Another month has arrived, and we are all anxiously awaiting the lead single from Adam’s upcoming new album. Will the new single be released this month? Will Adam perform at the American Music Awards once again? I think that Adam’s recent appearance on the cover of The Advocate signals that things are about to start happening again.

Hopefully our long wait is almost over. Enjoy the chat!

    Somehow the lyrics to FYE (the song) come to mind. “Take the pain, take the pleasure, I’m the master of both” “Can you handle what I’m ’bout to do,” and “Imma hurt ya real good baby.” In fact, that whole song just seems to sum up my state of mind at the moment. Razz

    If this is indeed a performance with Queen, this could give him more cred with some doubters and some excitement leading up to his new music release, because we know he’s gonna kill it!

    Yeah, just a few. Wink AMAs had 14 million (American?) viewers (but I don’t know # of worldwide viewers); this apparently has potential to reach upwards of 1 billion. (Of course, if we knew the number of AMA viewers worldwide, they may be closer than that.)

    He is so gonna be exposed to the world, well you know what I mean lol

    Yeah, that’s why my level of anxiety just went up, right along with my level of excitement!

    Ya, and not much sleep till Sunday, scouting all the sites for info. Amd BTW, our friend on MJs 621 is back to her horrid self, what is the point of reading an Adam thread, just to make a worthless post to bring all the Adam fans down. The rest of the posters are besides themselves about the upcoming show, as we all are. They need to make an announcement soon about his appearance.

    Miss Chaos — It’s the Headlines thread, not an Adam thread, and 621 is allowed to say whatever she wants about Adam. We don’t have to like it, but whatever. I don’t let 621 or YeahRight get me down. I just shrug them off and move on. It always helps me to just accept that there is no shortage of opinions when it comes to Adam. And that’s actually a good thing. Smile

    Thought I would just drop in to flail with you’all for a moment. Isnt’t this exciting! My mood was up all day. How silly that my life is made measurably more interesting when their is Adam news. Yes, he is definitely my drug of choice.

    Does anyone know if TR3, MTV3 on my provider, is carrying the show live, or is it delayed? It is showing it at 7pm. Not sure of the time zone, ET perhaps.

    OMG – I just got home from a long, crazy day to all this fabulous news! Even though we don’t know EXACTLY what the news is, I don’t think Adam would haul his ass all the way to Europe unless it were for a performance of some kind or to accept a noteworthy award. It’s so funny because I left home for work this morning thinking I’d probably miss out on a lot of fun speculation today about Adam’s cryptic tweet, and then I went from work to my workout class where the instructor had us doing some hideously painful maneuver to one of the remixes of WWFM. I just knew it was a good omen for some good Adam news. I’m so frickin’ excited I can’t see straight (or move a single muscle, but that’s from the excruciating workout, not from the Adam news! LOL!)

    nkd, in Miami MTV3 is Spanish MTV – the EMA’s are showing at 6 pm to 8:30 pm on Sunday, supposedly live. I don’t subscribe to that channel, but I WILL NOW! Prefer that to watching on a computer.
    It’s channel 445 on my DirectTV.

    Whew. Wiping my strained eyes. I just popped in after a few days, and found FOUR pages on the new thread. Busy bunch, weren’t you?

    I’m like our friend asif SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

    But, my fear is this: Adam is gonna KILLLL ITTTT. In Europe. And be invisible in the US.

    My other opinion? Hair schmair. Europe loves some crazy hair. He’s gonna sing with Queen, and maybe Gaga. It will be epic. And overseas. More fans will be born in Europe.

    He needs to EXPLODE over here, on this side of the pond.

    Yes, I am very very selfish. I want my Adam here. Where I can reach out and touch him.

    Checked the Tr3s channel locator and am currently watching that channel here in Key West, yay! Guess my cable tier with Comcast carries it.

    It’s not clear to me what time the EMAs will be broadcast, not sure if the 7pm time listed is EST (remember that the time change happens on Sunday morning!) or what. According to the time zone converter from jlurksacto, 7pm EST would be a tape delayed broadcast, as 9pm Belfast time is 4pm EST. Hopefully AO and/or ALF will post an announcement at some point before Sunday with definite info on this.

    I’d think this has to be a performance with Queen, that makes sense. Thinking about it more, it would not make sense for Adam to debut his new single in Europe during an awards show that many/most people in the US have never heard of, on a channel that many/most people in the US can’t watch. I know Adam has a large international following, but he is still a US-based artist and needs to get strong airplay/sales here.

    just wanted to let everyone know there is a link for a stream of it but it looks very shady. it’s watchema.com I went there and went to watch the 2010 show, but they asked for a survey and said that you have to give all your info to the survey and then only then will you get to watch the show and my virus protector was going crazy so beware of this site. i found this site that looks promising for those of you like me who don’t get the channel http://www.ustream.tv/channel/mtv-ema1

    Ewww, that does sound shady! I think I posted that link because it was being spread on twitter. I would say beware of that one! Thanks for checking that out glamberthaf28 and letting us know.

    For those who aren’t on twitter – the photo jlurksacto linked is a screenshot of a DM from Adam to a person on twitter named “LAMBERTLUST”, which says:

    “Well then – considering those details… You gotta assume I’m not performing my first single. Spread the word. Wink but it IS a performance.”

    The screenshot shows that the DM was sent at 623pm today. I don’t know this person on twitter and can’t vouch that this DM is for real (although I have no particular reason to doubt it other than the unusual nature of someone getting a DM from Adam), does anyone here know them?

    SQUEEEEE from here also. I got home from DC at 5:30 this morning and had to work all day and you would think I would be exhausted but I had to catch up on the October thread and then wade into the Nov thread and just now got to the end so I could post my excitement. I don’t see the channel on my dish line up so I will probably have to watch it later.

    Using the EMA channel locator, I was able to find the channel on my TV. As someone mentioned earlier, it is coming through clearly, but in Spanish. Does anyone know if I can some how, some way switch it to English??? LOL

    There is some question about whether the DM is legit, since there is no tweet to Adam from this guy.
    I’d like to say as I was looking at tweets to Adam earlier today that I did see this lambertlust tweet to Adam about sending him a DM about the questions we were having. It stood out to me because of his avi, and what I thought was a ridiculous tweet to Adam. I wish I had copied it at the time since it is no longer among the guys tweets. So it is possible that it was still showing up on Adam’s feed and he responded. Other than that, I got no clue.
