Almost two years ago. Never to be duplicated. There are simply certain performances that reflect a certain time, a certain place, a certain cast of mind that those who have viewed it know that it is something unique and will not – could not – be replicated.
All great performers have iconic performances. This is one of Adam’s – and I hope for many more to come.
Absolutely ultimathule. I think the point I was trying to make, even to myself, was that if he had done that performance with the dorky hair shave and construction attire, it would have been just as incredible! Sexy is sexy, and when he performs like that, it’s just sexy!
Of course…dressed as a shaman transporting our spirits to another level, is just something in itself!
I’ll raise my glass to many more iconic performances to come!

I had a very tenuous Adam moment last night. I was doing face painting (actually cheek art) at my youngest’s school Halloween disco and I’d made a few designs for the kids to choose from, and guess which was the most popular…The eye of Horus…..and guess where the inspiration for that design came from!

Re iconic performances…there is no way I could ever have attended Fantasy Springs, but I think it is the performance that I will always regret missing. Everything about it was a little bit ___ (fill in adjective here, I can’t!) in ways unlike any other performance. “shaman transporting our spirits to another level” – maybe that is what belongs in the blank!

I feel really good now as I finally got on MJ’s and was able to post. I lost my avatar but was not sure I wanted to use the same one so while deciding I put up one of my pictures with Adam. I wanted most of Adam in the avatar and I’m short so the picture starts right at my chin. I’ll probably change it later. Now if I can just concentrate and hook up my new wireless printer. I need tech support

The Advocate cover and lengthy interview – Double YAY!! Beg For Mercy released; Monte’s apparent/possible support of it questioned; hate and blame flung at Monte – Boo. Adam in the studio with Nile Rodgers – Yay! Nile says wonderful things about Adam and compares him to legends and icons – Double YAY! Beg For Mercy album taken down from retailers – Yay! BFM single still for sale – Boo. Adam unfollows Monte and their long-time friendship and partnership appears to be over or at least strained because of BFM and/or music/career directions – Double BOO! Adam looking lovely at the Supper Club with Sauli – Yay! Adam re-shaves his hair higher on the sides and is now (lovingly) accused of having Lego hair – Boo (and LOL!). Adam loves Halloween and his costume pics are due anytime – Yay!

jlurksacto, I can’t believe how creative some folks are. My twitter feed feels that part of Sauli’s picture is cut off and Adam may have been holding his hand. They are asking why aren’t we seeing Adam too. Some feel he’s going back to NY as Nile Rogers tweets he’s working on Adams song. I feel that Nile can do the musical tracks without Adam being there. What Halloween party is he attending? Lots of tweeting going on re Adam today, nice to see so much interest. There seems to be a hint of excitement, hope that means new music is on the horizon.

Yesterday I saw Chris Daughtry perform the NA at the final game of the World Series. I know this was also mentioned upthread (nkd?). I’m wondering….
Does RCA arrange these gigs or is it a personal management thing? Why not give Adam the opportunity??? We all know (including his management) that Adam would totally knock this song out of the ballpark.
Do these performers actually stay for the entire game? If this is the case, I could see where this may not be Adam’s focus. Thoughts??
Dcglam, I was thinking the same for a long time, and the only explanation I have is that somehow Adam and Ball Games do not add up.Adam can sing circles around Scotty, Kris, Chris etc, but maybe in the eyes of common sports fan he is not manly enough to sing NA at these events?? No matter how stupid this opinion is I have seen it expressed to often on Internet. Typical sports fan would rather have LeeDewyze butchering Star Spangled Banner than listen to that “weird fucking faggot”. Sad, but true..

Lee might not butcher it as much as Daughtry did last night. Started too hi, voice cracked, couldn’t hit hi notes. Not good. Maybe Adam doesn’t care to sing at major sporting events. Thank you for your NA thoughts, Oksana, ultimathule, and JOJOSIE. I know that Siobhan Magnus performed the NA at the Celtics vs. Heat playoff game. I also know that she is from Massachusetts and wore a Celtics jersey for this performance. I’m thinking that this connection does help the case. The fact that Adam doesn’t have a real connection to any sports team might be the factor that keeps him from this audience. Too bad for them and very sad!!

Saw a zombie parade last week in Madison. Halloween is downright professional there on campus. There were probs 100-150 zombies going down State Street protesting our Governor. The Undead, if you will. Hilarious.

Adam may have a connection to the Raiders. Dadbert sent him a picture of the new Raiders shirt. It was black with AL in white big letters on the front. He ask Adam if he wanted one and Adam said he certainly did. If you don’t know the AL is in memory of Raider owner Al Davis, who recently died.
