Not sure how long it usually takes to go up the chart but it sure seems like Ghost Town is stalling.
I’m curious about VH1. Went to the VH1 top 20 site to see if there is anything about voting. Didn’t see anything so I don’t know how they determine the top 20. See what happens this coming weekend… if it moves up at all.
More stations have to play Ghost Town. Where I live, the one station that plays it is the Elvis Duran Iheart one. But that’s not the station that people listen to around here. There are a couple of local top 40 and “movin'” stations which are the most popular. Here is where I want to hear the local DJ’s talking about GT. Hasn’t happened, though.
Glambotgram, I agree with you. Ghost Town does appear to be stalling. I mean it is moving up, but I was looking at individual stations, and he is loosing spins. This worries me. Because just getting a few adds a week is not going to get the job done. Most of his spins are overnight or a few mid day and some evening spins. Not any during high peak traffic hours. It needs to be heard in order for people to request it. He needs some major night time tv promotion for people to know its out there. One Ellen appearance, no matter how good it was back in April is going to get the job done. Radio visits did not work for him before and it does not appear to really be working now. It hasn’t helped that M5 and TS just released new singles that have blasted their way to the top automatically. I really hope things start to change for Ghost Town. Maybe it will just slowly but surely make it’s way up the chart. I am at least hoping for a top 20 and by a stretch a top 10.

A lot for me to catch up. Just got back from my hubby ‘s 50th anni HS Reunion.
I saw white … all white … white hair, grey hair and white peeps … all white … heh! I was the only one who was different.
Well!! … cause … I dyed my hair.
Then we went to a cemetery to put flowers on his grandparents, parents and relatives graves.
During the trip I turned on POP radio channels, hoping to hear Ghost Town.
Nope, None, Nada, Zip, Zero … Zippo … No Adam’s songs.
I had to listen to some songs from other pop singers over and over again.
But other parts of the country … it seems like Adam is doing well! YAY …

Some fun excerpts …
One night last week I was very sick. It got me really quick. I didn’t know if it was a virus bug or food poison. It was the night when Underground was released. It was a long, rough night and I thought I would go underground. So to go happily, I went to bed with ADAM with GT, UNDERGROUND on my ipod in my ears. Hubby was going to take me to see a doctor but I didn’t want to do it at 3 am in the morning.
The next day I woke up with aching and hurting all over my body. No matter where I touched … head, arms, hips, face, chest … they hurt like hell.
And … Duh!!! …. I did check my finger when I touched my body … And my finger wasn’t broken!
HAVE A GREAT DAY … ALL!!!
I get your concern about ghost town but I also think that we need some perspective. In actuality, Adam has not had any radio play in about three to four years. We follow his every move but most people do not. I agree that he needs more TV exposure but that is the reason he did the preview at the box so he could get in front of the booking people and get them interested again. We have to have faith in his label and promo people to do their jobs and keep his best interests at heart. I know we all want his music to fly up the charts but if he has to work hard to reintroduce himself to the public than we can be supportive and request and vote in polls and stream and buy what is offered. He is so upbeat and happy that I am not going to panic just yet.

apal think so too! It takes weeks or months still a song can be on top of the Charts. My trainee loves Sam Smith – still trying to convert her *sigh* – and she talked about new songs months before they were a hit in germany. And I think the performances will start when the album is finally released. Promo just started so there will be alot to come
Didn’t it take a long time for WWFM to climb? And that was when he still had the Idol afterglow. Agree with apal123 – WB and Adam’s management have a plan obviously, and it won’t happen overnight. Slow and steady…the song moved up 2 spots on HAC and 1 on POP in this week with very heavy competition, and has done well in 4 weeks, and album promo will kick in closer to drop date. I “trust a bitch” that things will go ok.

Was busy today since I had visitors for my birthday this week, but had Radio 538 on most of the day. No Ghost Town at first, but then we watched the news at 6 pm and after that ended I switched back to the radio just in time for Ghost Town!!!
He’s still doing great here in the Netherlands. He’s #25 on the airplay top 50 here in the Netherlands over the last week:

Spotify is still going great, but it was a bit slow on Sunday this time.
The lyric video passed 2,5 million by the way! Now on 2,517,375!!! Not long before the music video will pass that though! Less than 100k between them. At the current rate the music video will take about 2 days to pass the lyric video!

I just took a long walk and listened to Underground, Evil In the Night and Another Lonely Night on loop with a few GT’s added and I love all of them. cannot wait for the whole thing. especially since the little snippet of TOH grabbed me, too.
Of course we are dispersing our love between 4 songs this week so GT may be slipping a bit but this is probably a temporary thing.
GT’s move up the charts has been unusually swift, according to a few fans who watch the charts. They say that we can expect a little “plateauing”. I am going with apal123’s advice: Adam’s label and management have a better handle on things than we do and I’m going to trust them. #STRESSFREEFANGIRLING!
BTW, does anyone know if buying the Clean and Explicit versions of GT on both CD’s are counted as 4 separate sales? I have bought an explicit version on the deluxe CD (as part of the presale) and a clean version on the regular CD.
I wouldn’t mind making it a foursome if it boosts GT on the charts this week.

Absolutely true! Reminds me of London, summer of 2012 when I was on my way into the record store to buy the UK Trespassing which had just been released. There was a woman leaving the store with a yellow and black scarf (obviously a Glambert) and I asked her if she had bought Trespassing. She gleefully said “FIVE!” (with an American accent). We hugged and then she went on her way and I went into the store to see what was left. Never knew her name or saw her again, but the connection and hug was very real.
