Well, fall has arrived and it’s time for our October chat thread. This is the sixth monthly chat we’ve had on the site. Thought about using a Burning Man photo for this month, but decided to continue with the Adam getting awards theme with this photo of Adam and Leila at the 2nd annual PFLAG National LA Event.

Still hoping for a new single sometime soon, but maybe not this month. Enjoy the chat!

    Thank God no sex tape! That thing would be hotter than the tapes in Nixon’s office during Watergate!!! Adam is SO beautiful that a sex tape featuring him would be high demand. No doubt he was offered the opportunity, of that I am sure, but his instincts are good and I know he pats himself on the back for having better sense than to fall into that trap. We always say how smart our BB is!!!

    Yes, Adam looks very young, but he is only 29. The Real 29.
    He looks even younger with Karmit baby. But look at Ebert and Leila.Good genes are good genes.
    This picture should also calm down some folks who were wondering where was Sauli. For heaven sake , boys are not joined by the hips and it’s great that Sauli was able to create his own circle of friends in LA. I like him even more for that.

    Oksana, you are so funny and always make me laugh! I do agree that it is great that Sauli has somewhat acquired a life of his own in LA. I would think that uprooting himself from Finland to LA had to be quite a challenge for Sauli. IMO, he handled it like a pro, and I couldn’t be happier.

    levine, oksana2000… I’ve never seen tuti post in perfect English. I believe her English has been improving because she’s taking lessons. She’s Kuwaiti..young female..family well off, pretty much on her own in Adam fandom since over there Adam is a no-no and she has to keep her obsession private.

    wyked_whyspers: welcome. I am glad you posted. I always like a thoughtful, respectful post like yours, even if I don’t totally agree. We are all Adam fans around here, but I don’t think that means we have to agree on everything.

    It seems like a bunch of us had different thoughts about the Monte-Adam relationship at various times. I have mine, too. I appreciate everything Monte has done for Adam, and I think Monte appreciates what Adam has done for him.
    I feel that since I am not privy to any insider information, it just might not be my place to speculate too much, especially since Adam is not saying anything more. I hope that their friendship will not be put under too much strain by these album releases. Annoying as they are, I don’t believe they will hurt Adam’s career in any significant way.

    jlurksacto thanks for the great pics and link to Sauli’s blog translation. Both of the boys look very young and lovely in the pics. Sam Sparro looks great as well. Still not loving the hair but it is “growing” on me.

    I noticed in the Showgirls pictures that Adam and Sauli seem to share the same taste in drinks. Looks like a gin and tonic or vodka and tonic. The magazines were probably freebies from what looks like a swag bag beside Sauli. Pictures are a nice diversion from the recent fan dramas. I sure think Sauli is a cutie, they make a beautiful couple.

    In my opinion, no. I have been thinking about this a lot today while I ran errands and did other mindless things.

    I think that purchasing the CD is not the act of a bad fan IF:
    1. It is not purchased instead of the new music, but in addition to it.
    2. We do not promote the CDs to other peeps/nonfans as examples of what Adam is doing today.

    In my opinion, for a fan to buy them, to listen to them, even to treasure them as historical music and a part of Adam’s past – none of these acts violate our trust with Adam, or harm him in any way.

    I don’t think that our fandom requires us to “punish” the producer of the questionable CDs by not buying them (although I could understand if someone else did not share that view). As I explained in my post above, I have no problem with the producer making money as a result of his gamble on Adam years ago.

    But – in my opinoin – our fandom does require us to respect Adam’s wishes re OUR promotion of the CDs to others.

    On a cheerier note, loved the pics of Adam at Showgirls! Sauli is just getting more and more handsome. Gorgeous couple. And as someone posted above, he is totally to be respected for working at making his own place in LA. I’m ready to lay bets, though, that at least part of Christmas is spent in Finland! Wonder if there will be a one-off concert there then? It could happen! Smile

    Think the shorter hair contributes to Adam’s looking younger. The very high “do” is a more mature look, and I was getting bored with it. Apparently Adam was, too.

    Kradamour, do you realize how cold it is in Finland during Christmas? I don’t think that Adam has one piece of clothing in his Cali closet that would be sufficient to keep him warm. He was freezing his butt off when he was in Helsinki last year and it was only beginning of November.
    You are talking about Brussel Sprout, who wears 3 layer of clothing in a summer. No, I don’t see him in Finland during the X-mas time, but Sauli might be tempted to visit his family during the holidays.
    However..people do unpredictable things in a name of love, right? So I might be wrong, and you might be right.

    Hey everybody — long time no post! Between work and home responsibilities I’ve been over-busy. I’ve managed to lurk and keep up with Adam and you all, but not really take the time to post. So it’s good to be back. Smile

    I appreciate the reasonable and thoughtful discussion here about the BfM and TPS albums. Not to beat a dead horse, but I feel like I should express my opinion. I was pissed off about these albums when I learned about them, for reasons that have already been expressed here re: the opportunistic and IMO unethical and exploitative timing, packaging, and marketing of them. I don’t have a problem with Welsford wanting these tracks to see the light of day and make money off of them, but if they had been clearly packaged as pre-idol/early days songs from Citizen Vein featuring Adam Lambert and released after Adam’s sophomore album, rather than right before, then I would have much less problem with it.

    I was relieved in a sense to see that Monte was as surprised by the releases as was Adam, indicating that Monte had no involvement in the release. Apparently the other guy on The Paramount Sessions album, Steve Cooke, was totally taken by surprise as well:

    The producer Welsford really blew it, IMO. If he had marketed and timed these albums honestly, he would have greatly pleased Adam’s fans, probably sold quite a few units, and not hurt Adam in the process. Instead, in his zeal to exploit the excitement for Adam’s new album and turn a quick buck, he chose to (unethically and dishonestly) confuse casual fans, antagonize informed fans, and potentially hurt Adam in the process.

    It’s a bummer and it pisses me off, because I would have loved to buy a legitimate release of the Citizen Vein recordings. But Welsford is playing dirty with Adam so it’s kind of tainted for me now. Hopefully it won’t have anything more than a small impact on Adam’s #2 album sales.

    It has also been discouraging to see all of the drama that this has created in the fandom, so I’m looking forward to getting the drama behind us and focusing on Adam’s new music!

    This is so not true!! Smile Tuti posted about herself long ago on MJs. That’s how I knew. Think she said at the time she was 18. She doesn’t understand a lot of what’s happening in the music biz and her English is still not very good. Probably not taking lessons anymore. At least she tries even though her reasoning seems a bit weird to us. The main thing is she wants Adam to be very successful and a big world star. Same thing we want too. She means well. Smile

On another sight, someone said that Kris A was having a chat but you had to be a member of his official “street team” to have access. What is a street team and what is their function? How do you become a member? Is it a fan club thing? Finally, does Adam have one and what do they exactly do?

    On a happier note (than my last post), I gotta say that I rather like Adam’s new haircut! I have to say, I LOVED his “wolf” style from St Agathe and Project Runway – that was probably my favorite look ever on him, and I do miss that. But this style has a cool edge to it, is different and interesting, and isn’t too severe. It’s fun to see him mixing it up again. I’m really curious to see what kind of look he went for with his album cover.

    Re: tuti over at MJ’s — cher is right. I remember when tuti first posted there, because I remember welcoming her. She is indeed a young girl from Kuwait, and I was impressed that someone from Kuwait was on the blog. She’s not a troll, but her English is broken, she’s uninformed about the music business, and I guess you could say she has a tendency to perseverate. Wink But I agree with cher that she means well and wants Adam to be a star.

    nekkid – thanks for posting that list of Adam quotes! We could have fun with those for quite some time. Smile

    One that makes me LOL and SMH: “I kind of like things dangling over my head.” Oh Adam.

    My all-time favorite quote of Adam’s is when someone asked him what he does with his days: “I prepare. I create. I love.” Sigh.

    After finally seeing up-close pics of Adam’s new do, I have to say that I really like it. My first reaction was that he looked TONS younger; then I came on this site and saw that I wasn’t alone in that assessment! It’s funny, because the first time he shaved the sides with those little line-thingies carved in (back around when I saw him in Milwaukee and Indiana), I wasn’t too crazy about it. This style, though, really suits him, IMO, so it may just be that I’m finally getting adjusted to his chameleon-like ways. I particularly love the pics with Sauli and Sam Sparrow. Adam and Sauli look so happy. It’s just so sweet.

    -Adam looks so young, he even looks younger than Sauli. If this hair style and cool clothes are the look for his cover, it would be awesome, current and hip for the new era for his sophomore album.

    cher, I haven’t done anything about twitter yet. I have Face Book but hardly go there. Many times I got e-mail messages telling me that I have 9 pendings waiting. LOL!! That bad!

    About tuti, I thought she was a young teenage boy from Kuwait or Indonesia.

    I like tuti. She likes Adam and some rock singers like James and Daughtry. She tells it as it is with her broken English. It’s amusing when she says Adam looks old, wears old clothes, sings old songs. I think she wants Adam to rock and wail in every song. She means well and wants Adam to be a super star and a rock god.

    But sometimes I wonder if she is really who she wants us to think who she is because of her English. I can’t figure it out.

    English is also not my native language. But like Oksana, I always check and correct the errors and there are plenty of them. for example, it took me 1 hour to write and post the one to wyked- yesterday. The thinking process in other language is the hard part and it slows down the writing.

    So one liner is prolly better for me. Grin

    Also, asif, maybe you already know this (and please forgive me if you do!), but you don’t need to have a twitter account to see Adam’s (or anyone else’s) tweets. Just go to that person’s page and you can see all their tweets.

    I don’t know about the rest of you, but I got such a kick out of looking at Adam’s arms in the photo with Carmit’s baby. His arms are literally covered with freckles! Especially visible when viewed full size, teehee Grin Those freckles are so (not) rock and roll but I love ’em. LOL Smile
