As October begins, Adam has just announced the official radio add date (October 8) for Trespassing, which is the title track and the third U.S. single from his album of the same name. A Trespassing EP with a radio edit and album remixes will also be available on October 16. After limited success for the first two singles from Trespassing, Adam likely needs this third single to be a hit in order to continue onward with the Trespassing era, at least here in the United States.
After an October 13th concert date in Australia, Adam will return to the U.S. for a pair of dates during the second half of the month, on October 17th at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix, and on October 29th at the Texas Tango radio concert in Grand Prarie. I see his name for Moscow in this article. All I can understand is 2013 and his name.
I heard WWFM and IIHY a lot on my local stations during their eras, and my local HAC station played BTIKM a decent amount. But they never played NCOE. I haven’t been listening lately so don’t know about Trespassing, but I doubt it. It’s a small-city market, they are definitely not trail-blazers with their playlist. I’m gonna start requesting more earnestly though, now that I have more time.
So my husband just told me that he got an email for amazing airfares to Moscow and asked if I wanted to go next year. He was joking.

Amazon lists Trespassing at #51 of the Best Sellers of 2012 So Far, and the #8 Top Rated in Pop (inexplicably, listing in the top 7 FOUR editions of Stronger, which makes no sense – all with the SAME 385 ratings).
Anyway, the numbers Elliegirl spouts are purely in her head and wishful thinking on her part. NO ONE outside of RCA/Sony know the current actual US or international sales numbers for Adam’s album, EP or individual tracks. Numbers haven’t been reported for 2 1/2 months. Others there make “analyses” based on fan statements about charting in a few countries. They aren’t even aware of his many appearances, interviews, magazine covers/articles, performances, etc. The Arizona concert wasn’t even mentioned by MJ, even though a poster there went and reviewed it. And she underestimated the attendance, which the venue said was 7,000-8,000. They also aren’t aware of the numerous fan sites in many countries, and the number of fans involved.
I have lost track, there are so many – there’s even an Iranian fansite in Persian. Recently, one in Bulgaria popped up, also Hungary. And his visit to China and presence on Weibo is very important. He’s going beyond where any Idol has gone. MJs is just a little pimple on the ass of the planet and their worldview is about the size of a pinhead (APPROPRIATELY, I might add).
If Adam is planning 5 concerts in Japan (not 4), possibly a return to Russia, South Africa, possibly return to China – it must be with Sony/RCA’s blessing – plus, are they going to drop the only American who has ever fronted Queen formally for six concerts and will probably do it again? They do mention it in their press releases.

So Anoop is still performing and it looks as though his numbers are higher than some others. I like Anoop, I downloaded some of his music.
Krad, those numbers look pretty recent cause Kat McPhee is in te high bracket due to her success in “Smash”.
Adam is famous for being terrific live performer and I don’t think that he would schlep his ass to Russia for $50,000. It wouldn’t even cover transportation and other expenses.

I know it is missing WWFM, and Cuckoo, but this does not matter. I was pudding afterwards.
With vocal performances like this, and more of an acoustic backing, it really gives more power to the songs.
Adam is able to be the power, not the instruments.
He is able to be heard, giving us a memorable account & depth to the songs.
I loved it too twilightmagic8. Besides the acoustic performances and such a great interview, I loved hearing that version of Shady. A work in progress I suppose.

Morning! Just reading through the thread and I am not going to worry about RCA dropping Adam. If he can come out of 2012 with at least 200,000 in cd sales, that probably represents approximately $2,000,000 in sales; with maybe half of that in revenues to them. Not to mention any singles downloads that come out of BTIKM and the PLL episode.
It may very well be that RCA pushed out a soft-sell radio add and a remix cd on Trespassing to push up cd sales over the Christmas season. At this point they care about $$$$.
They just want the word Trespassing all over the place.
The higher the cd sales, the more respect Adam will get from the Grammy judges as well.

Follow-up to my 7:11 a.m. post. Trespassing cd had sold 151,000 by mid-July. If it averages 1,000 in sales per week for the rest of 2012, it would reach about 175,000 on its’ own. The fan Christmas gift initiative should add 10-15,000.
If PLL and Adam’s state fair concerts bring in a few more fans, we could see some extra sales.
I am curious about the remix sales – do you think AO had at least 10,000 of those?
I think there is something wrong with the vevo channel, Trespassing lyric video has stayed at the same number count for about 2 days now. pretty sure the other video haven’t changed numbers either.
Looks like tickets for beacon theatre event are almost sold out. I’m not surprised. Is any of you going?
