After we were showered with Adam goodies in April, let’s see what flowers in May. With recent tweets about new music and GLAAD honoring Adam with the Davidson/Valentini Award, May seems as if it will be a very merry month indeed. And we can’t forget the Life Ball in Vienna later in the month! Let’s hope for more great pics like we had from the CMAs (China not country music), Live Proud PSA and Miami Beach Pride.

    I should recommend my local Trader Joe’s to Adam, lots of attractive gay guys shop there since it is adjacent to a neighborhood that has a big gay population.

    ultimathule. I brought that over because when I clicked on the link the China Voice songs came up. I was going to buy them 1.29, but was busy and decided I would buy them later. I just went back to the twitter where I got the link, clicked on it and only got US songs. ??? Thinking

    Also, just type Trespassing in the search place and then look for the The Voice – China (red cover) It contains both Trespassing & WWFM. Sweat Whew, Ulti glad we solved that problem.

    Don’t know if anyone remembers I really really disliked the song Titanium , but here is a tweet as to how I feel now:

    Thanks for that article about Jake Shears, turquoisewaters. Jake’s reaction is just a bit sad to me…saying he hopes they never cross paths. Yes, they say you should never meet your idol but idols are humans with the same habits and faults as any of us. I’m sure Jake would have a great time with a spot of tea with Bowie.

    Although Jake didn’t think he performed a good show, obviously Bowie thought it was fine. Generally the audience can’t tell the difference.

    I think about the hundreds of shows Adam has entertained us with. Bet he didn’t feel that great sometimes for whatever reason yet still put on a fantastic show…at least what most of us observed.

    Not sure why but this makes me think of that show Undercover Boss where the boss of a company goes undercover to see how the “line” employees are doing. No matter how bad a home life some of these people have, they always served their customers with a smile. At the end of the show they are recognized with usually thousands of dollars, opportunities, scholarships, etc.

    So I’ve made it a point to always be nice to people I don’t know because you never know who it may be! I could be meeting Bowie in disguise somehow. LOL! So I better be friendly. (Adam could never disguise himself so I’m not worried about that).

    Thanks for that examiner article HK fan. It was wonderful and I hope that Adam reads it. I just wish that there was some mutuality in the entertainment business and that Adam would get back some of the generosity that he spreads, not just from the fans, but from his peers. Well, Adam can only keep being himself and be guided by his own principles. It will all come back to him in the end.

    rs, Adam sang Pop That Lock before the interview. And honestly one of the fan videos was better than the tv show video, IMO. Lighting was not good. Can’t remember if he’s supposed to sing something else, WWFM? I’m not watching the show now.

    Love Taylor Hicks. Wonder if Adam had ever met him before? Wonder too if Adam got a chance to meet other Idols that were there that he hadn’t met before. Hope we get more photos.

    Is it just me or does Adam seem “calmer”…don’t know what other word to use. At the interviews from Idol, especially the post show one, didn’t seem like he wanted it to end. Just a peaceful aura around him. (except at Trader Joe’s lol).

    like Luval I was happy to see my two favorite Idols, Taylor and Adam, in one picture. Wish he wasn’t still into making faces, but what ever. He seems to be out every night now. Probably lonesome home alone. I’m sure the breakup has made changes in his lifestyle. Katri (sp) is here now visiting Sauli, not sure what she’s here for as they haven’t been doing their web show lately. Glad the boys both seem to be adjusting well but I still miss them as a couple.     Am I noticing a recent, very positive, and most welcome shift in people’s comments following an online Adam article or review?

    I learned a long time ago not to read comments because they could or would invariably become very upsetting.

    For every post saying that Adam was the best singer in music today, they would be overshadowed by the more predominant, “He sucks”, “All he does is scream”, “He’s awful. No talent” and, my favorite, “Isn’t his 15 minutes of fame up yet?” I couldn’t help but notice too those comments that were “deleted because of content” remarks. I CAN imagine what those were about.

    I’ll say it’s been for the past couple of months, six weeks
    maybe, that I’m not seeing these kind of very negative comments any more.

    What I am seeing are people praising Adam and replies in agreement with the original poster.

    Adam will always have his detractors who will stay firm in their dislike for him. But with so much positive press lately, I have to wonder if they’ve “given up” trying to denigrate him?

    With a couple of recent awards and great reviews, have they realized that they would stand out like a sore thumb and look foolish countering enthusiastic fans and respected publications singing Adam’s praises?

    Are the nay-sayers finally becoming the minority?

    I hope I’m right that the tide is starting to change for the better in people’s perceptions and feelings towards Adam.

    Or maybe I’ve only come upon and been reading from Adam-friendly sites.

    I don’t know.

    What I do know, or seem to think I know, is that there are still negative comments but the positive comments are now far outweighing the negative ones.

    I hope I’m right on the money here and not too far off the mark because if I am right …

    It’s about time!! Smile

    That’s funny – I thought the same thing. Laugh

    Adam complimented her dress – Paula/JLo – and used the word “beautiful” in his critique – Ellen/Steve Tyler.

    Considering it was a very traditional Chinese song and Adam didn’t understand a word of it, what else could he say?

    I think he’d be a bit more expansive with contestants singing in English. Big Smile

    I thought it was “beautiful” too. Smile

    He looked great sitting on that panel and would look just as great sitting on the Idol panel on this side of the ocean.

    aely, Thanks for that review of IIHY. I loved it! And I loved that video (even more than the song itself, lol). It was probably my favorite of Adam’s videos just for the way it always put such a huge smile on my face. I remember that when I first bought it from i-tunes I swore that I would watch it every morning just to put me in a good mood. Haven’t watched it for a very long time. I think another visit to the forest is long overdue.

    Loved that IIHY video review too. The only thing I would disagree about is what Adam’s apartment might look like. I have a feeling it’s sparse with just a few weird paintings, statues & wall adornments here and there.
