Adam Lambert and his band play at Maxidrom in Moscow, Russia for the Maximum 103.7 FM Festival. Also in the line up are Prodigy, Travis and Korn. Adam was onstage for about an hour long set between 2pm and 3pm Moscow time (6-7am EDT).

In July, Adam and his crew are scheduled to play at the Sainte Agathe en Feux Festival on the 29th!

    Ivan….was this an American kid in a middle school performance or what? Is he Russian? Man, he’s got the coat, the shirt underneath, the hair, the moves, the drama, and in a few years and some vocal coaching, and he’s the real deal.

    Please tell me someone has/will tweet this to Adam.

    Ivan was great in the video! I have watching george michael on youtube when he had his world tour and he played to soldout stadiums and I could picture adam doing the same thing in 25 years too! Singing to soldout stadiums and having everyone sing along with him.

    I don’t think the kid is American because the guy that introduced him was speaking maybe Russian??

    Is Ellen on summer hiatus? I would tweet it to her too (if she’s on twitter lol)

    And another thing, how does a video go viral? Is it just people sending it to each other (like a chain letter)? I’ve sent it to a couple of people. But unless they’ve seen Adam do it live, they may not be interested.

    I read some on the Twitter feed yesterday that a Russian DJ had made some homophic comments about Adam on radio, including a comment that he had “pis*ed on Adam’s trailer”. I just came across this recap/translation of what was actually said and the comments were really quite complimentary to Adam. Another one bites the glitter. LOL

    Adam is living proof of the lyrics he sings in FYE: “Once I’m in, I own your heart.”

    This recap/translation was done by a poster named @nica575 over at the “Adamtopia” forum

    The male commentator interviewed Adam. He left his sunglasses in Adam’s trailer – “like you would do with a beautiful woman, so you can go back”…. yet, he was afraid to go back to get his glasses alone and so both of them wen to retrieve the glasses….
    the female talked about the fact the male had to take a leak behind Adam’s trailer…but no one saw it…
    the male said that Adam is very, very tall, and he had thought that Adam would be very short…But THE MOST IMPORTANT THIGN IS that Adam is an IMMENSELY POSITIVE PERSON WITH AMAZING ENERGY! the guy was so smitten by Adam that- the female interrupted here and said he told the female that had he been gay he would have sex with Adam…. The male confirmed but said that it might’ve been the effect of the scorching sun OR AMY BE THE POSITIVE ENERGY ADAM RADIATED. He repeated the positivity bit again. Then they described the boots: leather, huge platform and so “not only Adam is very tall but wearing those boots he was HUGE!”…

    I think that’s that… looks like despite the obvious prejudices the male commentator got under the spell and did not even know what hit him…

    I have a number of Russian friends, and for them even the word homosexual is hard for them to force themselves to say, and usually comes with furtive looks around to see if anyone else is listening. One friend was on a visit here a little while back and suddenly, in her hotel room while we were chatting and deciding where to go out, she suddenly wanted to discuss homosexuality and asked questions that seemed almost silly in their basic-ness. She told me that she had always wondered about these things, but would never ask anyone in Russia because it would cost her her career. I suddenly realized that she was gay, but was terrified to acknowledge it even to herself. She was married, with two children, about 40 years old. It was so sad.
    And so I have been thinking about Adam there, and what it must mean to some of his fans in Russia to see an openly gay man on a stage in their country, performing to an adoring public.

    this isn’t Moscow concert, but I think the other thread is pretty much defunct so I’ll post it quickly here and if you want to delete it, adamland and eywflyer, I’ll totally understand!

    I always wondered what the top of Adam’s pompadour looked like. I know, that is a REALLY shallow concern. But this inquiring mind wanted to know. So here it is in case anyone else is equally shallow inquisitive. And if posted before and I missed it, oops!

    Yes, I was about to post that piece from NoAngel myself. I love what she said, and completely agree with her. I had originally thought of Adam and Sauli holding hands on the Red Carpet as a clear statement, but she’s right — it’s a reward for Adam every bit as much as it is a statement.

    I love the story of how they met. Adam was probably eyeing Sauli from across the room for a time and just “knew”. I like Sauli more and more. Hope Adam’s celebrity situation doesn’t overwhelm him.

    jlurksacto, thanks for the link to that story. Very well written and very touchy. I would also say that Adam holding proudly Sauli’s hand on the American Idol red carpet did more for LGBT movement than 100 written articles.

    Wow…. NoAngel’s essay and Sauli’s interview recap! Both are such “feel good” stories, but I do have to admit that I had a very difficult time reading NoAngel’s post with dry eyes.

Besides being a real cutie he brings a sense of normalcy and healthy living which I think will be good for Adam at this time in his career.

    As I was perusing through the photos this afternoon, I had to laugh……
    Tommy has absolutely turned into a Glambert hook, line, and sinker. With his pink hair, heavy eye makeup, and lipstick, he looks way more “glam” than Adam ever did.

    It was brought up that Sauli has not ever seen Adams GlamNation tour show. He wasn’t at the show in Finland and he didn’t fall for Adam the performer but the real life Adam. Many of us fell for the performer before we got to know the real life Adam. If you haven’t looked at the Sauli pictures from Idol Forums you should, I had to right click save most of them. I can’t seem to get the smile off my face, he’s just too much.
