After indulging us with plenty of Halloween treats, Adam will now be providing us with a feast for our ears and eyes as he performs on TV and in concert.
This month, Adam joins the GLEE cast and that means sweet new music on iTunes and savory videos on Youtube.
If you prefer to see Adam live then there are a few concert options in Florida. How about a Thanksgiving dinner with Adam as the main course?! or dessert?!!
And if seeing him on TV or in concert is not enough, we can always count on photos of him hanging out at his favorite LA haunts!

    Shoshanna said a couple of weeks ago when someone asked about Charities that Adam still wants donations to Charity Water.

    To post a link: In the address bar – highlight the entire thing right click the click on the “copy” option. The go to where you want it posted get the cursor to blink then right click again, and choose “paste.” That’s it. Grin

    That article on Ga Ga is so exaggerated. She did sell her last album for $1 to get those massive sales and Billboard did change the rules after that to make it fair. You have to at least charge $3.25 or more for it to count. This time she sold them on Amazon for $5. She is not hurting but with the huge sale of her CD (and she offered her album a day early) with expectations closer to 500,000 or more, I am sure it hurt but only Miley and Katy have beat her. (That alone might keep her up nights..LOL) I think they took the garbage part from Perez. I would think there are lots of better things you could “fake” than having massive hip surgery and having to take time off instead of getting your album done when the iron was hot.

    nkd I actually liked the picture. It is so different than most and I just thought it was interesting. I don’t save a ton of pictures but for some reason I saved that one.

    Okay, so I followed the links on that fanfic thing posted earlier about relationships, to the Out article.

    Yes. THAT interview that sparked so much.

    I have a confession to make: I never read it before. It was so loaded with the aftermath of the AMA’s, I never ordered it or followed links, at the time I hadn’t developed any tech skills, and just never read it. Or the open letter, then time went by, and I guess I never thought twice about it again.

    So, now that I have. It was a great and candid interview. But in reading the open letter and the response, it still doesn’t say exactly what happened. Was it that his team asked the interviewer to stay away from a subject? Or what?

    All I know is that it, in part, caused our guy to have anger and explode at the AMA’s. After being in a national spotlight on TV, after a long tour, after being the target of hate on tour by WB “church”, after making an album while on tour, after being a huge media magnet, after breaking up with Drake, after seeing his idols kill it on stage, and after being given the closing slot on the show, he did what he did.

    I’m only bringing this up, because by coincidence my workbert did just the other day.

    So, can somebody please put it into simple words for me, once and for all? I’m over it, waaaaaay over it, but, I need to be able to have a conversation with my friend about this.

    OMG. I’m sorry nkd. I just didn’t like that pic. Big deal. I’m still glad you posted it.

    I just don’t think it’s very old. I remember seeing a photo shoot where he had those hand and finger wraps with different styles of clothing. That hair almost looks like a wig.

    It’s just not a flattering picture, but there may have been others from that same photo shoot that were tons better.

    IMHO.

    The bare bones as I remember, mils, was that Adam’s people said he didn’t want to talk politics. The rag agreed, but then complained about it afterwards in an open letter by the publisher directly to Adam. And this after Adam gave him such an open and heart-felt interview.

    Ok, so that was AMAZING!! Such a thrill! We totally nailed it and it was so glorious! WOW. I was completely in the moment and not nervous at all. Just sang to the rafters and sang my heart out. So joyous and an incredible feeling to create something so beautiful together. And we got Bravos and standing O’s in Carnegie Hall baby!!

    OMG listen to me. Can you tell I had a fabulous time?! Razz Still pinching myself.

    Think also, mils, the publisher was an older gay and politics was his way of making progress. Adam, at that time, wasn’t ready for that – he was just getting his sea legs on being in the public eye.

    Adam’s also said that he thought of himself as part of the post-gay generation – that just living his life openly was enough. However, as we’ve seen, he’s come around to a combination of the two.

    nkd I think it IS from the same photoshoot with Brad Bell though I’m not certain. There are pics of them together and also separate. I saw the name of the shoot yesterday but can’t find it again! Enlarged, it’s a nice pic, I think. However, the clothes look different, so it may be an edit. It reminds me of those manipulated images where they put Adam’s head into a painting. The fan artist may have used an image that photo shoot with Brad. Then again, the shirt does match! Adam probably added fur for his solo pic, makes sense.

    well, there you go…I have something in common with ‘Elliott’…I don’t like Olives either!!

    I haven’t read that article yet Mils, and never read it at the time….but I thought the gist of it was that the editor basically called him out for not being ‘gay’ enough, whatever that means. Maybe that has something to do with the politics of it all.

    Congrats cwm, glad it all went well….what an amazing memory for you to treasure.

    So sorry for making you feel bad. I was poking fun at the pic, not your admiration for it. Truthfully, Adam’s face was actually beautiful. It was the dreamy pose and the “foxfur” that made me laugh. He is such a dingbat sometimes.

    Please keep bringing every pic you have. Heck, look at the pics in the Bradam folder that luval posted. Lot of hot messes there.

    Hi mils. Ulti’s bare bones account of the OUT debacle was dead on.

    What was behind it? IMHO, it was the fact that Adam was receiving almost universally bad press from openly gay writers, right down to a whole bunch of them saying that they were GLAD Adam lost.

    The OUT open letter was written on the assumption that Adam was easy game. What OUT found out over the course of a long Friday was that Adam’s fans AND a lot of the LGBTQ community had had enough of it. Read and weep:

    Many other gay writers like Michael Musto at Village Voice piled on (though Michael backed off when he had a bit more info about Adam in general.)

    I was one of the first to read the OUT article. Many of us were thrilled and posting compliments. Then one of us found the open letter. Things went full tilt the other way in minutes. Check out the online comments. A lot of fans were from AI. Many were straight and a lot of them were just pissed at the intellectual dishonesty of the whole thing.

    At 3:00 pm the thin-skinned editor, Aaron Hicklin, couldn’t take it any more and he made the writer post a response. The reaction to her response was even greater.

    A lot of people were of the opinion that Adam OTT’d his AMA performance in an attempt to prove, once and for all, to his own community, that he wasn’t running away from his sexuality. He admitted that the finger he gave at the end of FYE was for Aaron Hicklin. Of course, the media reaction was to ban him, which made matters worse.

    There is small coda to the story. Adam was lucky to have his mom and brother with him over the following Thanksgiving weekend. They left on Sunday but he stayed in NYC for a mid-week event. In an interview a couple of weeks later, someone asked him when was the last time he had cried. He said he was watching a scene from Gossip Girl. I had seen that episode – it was the Monday after Thanksgiving, the day after his family had departed. he was probably watching alone in his hotel room. The scene was sad but I honestly think the whole thing had piled up to the point where he needed a good cry.

    TLKC Thanks so much for your account about what led up to OUTgate!
    The gay press and community were not friendly to Adam, plus being in the spotlight as a gay artist was so new to him, after being out in his personal life since he was 18 with no problems, it must have been overwhelming to him. His AMA finger was to them, not the audience. Thank god he’s gotten past it. My brother wouldn’t let me mention Adam for a couple of years, so he really alienated people with that performance. It had none of the humor that’s in the FYE music video. He seemed angry more than fierce to me. I think all the pressure got to him. He’s learned to deal beautifully now and is a pro at it!

    Also, very interesting about his crying during Gossip Girl during that time. I didn’t know his family was in NYC with him that weekend.

    Yes, lilbop. Neil lived in NYC at the time. Adam’s mother came up for all of his promo TV shows (she actually gave a short interview on the CBS morning show.) Then they stayed in NYC and celebrated Thanksgiving with their Neil and their New Jersey relatives. That was the weekend they went to the Box and that drag queen “peed” on them, remember? His mom was with him that night. Grin She’s a good sport.

    BTW, I don’t care that some or many of you don’t share my affection for that old photo. We aren’t meant to agree on everything! Big Smile

    I was reading comments after being away all day and felt a little bombarded. Sorry if my post seemed a little dramatic.

    I love when these old photos pop up, although I feel I’ve seen that fox before. They show young Adam with his crazy ideas and attitude, but still, that gorgeous face.
