Another month has arrived, and we are all anxiously awaiting the lead single from Adam’s upcoming new album. Will the new single be released this month? Will Adam perform at the American Music Awards once again? I think that Adam’s recent appearance on the cover of The Advocate signals that things are about to start happening again.

Hopefully our long wait is almost over. Enjoy the chat!

    Kradamour, I too would love to see Adam and Gaga do something, anything together.

    Speechless is incredible. But, we all know that I love the acoustics of Hair and Edge too. She is an incredible song writer.

    So…WTF? Can’t buy Broken Heels on iTunes. Apparently never released in the US. Now I know how European peeps felt when we got Adam and they couldn’t.
    It was produced by RedOne, not obscure! It’s on all kinds of karaoke albums. Okay, so I’ll just convert to an mp3 from the video. But I would willingly pay for the music if allowed to. Bah.
    It was written for Alexandra Burke as an empowerment song – and for the video she insisted on some plus size ladies (which to be honest, the words “plus size” seem to be relative, but definitely there are some feminine curves on the ladies). What an earworm! Okay, off to convert the music to put on my ipod. I hate having to steal music. Frown

    Re: Gaga – as I’ve mentioned before – love her music – it’s all on my iTunes/iPod. But, and a big but – don’t like watching her. And, I’ll be honest – the idea of Gaga’s singing with BB is something I find repulsive. I know he loves her, but that’s life – different strokes, etc. If it actually happens, I’m open to changing my mind, but, until then, for me it’s a big No.

    I’m also not a big fan of an Adam/Gaga collaboration. But I think about this alot, and I’m intrigued by the idea of an Adam/Fergie or Pink duet. Anyone else like that idea?

    Re Gaga…I think that what makes a lot of us not love that idea is that we are afraid of the performance? the vocals…wow. If we could trust her to rein in the craziness, would we like the duet?
    And I still like Adam/Cher, but that is just me, I think. Rolls Eyes

    Just looked up Alexandra Burke – she won Britain’s X Factor in 2008. Wish this song had been released in the US. Being an Adam fan has taught me so much about the music industry, and gotta say I’m not crazy about most of what I’ve learned. Big Frown

    I enjoy a lot of Gaga’s music, just can’t stand her persona. I can’t feel a personal connection with her because I haven’t felt like I’ve gotten a glimpse at anything resembling the real person. But her talent is undeniable.

    I also think an Adam/Jessie J collab would be great – they’re both incredibly talented vocalists and the visual of them together would be gorgeous!

    I would definitely agree if I hadn’t seen her duet with Elton John, doubtless based in huge respect for him. And my husband says her duet with Tony Bennett was amazing.
    She might be totally different with a peer.

    kradamour, your post got me thinking: Adam and Elton!! (it would never happen). Saw Elton in Vegas a few years ago. He’s been a favorite of mine since the 70’s (love Yellow Brick Road) and he certainly didn’t disappoint.

    Saw Gaga with the green hair singing with Bennett fairly recently – it was OK. Apparently, she posed naked for him for his sketches for Vanity Fair (?). She looks much better since she had her nose refined, but the woman is simply not sexy no matter how she tries. Adam should sing with someone really hot – Gaga, IMO, just doesn’t fill the bill. Now Jessie J – that’s something else. Apparently Adam asked her to follow him and she did. Could go for that collab. He needs someone as gorgeous as he is in his next vid.

    Good morning…

    I say no for the gaga collab. She never had anything done with her nose. It just looks different at different angles. Adam’s is the same way. She looked odd on the Thanksgiving special. No eyebrows, I think. She’s pretty if she adopts a look somewhere in between no makeup and show makeup. I like her voice sometimes. The Howard Stern Edge of Glory.

    And I’m glad we are not hearing about the Christina A. collaboration much anymore. Her voice was bad on the AMA’s.

    Good morning! In total agreement about the Christina A. collab -would’ve loved the idea a year ago, but now not so much. Wish Katy P. could sing live. Now THAT would be fun!

    I still think Fergie would be a good fit- she has so many different singing styles (maybe she’d bring Wil.I.am along to produce!) and their performance styles would mesh perfectly. Heck, she could even rap!

    I’m so ready for the single release – for as much as I seem to forget these days (cranberries would’ve been nice a few days ago, lol), I am constantly replaying that song – chorus especially – in my head!

    I guess if I wanted a collab (not sure yet), I would go for Fergie too. She is very talented and seems like an intelligent nice person. I think Wil I.Am is great too. So talented and as a real person (lol) he is very involved in charity causes. He’s even connected with NASA and the Mars rover launch to get kids interested in science.

    Hi luval! I really like Wil.I.Am too – the new song he debuted at the AMA’s was good, cool fun! He also earned my respect with his mentoring on AI last season. I saw him on Oprah, I think, where she spent a lot of time on his backstory – even visited the modest little home where he was raised as well as a glimpse into his home office showing a carefully chosen antique piece to house his prized awards. He was very thoughtful, humble and, most memorable to me, good to his family. A good musician in many ways!

    I would LOVE to hear an Adam and Fergie collaboration!!

    I love Marshall’s vision and style of directing and choreography. He has said that he would like to work with Adam! This kind of featured spot given to Fergie would be a perfect way to introduce Adam to movie audiences! That said, I thought the movie wasn’t very good and only came to life during the musical numbers. Most of them, not all.

    There’s much to watch here but pay close attention to Fergie’s vocals. I think she and Adam would make a wonderful pairing.

    I’ve seen “Nine” and Fergie’s “Be Italian” is my favourite number.
    Too bad that the movie didn’t do well, even though it had many big stars… Sophia Lauren, Judi Dench, Marion Cotillard, Daniel Day Lewis, Penalope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Fergie and quite a few that I can’t remember.

    Kate and Penalope surprised me that they were very good and could sing.

    Nice to see you and good to have an ally. Wink “Be Italian” is my favorite from the movie too followed by Kate Hudson’s (she surprised me!) “Cinema Italiano”. When I first came upon “Be Italian” on YouTube and downloaded it, I put it on a continuous loop ’cause I couldn’t get enough of it.

    ETA: And now … for my next Red Carpet appearance. Laugh I DO have a red carpet! OKay, so it’s in my bathroom and it’s only a bathmat but it’ll have to do. Big Smile

    I want to say again that I think you guys are amazing friends. Thanks so much for all you concern and comforting words. I love you all. We are gonna be okay because we know we have few regrets in our lives and our care for our mother. Sure we miss her, but that’s understandable since I have pretty-much lived here with her since 1993, moving only once for a short time and that was only 24 miles away when she was mostly up and around.

    Right now, I’m headed to Pizza Hut for the biggest pizza that I can find. Of course, it will be my usual black olive, mushrooms, and onion, thick crust, no sauce pizza. Here’s looking at you adamized and kradamour! Wink

    And, sorry, I like Gaga’s music, but don’t like her. That fake sobbing at the EMAs? Gag! Didn’t like her last-minute, off-the-cuff thanking Brian May for playing on her song – seemed like a reminder to everyone that yes, he was playing with someone else on the show, but SHE got him first. And I hate the idea of her with Queen doing the James Bond song. Her voice doesn’t have the power IMHO for Queen songs, so she must be doing a Gaga song…. Pain

    Sutan was making fun of the fans it seemed to me. Yes there are crazy ones but many more excited young fans. Hmmmmm didn’t like that from him so much.

    Although Adam says “new backup” it sounded like Tommy was going to be with him. I wish he would start from scratch and get new everybody (except Isaac…and I like Tommy but not the Adommy crap).

    luval, I think that Adam will need a link to GN when he goes out again, and he and Tommy are genuinely close in a very good way, IMHO, and unlike his closeness with the other musicians. They seem to share something of the same view of life. It might even bring the Adommy stuff to an end if the relationship is obviously without kisses. (Hey, I can hope!)

    I have never liked Sutan. There is a coldness there that underscores the snark. Edgy withOUT a smile. Just-under-the-surface-simmering-anger. I agree that tweet was unkind and that he was making fun of the fans, and not in a good way.
    I’ll stop there, though, I know that he is liked by many peeps and this is only my opinion.

    Kradamour…I agree with everything you said…even about Tommy! I really do like him…always have. And I’m pretty sure the kisses are over.

    I looked up the author Murakami that Nina Garcia referred to. Not sure if it’s something Adam would like but who knows. He probably has no time now to read anyway with the album, Sauli, etc.

    I agree, luval – but would go one further and prefer an entirely new backup. There are too many over-the-top Adommy fans with their “fan lit” delusions. And, while TJ is very good, after hearing Adam with professionals like Queen, my wish is to have him perform with musicians of their caliber.

    Sutan strikes me as a cold fish. May be wrong, of course, but that’s my impression.

    I voted for David A to win AI (one of the few times I did vote at all). Over at MJ’s he’s singing with Mannheim SR at Pandora Ice Show – boy has such a beautiful, tender voice. Anyhow – while he was singing “Just to Be with You” I had whiffs of Adam’s singing “I Just Love You” for his friend’s skating performance. Every once in a while, there’s something about David where I could see his being Adam’s teen brother. Even the still pic MJ put up has, for me, something evocative there. (Unfortunately, the syncing is a little off – but you hear his voice more than see him so not that much a problem.)

    Is anyone else out there in love with Kelly Clarkson’s “Darkside”? I can’t get it out of my mind (although right now, I’m hearing “The Show Must Go On” – see above). I think Adam and Kelly could do a fantastic duet on that song.

    Ceddies, I understand how you feel about your Mother and having no regrets. My Mother died much younger, I had 3 teenagers and a part-time job. I gave up the job and my personal time to help my parents in their time of need, It was not easy but after my Mother passed I had no guilty feelings as I knew I had done every thing possible to keep her loved, cared for and as comfortable as possible. I’m sure your Mother knew how much you cared.
