I actually like Wrecking Ball, the video is overtly sexual, and a bit much, however, it is artistic and well done. I thought, as I predicted, that Miley was fantastic last night on SNL. Once she gets past this “phase”, I do think she is here to stay. She can truly sing, the camera loves her, and she can act too.
I do think that was “our” Keisha Renee singing back up.

Love to see him out with the boys, like I said before, it seems like after a strong alpha male showing, he really gets back to his roots for some fun, clubbing and lipstick and jewelry. Big hoops earrings last night.

Well, the Glee leaks are staring to come. If he is having most scenes with Curt, Naya and Demi, maybe he is Demi’s brother, or ex-lover, or best friend. I really like Naya’s voice, she has a clarity that is special. IMHO, she is simply gorgeous too.
I also like the song Wrecking Ball and Miley’s heartfelt performance of it. She did a great job singing it last night on SNL. I also like the video, although I agree that the sledge hammer licking is distracting and unnecessary. Interestingly, the scenes where Miley is more or less clothed are more like soft porn than the nude scenes. The nude scenes are artistic and add to her vulnerability, but hardly necessary to convey the emotion of the song. On the other hand, I do have an issue with some of Miley’s other recent outfits or lack thereof. The outfit she wore at iHeart with the black pasties was just plain vulgar. She is talented enough that she doesn’t need to exploit her sexuality like that. Which then brings me to Lady Gaga, who has gone from wearing outrageous outfits to virtually nothing. Why is this okay on television when it is horribly scandalous for a man in a 3 piece suit to kiss another man? This double standard is just ridiculous.
Now on to lighter topics…Adam’s facial hair! I think he’s more beautiful without the facial hair, but more devilishly sexy with it. I’m partial to the sexier look, but love looking at him either way. I wonder if he’s just going to shave when he’s filming Glee episodes and keep the scruff in between.

Couldn’t agree more mmm222. When someone as talented and successful as Gaga feels she has to bow to the PTB that way, something is wrong. She literally delivered a bent-over bare butt moment in the middle of her MTV Awards performance and she didn’t have to. IMHO anyway.
I felt far less terrible about Miley because I’ve never thought of her as particularly talented. (Might have to watch SNL Wrecking Ball and revise my views a bit based on mils’s comments.) When a big star does it out-of-the-blue because she feels the NEED to do something specifically sexual for effect, that says a lot about what the industry and the culture is telling female performers. It’s a bit like Adam at the 2009 AMA’s watching everyone before him doing shocking stuff and making him feel that he had to improvise stuff to up-the-ante and be noticed.
Love Cher’s reversal and Sinead’s first letter was quite thoughtful but I prefer the answer that Rod Stewart gave when he was asked about Adam on The View: “Rock-and-Roll, Baby!” Whatever he thought, he wasn’t in for public judgments.

Thanks for the video of Sauli’s “Dancing On Ice” performance, luval. He is doing amazingly well, given that he couldn’t skate a few months ago. Little shaky in places but his gymnastic past is obviously a help in those turns. I heard he was the only one to jump in the first week of competition. Can’t imagine agreeing to a skating show when you can barely skate. Pretty adventurous idea.

According to MJ’s, FOX has optioned a Letterman-initiated show for Harry Connick Jr. The show is from CBS Studios apparently but FOX is buying it. First Demi in Glee and X Factor, now HCJr in Idol and a new sitcom. Hope FOX sees synergy potential in Adam.
Judging the Judges videos are a hoot. The Voice is about backstories? Don’t watch much – thought it was about the Voice, lol.
You guys are really getting into the new shows. This is the busiest time of the year at work. Will stick to Glee and the Good Wife; let you all tell me what’s worth watching after you’ve gotten a few episodes into the new ones.
It would be nice to see a bit of SMASH in Glee sparkle. Looks as though Ryan Murphy is stacking the New York storyline with talent. Maybe he wants to try and spin it off. Now that SMASH, Gossip Girls and SATC are gone, there is a big gap out there.

Funny, I used to think Adam was so good looking that he couldn’t get much better looking. But now I compare how he looks now to how he has looked before, and it’s amazing. Somehow, astoundingly enough, he just keeps getting better and better looking all the time! Where will it end? Just how good looking can he get?? Honestly, when I saw that pic, I knew immediately that some corners of the fandom would be in a tizzy today for better and for worse. Between the Adommy crays, the Sauli lovers, the Sauli haters, and now the Eli shippers, it’s a circus over there. Whenever I peak in over there at 24/7, it just makes me ever-more grateful for the sanity to be found here at ALL!
