As October begins, Adam has just announced the official radio add date (October 8) for Trespassing, which is the title track and the third U.S. single from his album of the same name. A Trespassing EP with a radio edit and album remixes will also be available on October 16. After limited success for the first two singles from Trespassing, Adam likely needs this third single to be a hit in order to continue onward with the Trespassing era, at least here in the United States.
After an October 13th concert date in Australia, Adam will return to the U.S. for a pair of dates during the second half of the month, on October 17th at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix, and on October 29th at the Texas Tango radio concert in Grand Prarie. Too funny. I just finished watching a bunch of vintage trouble youtubes and now this (very nice!) picture came out. I really like this group a lot, and downloaded a bunch of their songs. I’d go to their concert in a hot second. The singer Ty Taylor was in those Zodiac performances. Interesting to watch them all grow up and find their niches.

I saw “This is It” in the movie theatre, luval, and it’s paints such a wonderful portait of Michael Jackson, the artist. I love the way he always followed up any slight critiques in rehearsals with the words “with love, with love”, as if to downplay the negative impact of his words. He must have known that slightest negativity from him could be crushing to people who adored him.
I was thinking about MJ when we heard about Adam’s voice being insured. When MJ died, a lot of people lost out on work and revenue – there must have been an insurance policy and they must have been compensated.
Salty liquorice – I am in for eating anything Sauli eats. Can’t believe I said that. mils is rubbing off on me.
I don’t like regular black licorice, but I do like salty food. I wonder what salty licorice would taste like. But don’t try to send it here cher, not with the catastrophic mail service. I would probably have to pay a fortune in customs. Governments try and get money in any way they can. And always from the little guy. The US isn’t any better. The IRS is now jumping on me now and wants me to pay taxes on my piddling Israeli pension even thought I had an exemption from paying anything when I was earning a salary. Ridiculous!
Trespassing is getting a nice bit of attention on two of the smaller charts and it seems to be pushing up the deluxe cd sales. I bought the radio edit and the other 3 remixes but haven’t completed the EP cd yet. Adam Storm doesn’t seem to know the best course of action at the moment, so I’m waiting until the dust settles.
Good luck with the pension issue rs. It’s never nice to have the government looking over your shoulder. I once delayed paying my taxes for a year (don’t ask) and was worried sick. When I finally sent it in with an apology, they processed it without a word and GAVE ME A REFUND!!! Think it might have been a different story if I had owed them.

I love all this new attention that Adam is getting since PLL. And it was just a taste. They didn’t get the whole songs, so the kids had to run to find more. Can you imagine what would happen if they heard him on their radios?
The question, is what now? What is the long term effect? Is this the beginning of a roll? Do the radio PDs pick up on the fact that there is potential and money to be made from this over the hill 30 year old theatrical gay guy? Will they give him a spin? Or do they go back into their closed minded holes and keep ignoring him. Adam will be fine, but it is their loss and the loss of the kids who are saying now “where has he been? why haven’t I heard him before now?

This radio thing is really driving me nuts. Adam, Trespassing, has been in the Top 5 requested songs in Dallas everyday for 2 weeks. Last week he was either #4 or #5 each day. This week he was at #4 Monday and Tuesday, yesterday, after PLL he was #3 and today he was #2. They do play it a few times a day but they play Phillips “home” every hour and it has not made the countdown once. Just needed to vent a minute
I really try to always be positive but man, sometimes it is just so hard!! I think this proves if radio would play it people will request it because they like it. GRRRRR

Mils, He’s not played in Chicago either. I have never heard anything from the Trespassing era on any station. He did make the Mix where listeners could pick the songs but never just as a part of their regular rotation. The meme at MJ’s is he’ll be dropped by the end of the year because the EP didn’t make the Billboard 200. According to Elliegirl, because of his sales here he definitely isn’t selling internationally and RCA will be done with him. One little tidbit that was mentioned was that Adam will have a concert in Moscow in 2013. Maybe someone could find out if this is just rumor.
No such luck here either, mils. I have yet to hear Trespassing on the radio. I keep listening to FRESH 94.7 thinking that would be my best bet because they have been very supportive of Adam. No dice!

I live between San Diego and Los Angeles and have heard only WDYWFM 3 times. You would think Adam’s home area but nothing. I request Trespassing all the time at 104.3MYfm but no cigar.
Well, no change in Hampton Roads (southeast VA). WWFM was rarely heard (and only once by me) on the Ryan Seacrist countdown show when it was in rotation elsewhere but only on that show.
Nothing from Trespassing. I’m not holding my breath.

apal123 – I think we need to be careful about declaring what constitutes a “meme” at MJs. I was just now reading today’s numbers thread, and only three people (among many) posted pessimistic predictions about Adam being dropped (same suspects as usual). That doesn’t count as a meme in my book. I think we pay way too much attention to the pessimists and nay-sayers like Elliegrll. They’re just regular people with opinions and speculations; they don’t know any more than we do. When people put up posts like that, of course it takes over the thread because then everyone else comes in with their opinions to provide a different or broader perspective. But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s all just opinion and speculation by a small number of persistent people who clearly don’t like Adam and don’t want to see him succeed. Yawn.
I too am very frustrated by radio, but I refuse to predict doom and gloom. Adam continues to have many opportunities and options available to him and is continuing to grow his fanbase, especially internationally.
