Remember the old days of flying, Krad – my husband’s work required lots of it overseas. Loved to sit in the Clubs with him, watch planes takes off and land, snack on all the goodies, and wait for the boarding announcement. Yes, good times.
Remember sitting in a bar at National Airport with some of my girls years ago (trip to Ireland) and suddenly realizing the plane was close to taking off. We ran like hell through the concourses, arrived as the doors were shut – but they opened them for us to run down into the plane. Makes me so damn sad now that no one will know that fun and freedom.

Over the weekend I was away and sleeping in a not too comfortable bed. The up side was that I woke up at 5 am remembering pieces of an Adam dream!

Just took a little stroll down Memory Lane. This weekend is the one year anniversary of Wilkes-Barre, so I went to the thread and read some recaps and comments and was transported back to the magical experience that was W-B! I had such a wonderful time meeting everyone from ALL there, driving with little dutchess and the Duke, sharing a room with mmm222, making bracelets with glambotgram and turquoisewaters, meeting Kradamour, adamized, nkd, eywflyer and everyone else. A once in a lifetime experience!!!
OMG, Sparkle, is it really a whole year? Or, is it really only a year? (shakes head) Why is Adam time so nebulous? So that means two years since Ste Agathe.
I am so glad that you posted! Yes, that was a magical weekend. Adam was so happy to be on the stage with his new music! and we were so incredibly happy to be there with him and together! Adam autographed the Duke’s yellow tie, it looked fabulous. And then quite a few of us moseyed down to Gaylord National for another concert a couple of days later and nekkid stayed overnight at my house before continuing back to Texas.
Okay, now I am totally psyched for Pittsburgh!

I’m agreeing with some folks on twitter that Adam should shut up about wanting to be on Idol. To tell the truth, I’m getting annoyed. I wish he’d tell TPTB to go take a flying leap – I’m so beyond all these idiotic rumors – does Adam need this job so much that he’s advertising for it? Does it make any difference that he does get it?
Gawd – after they kept him hanging last year, I’d looovve if he’d just give them the middle finger (metaphorically, or course) and get on with his life.
Idol is going the way of all flesh anyhow – way down – lots of other programs are, too – people aren’t watching TV the way they used to. Still makes money and there’s nothing, I guess, to replace it right now. But, damn, there must be clever minds out there to devise better ways to get his music out there.
And I’m out.
I agree that Adam shouldn’t advertise so much about wanting the Idol job, but the fact of the matter is that every time he has said something about it has been when answering a question about whether he would like to be an AI judge (except for his comments when he joined the panel on Chinese Idol). And you all know our boy, when he is asked a question, he ain’t gonna lie.
So here is Lyndsey’s list of AI alumni judges. Of course, Adam is on top of her list, but the others are an interesting bunch, much more so than other lists who mostly just mention the famous ones.

What a diverse group of people on that plane. That flight time must have whizzed by with most meeting for the first time and all of the socializing that followed.
I was surprised, but how appropriate considering the theme of the show, that Barbara Eden is there!!
Seems likely that she’ll have her “I Dream of Jeannie” costume on and maybe she’ll be a key figure for Adam’s entrance in the show.
She could do her trademark folding of her arms, blink her eyes and … shazam! … amid a plume of smoke, Adam appears out of a magic lamp as Ali Baba to thunderous applause. (thunderous applause, of course!)
That’s one possible scenerio. The wrong possible scenerio but, still and all, one possible scenerio.

As I type this, luval is motoring her way north to Toronto for a visit!! Y-A-Y!! We haven’t seen one another for a year-and-a-half so we thought that maybe we might get together for a little while as long as she happens to be here.
Tomorrow we’re going to TLKC‘s for a mutual friends birthday party. The computer will be hooked up to TLKC‘s big screen TV to watch the LifeBall ceremonies.
It’s going to be a fun weekend!

Some of you might want to read this very thoughtful letter by Brad Bell, aka Cheeks, from the Huff Post about the image of gays in Hollywood. Along with the acceptance speech that I posted a few days ago, it is becoming very clear just how intelligent and what a thinker he is, so much more than his Cheeks persona. You could already get a taste of this from his blog posts last year. It is easy to see why he was Adam’s first great love, adorable and smart. I think that in the end he might have been too snarky for Adam, though.

rs, that was what I thought at the time we started to get to know Cheeks. Boy is killer brilliant, adorable, funny, and sharp as a knife.
For Adam, with a LOT of self-image and self-esteem issues and no firm place in the professional world, that sharpness may well have cut more often than would have been comfortable.
I have also wondered if Adam’s newfound security and strength and comfort with himself and his career could make it possible for an eventual Cheeks reprise.
Adam could do a LOT worse.

I’m neutral about JHud. I think she’ll be just fine. I do however have opinions about Clay. Not good ones.

Just watched the song Adam tweeted. It still sends me into goosebumps, even after what, nearly 10 months. Unbelievable talent and charisma. Nobody else has that much. Nobody.

The whole Boy Scout thing has me so upset. I was a Girl Scout, and for sure, several of my leaders at camp were lesbians. Everybody knew it. Nobody cared. At all. And, I’m “29”, so it isn’t like I was at camp last year!! The Girl Scouts just seem to be more progressive.
I was a Scout Leader for my boys for several years. We all just floved it, loved our experiences and wouldn’t trade those memories for a thing. As a leader, I always imbued a sense of unity and acceptance for everyone and talked about tolerance for all people.
I know several of us here have many positive Scout experiences.
That being said, kudos, for voting to allow openly gay kids to be scouts. I am, however, extraordinarily disappointed and dismayed that they still won’t allow gay leaders.
What they really are afraid of is Pedophiliacs. They should ban pedophilia. Not gay leaders.
What they have now voted on is the credo that a gay adult can’t be a role model, or set an example of living an honest and moral life.
Shame on the Boy Scouts of America. Now, an openly gay youth still needs to fight to be a scout, because the leadership still isn’t accepting. They are saying, “sure, you can be a scout now, but you can’t be a leader later.” “Because as you age you will turn into something unacceptable to us.”
I’m sorry for getting into this, it just upsets me so much.
I know rs, biggest mistake…I was only a 30min drive away from Hammersmith, sitting in a crappy Chinese restaurant, having a boring family dinner, all the time thinking arghhhh…..should have just done it, although it would have really pi**ed my husband off..buts whats 25 years of marriage compared to see Adam and Queen again

There never seems to be all this press about lesbians, or people having issues with lesbians. People seem to have an issue with gays, feel threatened by them, repulsed by them, yet are usually ok if its women.
