously small audiences but their demographic was coveted and their social media footprint was so huge that GG lasted several years and PTL is still going.

    One of the big social media TV sites is New York magazine. I used to go in and view the Gossip Girl recaps, which were really witty, and a lot of the regular posters were even wittier. They used to issue + and – points to the script. Points were based on authenticity, cleverness and on subtle insider NYC fashion notes. The moderator would consolidate them into a final score. The discussion would go on all week. It was particularly good if you had missed the episode on TV.

    The big deal on recap comments is that the quality of the posts matters. If everyone is into the plotlines of the characters then that suggests the storyline is engrossing, which matters way more than “Adam Lambert is da bomb!” Also, if lots of people with Adam-related avi’s and monikers live tweet the show in general (not just Adam’s part in it) that will be a huge positive.

    I hope the Glee twitterati gets into Adam’s character. That might expand his role.

    I should clarify I remember the pony tail in the IIHY video but never noticed it in the stills, the michelin man, etc. Don’t remember the long braid!

    I don’t have a problem with kickstarters but in Adam’s case the haters will be shouting “I told you so”!. What is it with a label? Is no one interested in Adam or maybe he’s not interested in any label whatsoever even indie. Would love to know what goes on in that arena.

    I think Adam knows enough people in the biz and has garnered enough respect (for his talent) that he wouldn’t HAVE to do this. Unless of course he wanted to do it (as a way to offer something up to his fans).

    Thanks for he reassurance cwm. I didn’t think it could be true, but when people write something with such confidence it makes me stop and question.

    Glad to hear that your surgery went well and now you are on the mend twilightmagic8. Don’t rush things, take all the time you need to recoup. (After my major surgery I said, why do I need 5 weeks of sick leave? That is so much! But I needed and appreciated every day to get my strength back.) But remember the recommendation that the doctor won’t tell you: High doses of Adam Lambert to be taken both aurally and visually will make you forget your pain and recoup much faster. Glambert’s orders! Wink

    I would not like to see Adam using kickstarter to fund a album. Of course, Glamberts would rally to support him, but it sends out a bad message, that no one in the profession is willing to back him. We don’t know what is going on behind the scenes. I really believe that he is taking his time and not rushing . He is at the point that he doesn’t need a label to bring him people to collaborate with, like they did for FYE. I imagine that there are people waiting in line to work with him. He is doing Glee and working on new music. At this point in time, what does he need a label for? When he has found the direction for the new album and gets near the point of having enough material that he wants to put the album together, that is the time to find a label that fits his needs. In the meantime, he is building up more and more cred every day, especially when is Glee songs start blowing up the I-tunes charts. I just have so much faith in is “business sense” and the name he is building up for himself as the consummate professional that I can’t worry about his future.

    Don’t think Adam lacks for money (doesn’t he have $5 million?) – more what comes next. Like others, hoping Glee will be very beneficial for him career-wise in getting his talent and voice out there.

    must admit, I was a bit peed off yesterday when I saw his next single was Hey Brother rather than LMD…..Adams fans have done a lot to support Avicii, I’m sure they had a big hand in his album charting so high…but trying to be positive, its still getting Adam exposure, its still on the album, and its still being played at Avicii’s many gigs..

    I think Avicii’s “True” has legs. If Bruno and Katy can continue to spit out songs from their albums why not Avicii. Am hoping for Lay Me Down after the steam has blown out of Hey Brother. I mentioned this in the past that LMD to me has such a similar vibe to Wake Me Up that maybe it’s good there’s a 2 song break between the two. Lay Me Down will sound fresh and new. It better be released as a single or else. Devil or I’ll Beat Up someone. Wink
