Another month has arrived, and we are all anxiously awaiting the lead single from Adam’s upcoming new album. Will the new single be released this month? Will Adam perform at the American Music Awards once again? I think that Adam’s recent appearance on the cover of The Advocate signals that things are about to start happening again.

    I really don’t think Adam would go all the way there for something insignificant, and then lead us to believe something exciting is to happen if it’s not. Brian May and Roger Taylor were really impressed with Adam, so I still believe that it has something to do with Queen. I don’t dare write what I think it possibly could be. We will all tune in and find out Sunday!

    I’d still like to read the complaint, but a couple of things bear mentioning. First, the statute of limitations for breach of contract is 4 years if it is a written contract, 2 years if its an oral contract. It looks like this was filed within the statutory period and the complaint might be triggered by the approach of the expiration of hte period.

    Second, this was filed in federal court, which means that the attorney representing Colwel is required to have facts to support the claim. Allegations on “information and belief” suggest that they don’t have those facts (such as what was told Amazon).

    Third, the allegation regarding the disqualification is a complete throwaway claim designed to embarass and get publicity. I cannot imagine an relevance to a claim if Adam lied to Idol. That’s between he and Idol.

    Last, the judge in this case, Percy Anderson, is a major hardass judge who does not tolerate b.s. He is particularly hard on plaintiffs and criminal defendants (and thieir counsel). Check out attorney comments about him here: http://www.therobingroom.com/Judge.aspx?ID=39#comments. So Adam’s lawyers are likely to hit back very hard to get rid of this case.

    I’m not an attorney, but I have a hard time believing that the attorneys at AI and RCA didn’t thoroughly go over every contract that Adam ever put his name to, recording, theater, etc., before signing him to their contract.

    I agree, nekkid. I do believe that Adam has something up his sleeve; we just don’t know what it is yet. Perhaps it will be the greatest thing ever; perhaps it will just be relatively small and mildly amusing; perhaps it will be somewhere in between. I’m keeping an open mind and an open heart, keeping grand expectations in check, keeping it light and going with the flow, and having fun with pondering the puzzlement of it and the possibilities. Smile

    Well, I’m following the laswsuit and appreciate all the insights kradamour and at Mj’s as well.

    However, I’m over in Queenland having a private concert on You Tube. Loving the Radio Gaga from Live Aid. I remember watching it live in ’85. I was fresh out of college, MTV was still in it’s young days, watched Live Aid as much as I could, it was several days long if I recall, and Queen’s set was the unexpected standout. It was all anyone could remember of the whole shebang.

    Sounds like Ringo is a California atty or at least knowledgeable about Calif law. 4 years is a short statute of limitations – if that was coming up, then definitely you want to go ahead and file to protect the claim.
    Agree that the Idol thing is irrelevant, just between Idol and Adam. If otherwise, Idol etc. would have been named as defendants.
    Up to Judge Anderson to decide if it is BS, but sounds like he won’t tolerate it if he thinks that is what it is. For that, we need the complaint. I can see this one getting to at least the first round of discovery, though, if there is anything plausible in it. I do remember those four songs on Adam’s myspace page. If that was a violation of the agreement…

    Horrible thought – could this new legal mess result in an indefinite hold on any release of Adams new material by RCA, until this is resolved? I hope not – that delay could drag on for many months. Since it seems with the inclusion of the irrelevant Idol DQ claims that the main purpose is now to hurt Adam, I could imagine these slimy jerks seeing Adams new material being put on hold as a victory.

    Picked up a document – 2008 – Golden was attorney for defendants AOL, Yahoo, Microsoft joining with Warner/Rhino in opposition to Plaintiff David Grisman Motion to File, etc. Concerned breach of contract and copyright infringement. Golden represented some heavy hitters there, but Martindale sure doesn’t tell you much.

    Well, none of those listed performances are Queen numbers, so that is left up in the air, even if Gaga does sing with them, we don’t know what.

    I believe Adam was told NOT to reveal anything about what he will be doing, other than just hinting. We really don’t know anything about the Queen stuff, except that it will be done, and Gaga will somehow take part, but we don’t know what she will sing either.

    So, I will just sit back and enjoy whatever comes my way. The only thing that really BOTHERS me is having to sit through Bieber, Gaga, and some of the others as I am sick of them. Talk about over-exposure! Btw, Bieber had his hair back down to “helmet” this morning on the Today show.
    I read he’s getting an award on this show for his charitable work. IMHO a lot of that was a) cooked up by his management and b)unverified/unverifiable. Funds from sales of Bieber stuff that went to some worldwide charities that are little known? Ever verified? At least, we all donated directly to the charities for Adam, and even Pennyroyal was verified, and no money ever went to Adam or his management/business partners. Whatever……

    Well, disappointed to hear that Gaga is singing with Queen and maybe no Adam, but hoping against hope that Adam will be doing a medley of Queen songs as a tribute to them or better yet, TFM!!! Am admitting to being delusional this week. Frown Whatever, I just hope he gets to perform in front of such a huge audience, that’s all. Smile

    WOW!!! What a roller coaster ride!!!

    I read the posts from squeeing, flailing, milw’s list, Queen songs, to lawsuit and no announcement of Adam’s performance with Queen.
    Deflating!!! Frown

    I never liked roller coasters.

    I was a persona non grata to any amusement park’s roller coaster because I scared the sh*t out of other kids from my screams. Plus they had to clean up after I left and I needed to change my undie. Rolls Eyes

    Anywho … Sunday I’m gonna watch EMA from the beginning to the end. I won’t be disappointed.

    If Adam is just sitting pretty in the audience holding Sauli’s hand or singing one line “..Mama ..just killed a man..” with other artists, I’ll be thrilled.

    If BB is happy, I’m very very happy. Grin

    I’ve watched the video 5 times already. And each time, I LMAO. I laughed so hard that I needed a fresh undie like my first post.

    When something is worrying BB he tweets about it and gets a lot of encouragement and hugs from all of us. Seems to have done the trick since the second post seemed to be him giving himself a good shake and remembering what is really important. It seems there is always a dark side to slightly offset his special moments. Hopefully he won’t let this BS get in his way of an outstanding time (whatever it is!)

    I am of the camp Yay BB is going to be on my TV my computer and will be happy to see anything he does. I also don’t think he would send out all the teasers if he wasn’t doing anything special.

    Lawsuit is hopefully just an annoyance that his lawyers will deal with quickly and efficiently. Kradamour thank you for all you insight regarding this.

    I checked my Dish Network and the Latin channel package is 20.00 and a fee to change programming to add and then to delete. Still debating cause I’m ok with watching it on my computer.

    Am a little concerned about eywflyer’s post last night regarding the new album. I suppose there could be a possibility of some sort of injuction to stop the release of the new album by the bastards but maybe we would have heard this mentioned by now.

    I’ve lightened up a little since yesterday. Whatever happens happens tomorrow. I will not pay the monthly charge to get the Spanish station in my area. Hopefully a great livestream.

    I posted the Live Aid Queen performance yesterday. And yup Adam’s moves are very similar to Freddie. But they are very natural to Adam

    glambotgram thanks for the video. Wow this must have been at least 10 years ago. Monte looks like a baby. Seems like he is linking himself closer to Madonna lately or at least the last few interviews in magazines have done so.

    Checked my TV channels and don’t get them either. I will be happy to settle for a live stream on computer. Part of me would rather not watch and worry but wait until things show up on youtube, etc. Doubt I will have the discipline to stay away though.

    Everything I am reading mentions that Queen will be taking the stage for a special performance. The only, only, only thing that makes sense to me is that Adam will be providing the lead vocals for this performance. I can’t think of anything else that could possibly be secret-worthy! Confused

    Thanks for posting queens Live Aid clip Mils. I remember watching Live Aid on TV, it was so amazing at the time. Loved Mick Jagger And Bowies video they did of Dancing in the Streets. And was it Phil Collins who flew on concorde to sing at both places?

    Man on stage turns around, it’s Adam, screams heard in the audience and around the world, Adam continues to sing. the place is going wild, song done, tears rolling down Queens eyes, the audience and Adams, as one and all sob for Freddie!!!!
