Adam at iHeart – WWTLF – by Lilzy

After a busy September with an abundance of positive reviews of Adam’s appearance with Queen and on Avicii’s “True”, October should be a quiet month. He will be busy on GLEE but those shows will only be broadcast starting in November. Let’s hope for leaks and treats to keep us chatting – as if we needed an excuse!

Yeah, cwm I knew they moved and everyone on twitter was going on about the new space. It is still fun to speculate, but also why I said wishful thinking. Still am wishful thinking that the new space brings many more amazing photo shoots or album covers! Or at the least new single covers. I think that is a very real possibility!

Okay guys, LOL at me , home and bored, looking thingzes up, so, here’s a full circle: Ty Taylor is lead singer for Vintage Trouble. He was in Rockstar INXS, and didn’t win, he was runner-up. He was in the Zodiac Show with Adam. There was a bass guitar player there in Zodiac with Ty and Adam, named Rick Barrio Dill. He’s now in Vintage Trouble ( and killing it , so great ), he was in a band prior to this, which recorded with:

Nile Rodgers.

And this past year they were opening for : Brian May

All very interesting. At least to me. Maybe, if Queen plus Adam does get some gigs here, VT could open.
I would fly anywhere to see that!!

Interesting discussion here and elsewhere on the internet about the oversexualization of female performers. Miley is on such a strange career path; I guess she wants to be Rihanna 2.0. It would be one thing if these women had incredible musical talent, but they don’t. So it ends up being mostly (or all) about their sexualization. I fully appreciate the value of self-expression and female empowerment, but when their sexual display eclipses or replaces talent or real musicianship, then it’s pretty much just about the exploitation of women’s sexuality.

I resonated with Alisan Porter’s tweets. She and other female performers who just want to focus on the quality of the music and the singing must be really frustrated with where they see some women in the music industry going.

Interesting discussion here and elsewhere on the internet about the oversexualization of female performers. Miley is on such a strange career path; I guess she wants to be Rihanna 2.0. I love the way Brian has both of his arms outstretched to Adam, inviting him in for a big, proud, happy, loving hug. Such a great moment for all of them – knowing that, together, they just knocked it out of the park.

mils I LOVED Rockstar. Best singing show that was on. Such talented people. Funny enough I just sent texassome links from people I really liked. Ty, on the show, I didn’t really like him. He was 6th or 7th. The top 3 were MiG, Marty Casey and the winner who I despised JD Fortune. Ty went on a worked with Dave Navarro in his band after the show so he made a great impression on him.

But, really, in general, it seems like an outcry for real talent lately. Real songs with melody and real instruments. EDM aside.

Look at the acts that got the most media, the most critical acclaim from Iheart:

Elton- a true singer and musician, and entertainer.

Bruno- a true singer and songwriter and entertainer.

Justin- a true singer, songwriter and entertainer.

Queen/Adam- true singers, songwriters and entertainers.

I’m also expecting her to give an emotional performance of Wrecking Ball which will get big media attention.

She’s nude, crude and werking it straight to the bank.

On another whole note, I listened to the Elie Lieb cover again, I do love it, and his voice reminds me of David Cook very much. Does anybody else hear that?

ETA I still think that the “sex sells” attitude with these pop princesses is too much. It seems to really be escalating lately. I’m not a prude and can appreciate art when it happens, and if not can usually let it be, but raising girls to have a positive self image is difficult. I agree about Mileys tongue….thats the bit that annoys me the most, I’m so over it….so unattractive.

And nkd, I don’t mind her wrecking Ball video, apart from the licking of the sledgehammer, unnecessary and uncalled for in the video.

I quite like the little bit of facial scruff, just not the beard.
