After we were showered with Adam goodies in April, let’s see what flowers in May. With recent tweets about new music and GLAAD honoring Adam with the Davidson/Valentini Award, May seems as if it will be a very merry month indeed. And we can’t forget the Life Ball in Vienna later in the month! Let’s hope for more great pics like we had from the CMAs (China not country music), Live Proud PSA and Miami Beach Pride.

    asif. Wasn’t that great? What a heartfelt intro. I liked that better than the GLAAD introduction and his speech felt more real not as much tongue in cheek. He just needs a platform like that more often. Really proud, even if we had sideways, non-view. Grin Yes Yes Yes

    Morning ALLers. Just catching up on last night’s posts, and I had to comment on the articled about The Voice’s problems. We all know how Adam broke Idol, but I do love it when four years on someone is still acknowledging that fact.

    Idol watched its fortunes evaporate when its small town voters chose Kris Allen over Adam Lambert, believing the milquetoast Allen had more star potential when everyone else in America knew the opposite. The stunning result cost the show its viewers everywhere but in those small towns, and four years later it’s never recovered in the ratings.

    So proud of him my heart could burst. Heart When I first got addicted, it was the Voice. Oh I saw that he was charming, bright, good hearted, and articulate, too, but they were extras. Could anyone have predicted what an absolutely AWESOME (in the real meaning of the word, not the overused trite expression that it has come to be) MAN he has turned out to be?

    We have all be saying for years, could he look any better than this? could I love him more than right now, could I be prouder of him? And then he goes and outdoes himself! There really are no boundaries. So we just have to expect to keep being overwhelmed by his beauty, Voice, humbleness, intelligence, kindness, and everything else we love about him and watch while the parts of the world that deserve him are won over, too. As for the rest, they don’t deserve him anyway.

    Kelly is in the lead, Adam is second in the poll but by some distance.

    This is like saying don’t think of the word elephant in the next 5 seconds but, if you vote, don’t read the comments.

    An attitude? What on Earth is that? The attitude of compassion, as evidenced by his excellent turn as a mentor on Idol a few seasons ago? The attitude of humbleness, as evidenced by his graceful duet with Angie Miller and allowing Jessie J (who has had less success in America than Adam Lambert) to take the spotlight? The attitude of showmanship, as evidenced by his commitment to commanding the stage and always singing live? Those attitudes?

    I guess this person wants a judge who has no attitude of his own, but will continue the tradition of smiling and being the puppet of the producers, mouthing their words and “attitudes”.

    I have no doubt that Adam will be good for Idol, the question that keeps niggling at the back of my mind is: Will Idol be good for Adam? I don’t have the answer for that one. Very ambivalent.
