Alas, Adam’s time on Glee is over (for this year) but he did find other things to keep himself (and his band) busy in April: a few well-paying private gigs. May (the month not the guitarist) won’t be a month for that though since it is getting to be crunch time and rehearsals begin for the Queen and Adam Lambert Summer Tour 2014. Only a few weeks away now!

    I’m so happy that Adam finally got his house. It looks like a perfect place for him to relax and to entertain all his friends. Just think, that fortune we spent on VIP Queenbert tickets helped to make this possible. I wonder if my share paid for one of the knobs on a kitchen cabinet or maybe for a fern or two in the backyard. What a nice thought.

    I hope he has someone who can cook for him in that well-equipped kitchen and I really hope he has a cleaning lady coming in – that’s a huge place for his mum to keep up for him Wink

    Hey, I think that toilet looks like mine. Well, isn’t that some fine claim to fame – Adam and I have the same taste in toilets, hehe! I do love my TOTO, Wink

    Dimmers shmimmers, boy’s got a grotto and steam showers.

    BTW, I got my CD today. Thank you Amazon. I’ve never been a fan of CLYG. But , then again, I’ve never given it a “proper” listen. In my car, turned up to 11.

    I’ll give you a report after driving it to and from work tomorrow.

    The home’s versatile lower level (with separate street access) is currently set as a gym with separate media room. This space also features a large bathroom with a walk-in steam room. This additional, hard-to-find space would be great for a long-term guest suite, for a live-in employee, recording studio, or movie theatre. Or, simply used as the home’s third bedroom.

    This house may not be as huge as it seems. Reading this description there would be 2 bedrooms upstairs and the bottom floor could be used as the third bedroom. Mombert or Dadbert could stay there! Love houses that have this extra suite situation.

    What a stunning fairy-tale house! Perfect for Adam – lots of charcoal grays, earth tones and privacy with views. I wonder if he purchased any of the furnishings? He could use some, coming from a smallish apartment.

    I wondered about the furnishings too. Anything is negotiable unless they staged it. Rooms are so spacious. So happy for him. He will have to wait until tour is over to really enjoy it.

    I’m with you, HK fan – got all mushy, too, thinking of how hard he’s worked with all the barriers – and now he can live in this beautiful house. This is my favorite style – Art Moderne – sleek/curved/simple – very 1930’s movie star vibe. So happy for him.

    Adam sounds happy and excited in these interviews, and I am just so proud and happy for him. He deserves it all.

    So happy for Adam that he has such a wonderful home now. Clap Dance Thanks aely for the photos. It looks perfect for him and suits his needs, lots of entertaining and living space without too many bedrooms that he doesn’t need now. It isn’t so big as to be overwhelming. I love the Art Deco style and feel comforted knowing that Adam has this real home. He has earned it. And as the others have said, my tickets, etc, helped pay for it a bit, YAY!

    WOWZA on that house! 3800 square feet is a lot of house for one person. It certainly suggests that Adam plans on doing a lot of home entertaining, which he seems to really enjoy.

    The interior and back are incredible but the front of this looks a little like Hobbit Deco to me, especially with that very old fashioned mail box. Laugh The previous owner mustn’t have been a celebrity. Adam’s mail probably goes to a post box number anyway.

    Does the grotto have a slide or am I imagining things?

    Someone on MJ’s said that the “terms of sale” do not necessarily mean that Adam paid cash, though it would be nice to think that he has.

    The house is a solid representation of what Adam has achieved. Adam’s parents must be very pleased and proud.

    Love Mr. Selfridge! The show is glorious with ladies and home fashion, has tremendous characters and does a great job of featuring the emancipation of women in the 1910’s and 20’s. I love the fact that Selfridges’ windows never suffered a brick during the suffragette period. He championed women’s right to vote from the start and they knew it.

    Off topic, but Selfridges is as good and as full of fine frippery as Downton Abbey and I can’t figure out why it isn’t more popular. (I might be a bit biased because I worked in the buying offices of a Canadian “Brit-style” chain in the 70’s-80 and the series rings a lot of bells.)

    The old department stores in Canada are long gone but they were grand. In fact, Lady Eaton served high tea every afternoon in the Palm Court, in the Art Deco building that Ron now lives in until the mid-70’s.

    IMHO, Adam is more likely to get into another that other new Brit series: PENNY DREADFUL. It has gorgeous men, a demi-monde subtext, a hint of the supernatural and features characters from Dorian Gray, Dracula and Frankenstein. Reeve Carney plays Dorian Gray.

    Love, love, loved the interview with Byron. I was laughing the whole way through it. You can tell that Byron is such a Glambert and they have such a good time talking together. Thanks HK Fan for bringing it over. I had been looking for it.

    TLKC You have great insight into the essence of Adam.

    The first thing I noticed about the new house was how much more patio stone and grass cover there was than the last house he was (supposedly) considering. Also, there seem to be a lot palms and low-maintenance bushes and shrubs – once a year pruning and a built-in sprinkler system will take care of a lot. The gardener might be as low as one jacket a month. Laugh

    Thank-you for the links ulti. Byron and Adam are so funny together. Are Brian and Roger doing any radio interviews about the Aussie tour? Perhaps they think Adam is a sufficiently big draw on his own merits that they can sit out a bit of the promo?

    Oh my! What a good morning at work. Hardly anyone here and all this wonderful news–the house! the 2 extra Aussie concerts! I couldn’t be happier or more proud if he was my own. He so deserves it for all his hard work , perseverance and just unbelievable TALENT and spirit! I’m almost in tears (the happy kind!)
    And adding up the cost of just the tickets for 6 shows for the duke and me for just this tour… I know we must’ve bought something for the new house. To think that we are a part it!

    GMA mentioned Queen and their new album coming out with Freddie singing new songs on it. They also said Queen will be hitting the road with Adam Lambert! They chatted to much over that mention tho.
