After a busy September with an abundance of positive reviews of Adam’s appearance with Queen and on Avicii’s “True”, October should be a quiet month. He will be busy on GLEE but those shows will only be broadcast starting in November. Let’s hope for leaks and treats to keep us chatting – as if we needed an excuse!

    ‘Morning’. cwm has a good point about a separate Glee thread which viewers who are time-delayed can avoid until it shows in their Time Zone. Honestly, though, I love the spoilers. It’s is part of Glee pre-show hype.

    Nemesis is probably still on – why would they send Chris Colfer out to announce it on national TV and then dump the idea, particularly when it got them so much online buzz?

    The storyline cwm posted and mils anticipated certainly works for nemesis. If Starchild is in Kurt’s Madonna cover band and the others decide Starchild should sing lead on too many songs, that makes Starchild nemesis – especially if Kurt resorts to some of his high school machinations to subvert things. Kurt’s character is ripe for a real world life lesson about a high school stand-out finding that there are plenty of talented fish in the NYC pond. It’s very Glee.

    No worries about me looking at Robin Thicke and seeing sexy, gorgeous Adam, rs. I just see a dark-haired retro-looking young man singing a Pharrel song and radio thinking he’s a safer hit than edgier, outlaw Adam was last year. Adam threw out an intriguing and seductive male POP personae and they took it but not him.

    RE: Velvet Goldmine – I saw the film in the theatre when it first came out. My favourite scene was the one with the writer and the artist on the rooftop in the rain. Looking at it now, it’s easy to see how the closing scene would have had a powerful impact on Adam. What is a true artist, changing the world or yourself.

    ETA: Phew rs! Wouldn’t want you to think I was that out-of-it.

    I think a Glee thread is a good idea. We can gush freely without being concerned about spoiling it for others that haven’t watched yet.
    I enjoy the spoilers too with song listings and story line bits. I just don’t want to know the exact direction for Adam’s character beforehand. I don’t think that will get out anyway.

    Nielsen has introduced a new type of ratings system that seeks to measure the audience for TV-related conversations on Twitter.

    The glamberts can surely beat out any show for tweets!

    So about that separate GLEE thread…
    Would you want one for each week (like a mini-concert thread) where you would discuss the show that week? I would post any videos of Adam songs.
    Or just one thread dedicated to the whole show? I could still post any Adam videos there as well. I’m not sure what to do about spoilers since discussion for the upcoming shows could happen in this thread. Spoilers could be for upcoming episodes or provided by those who saw the show earlier in the night (east vs. west airing).
    I’m open to whatever you ALL want. This is after ALL your home too.

    Needed to take a nap a couple of times, just catching up here. I’m off the big drugs now, so it’s much easier to navigate. Glad to get that monkey off my back, so to speak.

    So much going on! The last time I was here, was after the iHeart Radio Festival. Such an exciting event, I was over the moon with joy for Adam.
    Now we are moving down his path of destiny, and the process is always exciting to speculate.

    I am not a Glee follower, but have seen a few episodes during these years.
    I am betting on this new exposure, to be a big deal for Adam.

    My suggestion. Everything Glee related in the Glee thread. With a Spoilers beware. I realize some things may be posted in the regular thread but ask to try to keep it spoiler free.
    Also one topic for the first show and see how big it gets whether to start a second one.

    I agree with Miss Chaos on the Glee thread.
    Start with one and see how big it gets. Keeping in mind Adam’s episodes may not be consecutive. Meaning there will probably be weeks when he isn’t on.
    Lots of videos at the top make the thread load slower, if that makes a difference to anyone.
    But there probably won’t be more that a couple from each of his episodes.

    Thanks for ALL the feedback. I like Miss Chaos’ idea of starting with just one Glee thread and see how that goes. Just give me a few days heads up before Adam’s first appearance and I will set up a thread. Maybe use that Adam/Glee photo?
    Other option is to start a Glee thread now and any Glee chat will be done there.

    I do like the idea of a Glee thread. That being said, it will be hard to keep everything Glee over there. It’s bound to filter over into the chat thread.

    As far as spoilers go, they are everywhere. I am of the mindset that if you don’t want to be spoiled, then don’t read stuff online.

    I remember a bit of a tiff here not too long ago about this.

    I would hate to see us lose posters or lurkers because of debate about spoilers. We all “know” each other after all these years, and hurt feelings are unnecessary. IMHO

    I would also not enjoy feeling censored, or not want to post here because a potential limited few don’t want spoilers.

    I promise to play nice, but, am I alone in this?

    Listened to Eli’s Wrecking Ball again. Hmmmmm. He has an ok voice but seems like he’s straining. IMO. Nice face, though.

    mils…just read your post and totally agree. Look at the iheart stuff that is here at times. There is no way to control this I don’t think. Nobody’s fault, really. Speaking for myself I will try hard to stick to the Glee thread for Glee info but can’t guarantee it. And spoilers will be in every print mag too. It can’t be avoided. I even read the spoilers for shows I don’t watch!

    Jeepers, we coulda used it for IHeart. I know that pic up top sent many of us into a glam coma. As for me, I’m still seeing an eye doctor for that “eyeballs stuck to my screen ” incident.

    I’d rather wait to post on the Glee thread until showtime. It’s too hard to keep up with multiple threads and what to talk about where. I like to keep most things on the chat thread until the show, then we can flail and complain about the show there. Just my opinion.

    I say any leaks and spoilers before the show airs are fair game.

    nkd, I agree, and that’s just how we used to do it over there sometimes. Until the time we were allowed to stay on a show thread and chat until the next show.

    I say chat is chat, about anything. And the Glee thread is for the show itself. But that’s just me, let’s hear more opinions.

    I agree. Save the Glee thread for discussion of the actual show when it airs. Anyone who doesn’t want to know what happened in an episode already aired on the East Coast can just stay away from the Glee thread until they’ve seen it themselves.

    Heck, I managed to avert my eyes from all the iHeart Queenbert posts with the set lists and Fun references so I’d be surprised at the concert. I’m not usually that self disciplined, but if you really want to be surprised, it’s your responsibility to avoid being exposed to the information.

    I agree about the Glee thread, maybe start it the day before or the day of the show. I also avoid the posts here if there is anything I haven’t watched yet, that I know we talk about. I is easy to do if you don’t want spoilers. I wonder if he will have any interviews before the show? I like the actual picture of the Glee band, rather than one of the shopped ones.

    Good discussion here about the Glee spoilers and thread. I totally agree with what appears to be the consensus here – that we’ll have a separate thread for the day of the show, that spoilers and leaks are fair game for the Chat thread, and that if we don’t want to be “spoiled” then it’s up to us to avoid exposure to them.

    Sounds good to me! Smile

    And AL, I love what you did with the pic! You got skillz!
