Following Adam’s favorite time of the year, he continues to promote TOH around the world. First, a concert close to home at the Napa Vineyards and then a few events in China before heading to Paris. He wraps up the month in Texas starting his onslaught of Xmas radio performances. I’m tired just reading about his travels!

Agree the X Factor would be better, I’ve been watching the x factor this year but hardly ever turn over for the xtra factor…but its still good….hopefully they’ll give a shout out to him on the main show and people will switch over…I get both programmes on my tv..so yay Adam on the big screenSmile

    Since friday night everything is so different. I dont know why these last attacks are hitting me so hard. Maybe its because Paris isnt far away… Maybe its because a few days later many Glamberts and some dear friends would have been in Paris at a concert… Maybe its because they attacked a concert and I love going to concert especially smaller ones like the one at Bataclan…

    Friday night I was waiting for Adam performing at Sweden Idol watching a bit of the football game when I got the first news of the attacks. Since then I cant get it out of my head not being able to really enjoy anything but talking with family, friends and crying…I cried for the dead ppl, cried for the family and still crying. It hit me so so hard.

    Some of my friends wont go to Paris anymore. Still not sure if they plan to go through with the concert. The news that there may still be a team of terrorists on the run…

    This night will be in my memory forever like 9/11. I will remember it deep in my heart. We lost again some freedom, peace, happiness and hope. Hope that our children wont grow up to a world of hate, hurt, murder..a world full of terrorists, suicide bombers and war.

    It will be always on my mind, everytime I will go to a concert I will remember it, will remeber the happy people who just wanted to enjoy music like me, will remember the pain.
    I am afraid of the reactions. The talks about war and ground forces…I dont want to think about it…It will never stop.

    Today all of us are trying to go back to normal, its hard…trying to find some peace, love and joy with fellow Glamberts and Queenies.

    Freddie and Brian wrote a song in 1984 “Is This The World we created…?” At that time it was written for Africa and the famine. But I dont think there will ever be a time when we cant ask ourselves this question. Anyways…

    Cait I understand how you feel. This one is hitting hard. Probably because our dear daughter-in-law is from Paris. She lives here now and luckily her family was in Normandy at the time. But it really hit close to home for us too.

    Prayers to Paris and everyone with ties there.

    Cait, thank you for so beautifully sharing your feelings with us here. Your feelings are real, and felt by so many.

    The blog has been very quiet since Friday, I check in several times daily, and look at something pretty, just to keep my head up with this newest horrible event.

    I’ve been speechless. But, Cait, you wrote so beautifully what I haven’t been able to express.

    The terrorists did what they have done so well in other parts of the world ( especially in Israel ) by targeting places where people congregate and enjoy life, cafes, restaurants, stadiums, and theaters. By doing this, they have done what Bono said, they have attacked the arts and music.

    This is so much more profound than our Adam’s show being cancelled. Life will and must go on. Shows will go on.

    I loved your reference to the Queen song. It is simply beautiful and haunting.

    Thank you for your post cait. Yes, it is very upsetting. I have lived with terror attacks here for the past 40 years. One very important thing to remember, though. The minute the the fear of terror attacks closes down a city and keeps people from living their lives, going out, enjoying concerts, art museums, dining out, etc……then the terrorists have achieved their goal and won. As hard as it is, living our lives the way we want to (of course with the correct precautions) is the best way to stand up to them.

    eta: What’s frightening to me is that many young people are clueless. Nurses that I work with have never heard of Osama Bin Laden, ANY terrorist attacks, absolutely nothing on what’s happening in the world weather it’s the climate, politics, terrorism…anything that’s on the news. And these are fanatical social media people (facebook, etc).

    Yes, luval, so many are so naive and don’t know a thing about what goes on in the world. The rise of so much media, including social, allows people to only see what they want to see. Why watch real reality when reality TV is so much more fun? It makes me sick at heart sometimes to hear people talking and have no knowledge of the news.

    Our Western press simply does not report on the terrorism around the world the way that it is reported in so many other countries. The news out of France is excellent, and our press considers this a huge story, as they should, because it IS, but, so many other acts of terrorism simply aren’t covered. Sorry. I’m getting off-line. I’m getting political.

    Has Adam or his media announced his concert being cancelled?
