Well, fall has arrived and it’s time for our October chat thread. This is the sixth monthly chat we’ve had on the site. Thought about using a Burning Man photo for this month, but decided to continue with the Adam getting awards theme with this photo of Adam and Leila at the 2nd annual PFLAG National LA Event.

Still hoping for a new single sometime soon, but maybe not this month. Enjoy the chat!

    The Advocate interview was just so…well..Adam. In a nutshell. Very nicely done, appropriate questions.

    When discussing the shirt he wore for the photo shoot, I thought it was probably the same time frame as the Canada concert, and that his drapey deep black v-neck was probably by the same designer.

    And, his eight pounds of makeup comment seemed to come right after he was in NY and filmed PR with Heidi Klum, who was asking “why” does he wear so much makeup?

    I loved The Advocate interview, but I love the ‘out takes’ one even more. He’s such an interviewers dream, none of the constant umms and ah’s seen so often in other pop stars interviews. I wish there was video of it, I love watching Adam talk as much as I love watching him sing.

    It looks as though Adam’s appearance on Majors and Minors is now scheduled for Sunday, October 30. Only a week from Sunday!

    Love the extended interview!

    How are we ever going to get that boy out of the studio when all these amazing collaborators keep popping up? It may not be perfection that is delaying him but thinking about what incredable opportunity may be lurking around the next corner. I am so happy for him and thrilled that he is getting to work with such a variety of uber talented artists. It may keep us waiting a bit longer but it really is exciting.

    I so agree, adamized. We feel very fortunate for Adam to be working with many big names in the business, but notice how all of these artists talk about how honored they feel to be working with him.

    By the way, I just saw an advertisement commercial on TV for Susan Boyle’s new album. Evidently, it’s now on presale at Amazon. Brings back memories…….

    I do love love that Adam is getting to work with so many amazingly talented people. I love that they are all so excited to work with him also.
    The idea of Adam and funk makes me giddy! I can just imagine the possibilities of what’s being created.

    Isn’t it amazing that Adam worked today with Nile Rodgers, the very co-producer of Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” album – the very song Adam sang on the AI tour! I bet they had a lot to talk about! So happy for him. Maybe some funk in our future!

    Kradamour, I thought about you when I read Adam’s description of the “glow” when he met Sauli – remember you said you felt something when he walked by you in Ste. Agathe?

    riskylady, I thought the same thing when I read the interview. Sauli has a very tangible aura, I felt it even in that split second when he passed by.
    In fact it was the aura that got my attention before I turned my head and saw Sauli and realized that it was coming from him. Made me so happy for Adam!

    Woke up this morning to see the new Nile “Berting” tweets. This must seem like more and more of a dream to Adam. From singing for his supper at the Upright Cafe to being in a studio with Nile Rogers.

    Krad, not sure it was Sauli’s aura that got you to turn around or me screaming “Sauli” in a high pitched girly-girl voice as he walked by Smile

    Off to spend the weekend in the country. Keeping my fingers crossed that there is wi-fy. Am simply addicted to my iphone. Why did I wait all these years????

    Oh. On the topic of JB. I made a pledge to myself to see Kelly Clarkson live at some point since so many people (including Adam) have said she has an amazing live voice. I would be very happy to withstand the screaming of a zillion tweens to see Adam and Kelly if it was somewhere on the east coast. Any other takers???

    Eta… Just realized you were talking about a jingle ball. Now I’m not so sure. GA and 20 min or less of Adam. So we’ll see … If it ever happens.

    eta again…but the more I think about it, the idea that many of us could get together again sounds just peachy!!!

    Sometimes when I read AdamLambert 24/7 I wonder if it’s his fansite or offspring of some hate blog.
    I try to read comments on MJ, but if I leave it and come back after several hours I have to read all comments all over again due to the nesting system.It’s a little annoying.
    And the resident Adam hater is posting her nonsense again. I don’t mind her having a different opinion but she is just spilling venom.
    Whatever.

    They don’t want us to get one inkling of new music. It would start a firestorm of “what? I hate it…this is what we’ve been waiting for? ugh”, OR “OMG…I love it…please please please have it be on the album”.

    eta…possibly they don’t want any other musicians to hear it either…they could copy or imitate it.

    Thank god we got Outlaws of Love. And it better be on the album or else….. Smile

    Watched it again. His “I love it, that sounds sick” seemed a little weak to me. I’ll bet an experienced guitar player could watch Niles’ fingers and figure out the beat.

    Just what I was thinking, but if taken to its end could go on for a while! Like domino blocks – producer A does a recording with Adam, tells slightly better producer B how awesome it was, Producer B thinks, hey I wanna get in on this action at the beginning and does a track with Adam. Bis blown away and tells slightly better Producer C, who thinks…etc,etc.
    So what I want to know now is, where does Nile Rogers fit in the pantheon? Is he close to the top? Is the love-in almost over? Or are there ten more A++++ producers just hankering to get them some Adam tracks?

    It makes me laugh, just thinking about the possibilities. It’s like being the most popular girl at the dance. Adam must be just so tickled. And yes, I don’t blame him and who knows, he may end up with 2 albums’ worth of material, and if no.2 is a hit, we won’t have to wait for no.3

    Well, Calgary, not to open a can of worms, but I did read a couple of weeks ago that David Guetta said he would love to work with Adam, and then there is a biggie:
    Red One (Gaga, etc.) who was scheduled for FYE but they never could get the schedules to mesh, what with the AI tour, etc. And we haven’t heard peep from Max Martin or Dr. Luke this time around.
    Not that I want any of those this time – seems like Adam is going for a different kind of sound. Hopefully they’re getting very close now…..

    I had a small Adam moment at work yesterday. I picked out a book to read to kindergarten next week and I was looking for a coloring page or a project to go with the book. I typed in the book name on google and a twitter page link came up. I clicked on it thinking the author had a twitter page and thought there might be activity links. The page that came up was just a woman’s page whose twitter name was the same as the title of the book. And there she was posing with Adam. lol

    all these tweets from Nile Rodgers have been so great to read. Adam must be stoked to see his name in the same sentance as his icon, Bowie. I hadn’t heard of Nile Rodgers (have be learning a bit from reading these blogs), but judging by the amount of flailing going on across the boards, its a pretty big deal for Adam to be working with him. And they seem to have clicked straightaway. Don’t know of Jean Morisson either, but love her tweets too.
    I was actually being quite patient over the album, but I can feel my patience wearing off with all these tweets….He seems to have enough songs for 2 albums, so I’d like one released for christmas and one a few months down the line…thats not being ‘entitled’ is it?
    And did anyone notice, I finally managed to log on to MJ’s with the new format, yeh, its good after 2 years of lurking. And it seems that there were quite a few of us that were in the same boat about not being able to register, makes me feel less of a plonker, lnowing it was the site and not me…

    Cool! I just got a message on the fansite from the young girl who was across the barrier/alley from us at Ste Agathe! That was her first Adam concert, I wrote about her in my recap. Her profile on the fansite has a great gif of Adam with a lollipop, as well as the codpiece photo. Smile

    Sounds like Adam has a great album in the works. I can be patient. I want this to be all that he ever wished for. It’s a very important, critical album…a break from AI.

    Hey, Northern Spirit! So nice to hear from you! I agree, I like Guetta too – I just want Adam to hurry up and finish already! I guess there is still some time before the album comes out next year, but for a single they would be cutting it kind of close.
    To paraphrase,

    For those of you who missed Adam Lambert`s Glam Nation tour – Shame on you! It was a spectacular show! What the hell were you doing that night that was soooo important, anyway? Doesn’t matter, no excuse!

    Nah, we’re just playin’ with ya! It’s all good. But you did miss a really great show and though it won’t really compare to seeing him live, Glambert’s provided all you fans with the second best thing.
