After we were showered with Adam goodies in April, let’s see what flowers in May. With recent tweets about new music and GLAAD honoring Adam with the Davidson/Valentini Award, May seems as if it will be a very merry month indeed. And we can’t forget the Life Ball in Vienna later in the month! Let’s hope for more great pics like we had from the CMAs (China not country music), Live Proud PSA and Miami Beach Pride.

    And I certainly took no offence re: feeling a twinge of sadness about Adam shopping without Sauli. The same thought crossed my mind, too. I miss seeing them together as a couple, but they both appear to be happy and doing fine, so that’s what’s most important to me.

    I, too, felt a twinge when I saw the shopping pic. All the other pics had been the adorable ones of Adam and Sauli food shopping together. It was a little sad seeing him shopping for one. I know that he is fine, but still… Frown

    Went to brunch that turned to early dinner with a friend and we agreed when we win the lottery tomorrow we will spend 1 million dollars to have Adam and/or Queen do a private concert for all of us. Fly everyone in and have a huge private party. Everyone cross your fingers! What a fun dream!

    Ahh, asif – understand seeing those pics that you might feel sad. But Adam has such a wide circle of friends – those he can always call on – plus family – he’ll only be alone if he feels like it. Maybe it’s a nice break for him – who knows.

    Everyone’s standings are staying pretty stable at this point, although JLo/Pitbull are gaining ground little by little on Angie/Adam.

    Too bad the numbers don’t show why people are watching the performances. Here is my take:
    Angie/JessieJ: because Angie was great and Adam is the greatest and they got excellent reviews
    Mariah: to see her lip-synching fiasco
    Angie/ JessieJ: to check out JessieJ’s bald head
    Candice/JHud: to see the winner belt it out with one of the most successful idol alumns
    JLo/Pitbull: why do you want to watch this?
    Psy: ???
    So I conclude that no matter who gets the most views, Adam/Angie get the views for the right reasons.

    Two things come to mind:

    1) He’s holding the mic farther away to not drown her out with the power of his voice, to be a gentleman, to let her have her night.

    2) His voice is just simply more powerful, and he knows it.

    He usually has his mike right up near those freckled lips.

    I have seen him move the mic away for big notes often. I think it is to avoid sound problems when the volume suddenly increases so much. I’m no sound tech expert though. And yes, he clearly was focused on optimizing the duet, not proving who can sing the loudest.
