Wardrobe Mistressnkd.It’s hard for me to believe that in a few short days from now, May 28th to be precise, the autograph session with Adam at HMV took place 1 year ago!
Where does the time go? I’ve never been able to fully grasp time because it always seems to pass me by.
The 28th is a very special occasion date for me because not only was I able to shake Adam’s hand, I also got to meet and hug and spend time with … turquoisewaters!!
Very happy memories.

I like what you’re saying about Adam not hiding as much anymore Krads….must I must admit, I miss the makeup a bit, I love the look he had on the Chinese Idol judging video.
That video was great, love the fierce entry at the beginning, the tiny bit of acapella, then the judging. He face was a picture. I didn’t quite get the girl though, her clothing wasn’t very Chinese, or the little things on her fingers, seemed more Indian or Thai….her singing was Chinese though, and from someone who has heard some Chinese singing and doesn’t like it…at all… she actually sounded quite nice.
i wonder if she was a real contestant though…can’t see her making a pop album!

Love that Pop that lock from the 80’s talkshow. And the host seems to really like Adam…cute about the jacket, he had to think of an excuse quick as to why he hasn’t worn it…I wonder why he hasn’t (or maybe he has and we just haven’t seen it), he seemed to really like it when he was given it, and it looked pretty cool, certainly better than the gift he got this time!!

But I can see how it could be hard to live with him.
I didn’t watch the Billboard awards, I was too busy catching up with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction show. Two performances slayed. Heart was incredible, IMHO. But, the tribute to Albert King was simply off-the-hook. That was some SERIOUS blues guitar sh*t going down. Especially when listened to at “11”.

The whole Biebs thing is just sad. On so many levels. He’s just a kid, not my cuppa at all, musically or anything, but, he has been a bit of a wreck lately. He needs a vacay to regroup and rest. His time time may be up, he has made his money, time will tell if he has any staying power. It’s never good to be the brunt of so many jokes.
I’m thinking the whole Jlo wearing the Blonds outfit went down like this:

I feel a bit for Bieber. He looked physically sick last night I thought. White as a ghost. Maybe on drugs? Who knows. Hopefully he has good people around him who can set him straight. An artist? No IMO. An embarrassment being booed. Slightly talented kid who can dance and play a few instruments. Can’t sing, though. Was very lucky being found on youtube.

IMO Beibs can just do and say and act how ever he wants, doesnt bother me. What does bother me is he is a horrible singer and makes all this money and gets all these awards, IMO doesnt entertain, and dresses like a jerk. His show last night was laughable. He is way worse than Swifty, who cant sing either, and is filty rich too. Our boy deserves more, can, IMO is way better singer, entertainer, and looker than the little squirt Beibs. Sigh!
Just a quick update, last week I said I had a sinus infection, and my lip was numb, well all weekend, I was so sure I had a darn stroke. Went back to the dr today, and WTF I have Bells Palsy. Well get better in about two months, on eye doesnt work, and cant eat, its like my mouth just came back from the dentist. Its caused by an unknown virus. Wearing an eyepatch, good thing you cant see thru the computer. Such a headache still.
I have to agree with you Mils. I feel bad for any young star (actually any star, esp. the young) that steps into a whirlwind of fame and they have to deal with so much BS via the internet (and the paps)…cray, haters,etc. many are attacking these kids on multiple levels. I’m older, and I can’t even imagine having to deal with this heightened level of scrutiny. And it’s in real time…not like it used to be where you’d have to wait for reviews to be published. This day and age it’s all “in your face, down your throat”. I doubt the Biebs had a clue just what kind of hell he was stepping into.
It’s definitely a different world now. With people like Psy singing some crazy “gangnam” song and getting a billion youtube views; also Rebecca Black’s “It’s Friday” song blowing up youtube, and the Justin Beiber’s / Carly Rae Jepson / Selena Gomez’s of the world becoming so famous…..I’m proud Adam has done as well as he has, because it seems genuine, true, other-worldly talent isn’t being recognized anymore.
Said it before, I’ll say it again, I feel terrible about Bieber. He is being used by so many people, all of whom are making money on his back. I thought his speech on the Billboard awards was honest and heartbreaking.
Agree with mils that he needs to get off the roller coaster for a little while and find his center. I actually do think he has talent, but his handlers seem more intent on keeping him out there making money for them than nurturing and developing that talent as he and his image mature.
Unlike Adam, he seems to have no friends and little family, and no one who has his best interests at heart who can guide him. I don’t see this ending well. At the end of another year or two, I can see him shaking his head and wondering where all the fame went…and then what? A has-been at 21?
It makes me very glad that fame came later to Adam.
Miss Chaos, sorry about your Bells Palsy. I know two people who had it…one a musician! Think it’s more common than we think. Everything will turn out fine. Just takes a while.

Miss Chaos, I’m feeling so guilty here. When you posted that facial problem you were having a few pages ago, I instantly thought it was Bell’s Palsy, and wanted to post and tell you to get to a doctor ASAP. But I got all caught up in something else and my own life, and brain-farted away my concern for you when I looked at another page. I feel so bad.
I am so very sorry.
But, I’m glad that you did get diagnosed, and please take care of yourself. You can see a speech therapist for treatment for your facial movement, it’s called facial neuro-muscular therapy or re-education. I have a good friend here I could refer you to, and she could find someone local for you. She is a specialist. I’m not going to post my email here, but, maybe you can get it by contacting eywflyer or AL through the link here at the right of the screen.
You can also call your local hospital speech therapy departments and ask if they have any outpatient therapy for Bell’s Palsy. I have also had several patients that combine this with acupuncture with good results.

On a whole different note, I watched most of the Voice tonight, and have got to say that it is just a much better show than Idol. The talent, the judges, the judging, the individuality of the talent, no pageant girls, no cookie cutter pidgeon-holed-ness in a category at all.
And how awesome was Kellie Pickler on DWTS tonight? WOW.
Just watched the vids at MJs, mils – some really entertaining performances tonight – and some just outstanding. Very enjoyable.

That was one scary incident, Miss Chaos – I was going to post something that happened to a friend that was similar – when he woke up the side of his face was not working correctly – it actually turned out to be a virus – he recovered after a few days. Hope you’re on the mend soon.

For those of you who watch The Voice, here is an Adam connection. Judith Hill, considered by some to be one of the front runners, was one of four women who sang the opening number in last year’s Live Ball AIDS Gala.
Looks like it unless they have a different definition for “Special Guest”. There’s the Life Ball on the 25th in Austria so Adam will have a few days to return to LA. I guess we shall just have to wait and see!

Oh Thanks all, I feel like I am taking up too much time on here with my problem. But it feels good that everyone cares so much. Nothing new, just trying to get along, but I must say its really hard to eat, and I wish the pain in the back of my ear would stop, so I could sleep, one of the systems.
